Kiske as Maiden's vocalist would have been interesting. Though if memory serves, he no longer had any interest in singing metal anymore. The reason why Blaze was chosen is because Harris liked the guy (both personally and as a singer).

Bruce WANTED to leave. And really, as far as musicians are concerned, what else is there to do? Calling it quits is not an option.
-
As far as music and movies go, yes.
-
But they DID do that with the X-Factor. It's a dark and depressing record unlike anything Maiden had ever done. Compare 'Fear of the Dark' with 'X Factor' and you'll see. People seem to either love it or hate it. I fall into the former category. On the other hand, I agree with you when it comes to Blaze's second album with maiden, Virtual XI. It was more lighter, and happier, and Blaze DID sound out of place in many of the songs.
-
That's a poor example and a pretty silly point as well.
-
True, Blaze owns it. And though I prefer Bruce singing 'Sign of the Cross' and 'The Clansman' (I'm eagerly awaiting his rendition of 'Lord of the Flies'), I prefer Blaze's singing of Afraid To Shoot Strangers than Bruce's. I love that song.

Evil Dead The Exorcist From Dusk Til Dawn Evil Dead 2 Night of the Living Dead (1968) The Shining Psycho (1960) Alien

The shining scarier than the exorcist?
DARRYLXWF replied to PLAGIARISM!'s topic in Television & Film
I remember when I first saw the Shining. I was 11 at the time, and I had a friend over. I also believe that was the first night that I never got to sleep. The Grady Twins still scare me, and that man in the dog costume giving a bj to some other guy still makes me laugh. I mean really, what the fuck?! -
That's incredible. I can't believe Baby Ruths haven't come to Australia yet. But now that I finally have the oppurtunity to ask, what exactly are they? What are the ingredients? These things I must know.
-
Oh, you mean 'hear hear'. Yeah, usually when the prime minister or cabinet minister finishes a statement, his party will say 'hear hear', meaning 'Hell yeah.' It's derived from the british parliament.
-
In Australia's case, if the members of parliament are yelling, they're probably saying something to their opposing party, like 'You suck', only in politically correct terms.

I was recently forced to go to a concert of 'Yes'. I'd heard the name but not the music. I was impressed to say the least, and since then I've collected a respectable amount of their work. Their albums from the early 70's are really good, and I'd recommend that before any later stuff.

Yes. Yes it is. You sound like I've just written a tirade about how much the movies are faithful to the book. This isn't the case. I merely agreed with Dames when he said that the films are trying to be faithful to the book. You know they are. Sure, we've had the Old Forest and Tom Bombadil completely cut out, Helm's Deep's ending is different in both versions, a quarter of what happens in the two towers has been left for the third film, the scouring of the shire is now apparently not going to take place, Arwen's role in the films has been dramatically increased compared with the books...loads of stuff. My point is, the essence of what has made the novels so great, so epic, is still present in the films. We can't ask for every scene and every tree that are in the books to be placed in the film, but the themes and messages that were carried out in the books are still in the film. Christopher Tolkien has come out and stated that he doesn't believe the novels are fit for visual interpretation, and he has a lot of merit to what he says. I disagree though, and I'm glad that these films have opened up the LOTR to a wider audience, so they to, can enjoy the greatest fantasy tale every told, and may now pursue the books. So I'm sticking to what I said, I still believe that the films are trying to be faithful to the book.

This is a new low. Factory Worker? How is this funny, clever, or witty in the least? Its beyond me. seconded. Maybe he's a pinko commie, marxist, socialist, or am I giving him to much credit? Power to the Working Class? Now, Kalrl Marx. That would be a gimmick. Get him arguing with Freud. Hell, someone do a Charles Darwin gimmick and make it a 3-way dance. We've already had two communists come to the smart marks and defend the proletariat. Anyone remember?

*snort* What's there to snort about? It's true.

Zoofus can go to the LSD folder and ask the female dinosaurs whether or not they look at themselves naked in the mirror. Oh yeah, and he can post a pic of his cock while he's at it.

Okay, I'm dead. NOW what am I supposed to do?
-
I thought it was pretty funny, but yeah, better off at the NHB.

Well, that's all a matter of opinion (all except the sloppiness, I'll pay that one), as is everything with music. It's just that a ridiculously large amount of people seem to like Zeppelin, Page, and Stairway, and there's a reason.
-
Okay, that makes more sense. Especially seeing as how Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Aragorn marries Arwen It would be silly not to give her more screen time.
-
True, the Aragorn and Arwen love affair was hardly present in the books (but it WAS there). Basically, I think it was done to appeal to the feminine section of the audience, and from what I gather from various female friends, more Aragorn means more wet pussies....yeah.

Amazing how one solo is enough to eliminate the validity of an entire poll, eh? The studio version of the Staiway solo is good, but nowhere near #1. The live version from 'The Song Remains the Same' is far superior, and could be well considered for a top 10, even top 5 placing.
