There were a ton of great little bits in this episode. I liked the entire pre-credit bit with the McDonalds and the "lie detector." McNulty hammered again and the prodigal son line had me happy. I like the setup for the year... I wonder if we're going to see an all-out war between the co-op and Marlo. It's possible that Cheese gets hit to start it all off the way he was eyeing up Marlo. Herc works for Levy now? And CLEAN BUBBLES... or should I say Reginald?

I loved this movie. Some of the "Juno-isms" were a little off the mark but it was a good, touching movie. It doesn't hurt that I love anything Michael Cera does. I still haven't figured out if I think the Jason Bateman character was a creep or not.

I doubt he'll wind up doing it, but it's worthy of a thread I think. Also, a lot of big names just bypassing the UFC to go with other promotions. Dana probably isn't loving this.

He's on a couple of the specials. There are 4 of them on HBO On Demand and they are all spectacular. Two of them show a few clips from the new season.

So, I made it through all four seasons. One funny thing I noticed: In the last episode of season 4 when Bubbles tries to kill himself... he's got on an Affliction hoodie, which values at $175. Bubbles depot pays mad money, apparently. Man I'm psyched for this season.

My advice would be - don't do it. Almost done w/ my 4th year of graduate school and I regret the decision nearly all the time. Any of the 3, though, I'd do with law school. 1) It's only 3 years; 2) If you're smart about it - you can make a good life for yourself Grad school for the other two options seems to be the typical not ready for the real world type graduate student that gets made fun of on the Simpsons and other TV shows.

More accurately, two. One in each forearm. I have lipomas, which are fat cell masses, and apparently have zero percent of ever becoming cancerous. It's also an optional, unnecessary surgery if I decide I want to get them removed. That's the good news, but it's still very strange to have a very hard pea-sized lump that I can pinch and move in both of my forearms just slightly below the wrist. Anybody else ever have something like this? Scared the shit out of me for a day or two there... luckily WebMD and a few other sites eased my fears before I saw the Dr.

I just got the zip files of the top 100 singles from Pitchfork off of stereogum. Lots of stuff I haven't heard before - lots of stuff that's a bit too electronic for me. I know this doesn't necessarily belong in this thread but nowhere else to put it really. If you're interested... don't know how long the files will be up.

I'm moving back to Chapel Hill in June, most likely. I'd be beyond thrilled if that happened, but it never will.

So, apparently $50M was set aside for the Orange Bowl before it got demolished. Today, Miami officials voted to give that money to the Marlins. All of it. The state, which is the major obstacle to a stadium, is no longer needed, and apparently all $525M needed for the stadium is in hand. I made sure before I posted this here as to how close this truly is, and apparently this is a few signatures short of a done deal. In time to keep Hanley, at least.
