No way they would take Benoit away from Raw right before a PPV in Edmonton.
-
But they would be associated with Heyman, which they clearly didn't want to be on Raw. I understand that they don't have to like him, but why show that if they were going to start it up? Better to have not shown it at all.
-
I do see Heyman starting a "rogue brand" in the upcoming future, though. However, I don't think it will be made up of solely former ECW stars. I think it will have some of those old stars with a mix of others that Heyman lures with talk of more exposure and a chance to wrestle. I could see London, O'Haire, and some others that are hardly ever on TV jump to ECW. Not to mention the OVW guys like Dinsmore and others that are ready to come up.
-
The wrestlers leaving for the new ECW wouldn't make much since either because of the following things: 1) They have been portraying Heyman as someone no one likes to wrestle for or follow. 2) Rhyno threw his Smackdown shirt in Heyman's face. 3) The Dudleyz and Stevie (maybe a couple others, couldn't tell) were appalled that Heyman was drafted to Raw. It was an obvious sign that only the people that had worked for him in ECW stood up and started reacting badly to him coming to their show. I know it's something that will be forgotten, but there ya go.

Here is what I think will happen as one of the trades. Kane threatened the GM's that he better not end up on the same brand as Taker. I think that Shane will be the new GM of SMackdown and won't care about the threat, and will do it as revenge on Kane. That gives Taker a feud, plays up Shane's past with Kane, and Bischoff will actually be glad to get rid of Kane and maybe get a few younger guys as compensation.

Actually, if you think about it, it is grammatically correct. What does a runner do? He runs. WHat does a Stunner do? It stuns. The correct way to say it would be "He was hit with the Stunner," or "He Stunned him."

Walking Tall was moved back a week to the 9th.

Umm, it's not saying that no one can use the phrase in speaking. It would be that no one could use it for shirts, games, videos as a catchphrase or to promote that product. It's not like Trump can sue anyone that speaks those words. Read the article again. It specifically mentions this.

Great CD! Can't go wrong with picking it up.
-
I would say that the Hayes thing is as good a bet as any.
-
Well, you see them as boring. I don't. I'm not arguing with you, it's just that we have different opinions and I don't think we can change each other's opinions. I think they could be a lot better, but I don't view them as worthless or boring.
-
I like the Bashams and have seen them throw out some good moves. I think they just need to pick it up and get a good team to feud with to bring them along. Looking at the roster, WGTT could have done that over the past couple of months.

I was laughing my ass off at Czech Republic's line about Bradshaw's update of the IRS character: "You'd better pay your taxes.......or I'll rape you." Classic!

No replies to my analogy of finishes?

Something I forgot to mention earlier..... Someone brought up Michaels' mid-air bladejob and someone else talked about him bleeding just a little at first and a lot later and how they hated that. Rewatch the match and watch closely before the slingshot. HBK and HHH are both on the outside and when Michaels rolls back into the ring, he is taking the blade out of his wrist tape. He has it in, IIRC, his left hand as he chops HHH in the corner. He actually blades as he is on his back as HHH is preparing the slingshot move. HBK is actually starting to bleed before he hits the post, but it is not noticeable at all. He did an excellent blade job in my opinion, if it was not noticeable until looking for it on the replay, as when I watched it live I thought he must have been legit busted open because he didn't seem to blade after hitting the post. Great job by Michaels to mask it so well. As for the bleeding more as the match went on, how does that not make sense? Of course he is not going to have a crimson mask upon impact! He had a cut on his forehead which bled continuously over a period of about 15-20 minutes as he was running around, taking shots to the head, and keeping his blood circualting. It should look like he severed an artery right away. That would be neither believable or safe.

I would say that the three-way match was *****. I can not find a thing wrong with the match and I was caught up in it emotionally. Now if there were a bunch of blown spots or a HHH/Steiner or Goldberg/Brock type match going on before the finish, I wouldn't give it more than **. Likewise, if the match went as it did but HHH hit the Pedigree on Benoit at the end and pinned him, I wouldn't give it more than ****. There were many different times after the table spot that the match could have conceivably ended. The Pedigree on HBK that was broken up by Benoit, the Superkick on Benoit during the Sharpshooter, HHH going for the Pedigree on Benoit, Benoit's reversal to the Crossface, HHH trying to reverse that to a cradle, Benoit rolling through that and keeping the Crossface locked on at the same time putting HHH too far away from the ropes to end the match. That gets people caught up in the match, but the match as a whole built toward that ending. For an analogy of how important an ending is, consider the movie Se7en. Say the movie went as it was up until the desert scene and the van is coming down. Somerset (Morgan Freeman) runs over and gets the box from the delivery guy. He looks into the box and says, "What the fuck?" Mills (Brad Pitt) asks John Doe (Kevin Spacey) what's in the box. Doe: "Well, yesterday I killed my neighbor and his plumber. That's what's in the box." The take him back to headquarters, he signed his confession and was sentenced to life without parole. Now would you think that Se7en would have been as good a movie with an ending that wouldn't have been as badass or make as much sense? Please respond.

I think people are jumping the gun by saying that he is is still the same. He will not be talking much, yelling "Old School" or anything else during a match, won't be riding his motorcycle to the ring, or doing his taunts to the crowd. He had the cold stare, sit-up, and slow entrance. He did the thumb across the throat gesture as well to signal the Tombstone. I like the look as well, but I would have made two or three changes. I would have kept the fingerless padded MMA gloves he uses, only made them gray or purple. I would have made the Taker symbol gray or purple, and I would have had the shirt be a sleeveless or have him wear a button up vest during his entrance then remove it before the match.

Now I am a big proponent of music in general and I like something in just about every type of music out there. I am also generally tolerant of everyone else's opinions or at least there right to voice them. However, I take offense to three things posted in this thread. 1) Someone put "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes in the category of worst songs ever 2) Someone stated that "anything by CCR" should be in the worst song ever category 3) Someone stated that they hate bars. That simply offends the alcoholic in me.

The ONE and ONLY WM's 10 Greatest Matches Thread
Dandy replied to BifEverchad's topic in The WWE Folder
This thread got me thinking about some good matches I haven't seen in awhile. I went to download Austin/Rick from X-7 and couldn't find it on Kazaa. I also couldn't find Rock/HHH ironman from Judgment Day. Anyone have these? -
Saying that the tone of the post makes him sound like a big whiner doesn't really mean that much. I could take the same info and make it sound two entirely different ways, if not more than that. *Brock Lesnar is thinking of leaving the WWE for some length of time after Wrestlemania. Lesnar is unhappy with his projected upcoming feud with The Undertaker, as he wants to look strong and Taker will most likely not sell much due to reverting back to his original character. Brock is also unhappy with facing wrestlers he feels are beneath him. Lesnar recently purchased his own plane to ease his travelling, but is still unhappy with his schedule. He most recently complained that he went all the way to South Africa to fught Bob Holly.* *Brock Lesnar might be taking some time off after Wrestlemania, according to an unnamed source. Brock feels that the WWE is not capitalizing on his character, and is favoring wrestlers that should be near retirement. Brock is scheduled to feud with The Undertaker after WMXX, and Taker will more than likely no sell most of Lesnar's offense due to nature of his character. Lesnar feels that he can be player in the main event, and that wasting him in the mid-card is a bad decision if he is supposed to be the future of the WWE. If Vince and the WWE keep up with this poor booking and planning, they might alienate Lesnar even further.* It's just up to whoever writes it and how they write it.

After Eddie Guerrero was arrested on Smackdown, how many wrestlers have now been arrested as part of the show. I remember serveral, but I know I have forgotten just as many as I remember. Austin has been arrested countless times. Undertaker has been arrested, as well as Big Show when he was The Giant in WCW. Goldberg was detained once, but I think he was arrested once as well. Who am I forgetting? I know there have been a bunch.

High School for me had this scale: 100-93 A 92-85 B 84-75 C 74-65 D 64-0 F But most of my classes in college were the 10 points for every grade level scale that was mentioned before.

Had to be at the United Center. The owner is Flair's good friend, which was shown on television every time they were there.

I seem to remember Stone Cold having Vince arrested in a reversal of roles deal a couple years after the peak of their feud.
