  1. Caught the early morning one. I'll hold most of my comments until after everyone can see it tonight - but it was just as good as last week. If not better. It's more focused on Nick this week. Best Parts: This is an awesome show.
  2. Florida gets: Bronson Arroyo Kelly Shoppach Sean Burroughs Boston Gets: AJ Burnett Mike Lowell San Diego Gets: Abe Alvarez I don't know what the fuck to even think about this. At least Lowell's albatross of a salary is gone. It's not anywhere in print, but it's on the radio. Not yet confirmed but apparently just about done. EDIT: Now that I think about it... I believe it. Lowell sat out today and they showed him crying in the dugout at one point. At first I thought he was just being a pussy about his slump and kind of forgot about it. I guess I get it now. Just remembered that.

Another big win for Woods. Incredible.
  4. You don't need an iPod for iTunes. And iTunes is best.
  5. You're 16 and banged a 23 year old. Good job.
  6. In terms of exercise... if you are doing cardio or running, there is no set time that would be better than the other. Basically, you are burning the same amount calories doing the run/bike/etc. whenever you do it. That's all that really matters when it comes to weight loss. Lots of books will break things down into formulas and propose all these crazy theories, but really the ONLY way to lose weight is to burn more than you eat. It's so simple, but there are so many people out there making money by spreading lies that a lot of people forget that. So, yeah...cardio whenever is equal. Now, as for lifting, I'm no expert on that field and I think Brian knows more, but I always thought it was better to work out in the evening or past. Again, this is just my little idea and not a fact. The reason I think this is because when you work out, your muscle doesn't really start repairing itself until you go to sleep. So, I always just kinda figured that if you work out in the evening it won't go that much of the day essentially damaged. And I can almost swear I read the evening was best in a muscle and fitness a few years ago, but I'm not sure. Ok, I just went back and read your diet. There's nothing wrong with that diet. You should keep up with it. I think if you still have HT problems, it's caused by stress or family history.
  7. Still post here, but I've been out of the country and traveling for most of the past month. Just skimmed through the thread and couldn't exactly see the question that I might be able to answer. As for your pre-hypertension, X, that could be a ton of things, but I really don't think caffeine would be at the root of it. If you are salt sensitive and eat a lot of salt, that would be it. The problem with hypertension is that it is a comorbid condition with many other problems (one goes with the other). It's pretty hard to pinpoint the exact cause of HT alot of the times, but stress is often the main factor. Brian, metabolism may be lower in the AM but BMR doesn't change over the course of a day. It's relatively constant and is the amount of energy burned if you are not moving, not digesting any food (TEF -digestion of food burns calories) and in a thermo-neutral environment (cold weather - more calories burned to keep warm). Your BMR can change over time if you gain/lose weight, etc.
  8. Great topic. I love all four of them with the only clear decision I could make would be to place Rushmore in 4th. I voted for Zissou just because I found myself silently chuckling at worst, laughing out loud at best throughout the entire movie. It just all "clicked" for me. Bottle Rocket would be a really, close 2nd. My friends and I watched this movie too many times through college and memorized probably too much of it. "Say it again. Say it one more time. You're out! You're out. And I'm out too. There's no gang. How does an asshole like Bob end up with such a nice kitchen anyway?" Great scene, great movie, but I still like Zissou a little bit better. I'm waiting for Anderson's next.
  9. I can not believe the Yankees are so desperate that they traded for Al Leiter. He has been nothing short of God awful this year - quite possibly the worst starting pitcher in all of the Major Leagues. Yeah, good luck with that guys.
  10. I thought that mission was simple. I just finished it yesterday on the first try. I just did OG Loc's dance party where all the Ballers came and tried to take over our hood.
  11. But what were the injuries? Did the horse just kick him... or it was what Cartman trained the pony to do in Scott Tenorman must die.
  12. I just turned on the MLB.TV feed too. Oh well.
  13. Even though he has sucked very badly this season, Mike Lowell actually has 25 doubles on the season, putting him near the top 5 in the entire NL. How odd.
  14. I have guaranteed delivery from Amazon on Saturday or I get it for free. Between that, my new iMac G5 and a cross country move, I have a busy two weeks coming up. I have high hopes for this book - I hope it delivers. No reason to think that it won't - all the others have.
  15. I'd imagine that you don't really need a reason to hate Jay Mariotti. Does anyone else crack up everytime Reali says "Aaaandruw Jones" in the voice of the TBS announcer? Gets me everytime.
  16. Marlins to potentially release Al Leiter and call up Jason Vargas I don't think paper requires registration. Holy crap. Wasn't expecting that.

    British Open

Tiger already shot a 66 on the first day of the British Open to move to -6. Who wins: 1) Tiger in a tight competition 2) The Field 3) Tiger via complete and total domination I'm going with 3.
  18. No other Entourage fans? Jeremy Piven is solid gold on that show.
  19. I just got this for Xbox. I finished all of sweet's missons, all of ryders, and I just finished the train mission from Big Smoke. Approximately how far away am I from flight school? I tried to hijack a plane from the airport after jumping over the brick wall, non barbed-wire portion but I didn't know how to fly it.
  20. Burnett, Lowell, and Encarnacion for Chacin and Catalonotto. Don't like that one bit. If we're throwing in Lowell, I'd like to see Aaron Hill come back.
  21. Ha. That post makes it sounds like you just walked out of the GM's office three minutes ago.
  22. Woody said something today like, "Michael, it's good to have you back. Whatever happened to that other guy?" And Reali said..."Ok, that's enough of that." I'd be pretty pissed if they brought Max back. I think Stat Boy is a better host.
  23. The AJ Burnett extravaganza is HEATING UP. Florida papers all have something different. Sun Sentinel reports the Jays are offering Gustavo Chacin and others while the trade with the Orioles for Hayden Penn, Jorge Julio and Larry Bigbie might still be on. Yankees and White Sox are also interested.
  24. So that was the big surprise that Stat Boy mentioned yesterday. Nice. Sucks that I opened this thread and read it before I hit the Tivo later, but it's not exactly earth shattering.
  25. Best Comedy: Entourage Show is incredible.
