  1. They are estimates. They often change.
  2. He looks a cross between Scarlett Johansson and Death from Bill & Ted....with a freak baby. Satan was portayed by and (I think) as a woman in this film.
  3. Much too expensive.
  4. And rest assured...they are not the people seeing this movie. I'd say less than 5% of human beings alive don't know who Christ is, and even less than that would dare see this film. You're grasping.
  5. no, she has her head covered almost the entire time, half the time her face is dirty and i don't think she has a line in the entire movie (and if she does, it's one or two and very not memorable)
  6. I saw the movie this afternoon. The violence is intense, almost unlike any violence I've ever seen in a movie. There isn't a ton of it, and it isn't extreme. There are some gruesome scenes, but it's mostly just an intense buildup. The movie is powerful, and I almost wound up in tears just from watching the punishment that Jesus went through. It wasn't so much a normal movie, but something i would recommend everyone see nonetheless. I am catholic, but I haven't been to church in years and I'm not very religious. This movie did nothing to make me change the way I feel in regards to my own life, but it made me realize just how much Jesus went through and how gruesome and horriffic it was. It was truly a great film.

    MLB 2004 Predictions

I can't wait until October, just because Anglesault expects to win. His meltdown when they inevitably don't will be monumental.
  9. Just out of curiousity, why do you brits/aussies say that? When I was in Australia, I couldn't figure out what was being talked about for about a week. Any explanation as to why it's called pulling someone?
  10. Attention whore. This is the message board equivalent of walking around with a sign around your neck that says "EVERYONE PLEASE LOOK AT ME"
  11. I never really comment on any of these things, but I've noticed a marked downward spiral since Dames fled the big apple.
  12. http://www.suntimes.com/output/ebert1/cst-ftr-passion24.html Well, the reviews have hit. Ebert calls it the most violent film ever made, and while discussing the theology behind it says that if "it makes millions of dollars, it won't be because anyone was entertained." He gave it 4* and I for one can't wait for tomorrow to go and see it.
  13. Show was amazing. Perfect ending I think. I'll post more later, but I loved it. So Big's name is John. If it was going to be generic, I think it should have been Mike...for obvious reasons.
  14. Katrina is the whiner, yes. Troy did nothing wrong, in fact it was a stroke of genius. She was the expert and knew better than he did, so he in effect tricked her into giving him the better apartment. He should win based on that alone, but I think he will for his overall performance. He was great on the celebrity auction (single handedly getting Russell Simmons to donate something good) as well as all the other tasks. I can't see him getting fired until the very end or not at all.
  15. Oswalt named Astros opening day starter. 1. Oswalt 2. Pettitte 3. Clemens 4. Wade Miller 5. Tim Redding So sayeth ESPN.com
  16. I wouldn't say bombed. It was only in 1601 theaters. I mean, it's still wide release and it could have done better, but it's not like it played in 3500 theaters.
  17. Somehow I fell off the list and managed not to suck anymore. Maybe because this was posted on my birthday.
  18. Good news out of south Florida... According to Roger Dean Stadium general manager Rob Robenecker, overall Spring Training tickets are up 53 percent. Other increases are: Spring season ticket sales (58 percent) Group tickets (142 percent) Mini-plans (30 percent) Individual game tickets (51 percent) Winning brings in the fans, it's obvious. If the Marlins can continue to field a contender or close to it every year, I believe the fans will stay.
  19. Um, how does he look like a whiny bastard Anglesault? He looks like he is not whining in the LEAST to me. He just says you can't buy a championship, you have to win it. Which means, he is supporting the Yankees move and saying it doesn't guarantee them anything.
  20. KKC, I saw the same exact game at Camden Yards last year. Jeff Conine hit an Rbi double just a few weeks before coming a Marlin. I saw a great game, with a few homeruns, and the Os pulled it out in the end. Ballpark is beautiful, and being in the luxury box didn't hurt. If you can swing it, go. It's worth seeing Camden Yards.
  21. It's not weak. It's the truth. I actually THOUGHT of anglesault when I read that. He fits the description to a tee. Never happy, etc. I think Mr. Rant just snipped the wrong part of the article. If you read the whole thing then you will get a better picture of what he means...and he's right. He's talking about you, Anglesault.

    MLB 2004 Predictions

I don't really follow the American League. So... National League: MVP: Barry Bonds (SF) Cy Young: Josh Beckett (Fla) NL East: 1) Florida Marlins 2) Philadelphia Phillies 3) Atlanta Braves 4) Montreal Expos 5) New York Mets NL Central: 1) Chicago Cubs 2) Houston Astros 3) St. Louis Cardinals 4) Cincinnati Reds 5) Milwakee Brewers 6) Pittsburg Pirates NL West: 1) Colorado Rockies [don't laugh and remember this] 2) San Fransisco Giants 3) San Diego Padres 4) Los Angeles Dodgers 5) Arizona D-backs Playoffs: Astros over Marlins Cubs over Rockies Cubs over Astros Cubs over Red Sox I know it's spring training and hope springs eternal every year, but I don't want to appear too foolish and predict the Marlins to win it all (again). I'll save that for July.
  23. Everyone says that, but Simon Cowell is not the person who owns the record company. That's Simon Fuller, the show's creater. Unless I'm missing something. I know Cowell has an important job, but Fuller is the owner.
  24. Norah Jones, 1.02 million copies. Highest debut in over two years. Kylie, not so lucky. Not even in the top 10. Sorry Kotz, but all your whining was for nothing. Back to UK/Aus only.
  25. Look at his other auctions, many are well over $1,000,000. He just sold this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2460961703 ....for at least 10 million
