Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
griffinmills replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Damn this just makes no sense, not just Benoit himself which would be very very sad but his family too?? -
Did you set the tivo to not encrypt the recordings? I know I had to do that before I could take recordings off my tivo and put them on DVD, watch them, etc. If you have done that then you may need to run them through something like tytools and turn them into mpg files, this is a really fast process, about as fast as copying the file from one location to another. There are probably ways to watch or listen to the files directly but I never needed to know that, sorry. Look around on the deal database forums for more info.

Dont forget he has a manager named "Monsther" (sic.)

I echo this... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh there was boogeyman alright.
-
There's an instrumental of sorts at the end of the credits. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed there was.

In some circles, the above quote could actually be racist. I'm insterested to know if this is the case, as it seems odd that it would be put with nothing else. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> BOGGLE. Hey, I did some google searching and I can't for the life of me figure out how this will turn out to be racist. Fill us in!

I just put Iberoamerican into dictionary.com but didn't get anything, what does it mean?
-
Not to be contrary but I do frequently go to see movies that have actors I like in ancilliary roles. Anything with a Bruce Campbell cameo for instance :-)

I think I need more frame of refrence. I was of the faction that didn't think he was whine-ing in the more recent web posts. So if that is to which you refer than I respectfully disagree.

Somebody has gots ta post a sound bite! Puweeze!

Didn't he save Vader? That's what kind of ruined the debut for me, it looked awkward to have someone the size of Vader need help from a relatively small, normal looking guy like Blackman. Plus, I hate it when they use a 'guy jumps out of the audience to help the face' type of debut ... it's no wonder why drunken hicks then think it's kosher to jump the barrier and interfere. "Hey, it got Blackman a job ... maybe if I run in and push over the ladder they'll give me a job, too!" IIRC Vader was being attacked by, I think, the Hart Foundation. Blackman did some kicky thing and then Vader basically saved Blackman from the security that was coming out to detain him. I remember Vader covering/restraining Blackman to "save" him from the security guys.

I'm thinking that if this is ones train of thought than a lot of things aren't going to fly as a finisher. IMO under these standards powerbombs, powerslams, various "strike" type finishers like top rope dropkicks and leg drops etc would also have to be stricken as not good enough. I would guess that nothing short of Piledrivers, DDT and Submission type finishers would qualify as enough to get a 3 count. Unfortunately finishers have always seemed to just be magical to me. Hogans legdrop always killed a guy but not Earthquake or Andre's? Orndorf's piledriver vs. everyone else? It was always just understood that the guy doing his finisher knew exactly how and when to apply it perfectly to get the win. That Randy Savage knew exactly how to launch or lean his body to make an regular top rope elbow do "more damage" than anyone else. I will readily admit though that I thought he could do something to help us suspend belief a little easier.

I understand that VOD is neat and all for Digital Cable folks but why don't they also offer a standard version that can be shown for non-digital cable folks? For instance many people with Dish/DirectTV have tivos that, once they grab a showing, can do the exact same thing. Couldn't they just show everything in a 20 hour straight loop on a premium channel or break it in to 5 4 hour blocks 7 3 hour blocks or whatever...? I'm not AGAINST VOD per se, I catch Sopranos that way, it just seems odd to "limit" yourself this way.

when did London win the title? And there's only one luchadore WWE needs to sign... ...that's right; *Marks for the return of the Atlantis joke*

I do not agree with the stances that find this "affordable."

To what does the "acting black" thing refer? I don't see it in this thread and none of the posts say they have been edited. I did a search for "acting black" and it only turned up this thread.

I did a forum search and have poked around on Google but I haven't found what I'm looking for so I thought I would post the question here. Who exactly owns (or whatever the term is) Firestorm? Marvel or DC? Some sites mention his comics and stuff are DC but then I see him starring in a cartoon show with Spiderman and Iceman... Can anyone clear it up or point me to a good site on this? Thanks in advance!

Thank you! As soon as I read "FireSTAR" it was like a lightbulb turned on in my head and it all made sense.

Many Feel Triple H Pushed For Rushed Orton Turn
griffinmills replied to claydude14's topic in The WWE Folder
Except for the guy 4 posts and 4 hours before you... I have to agree with the thought that if less people "made up news" then there would be less friction with the "IWC." Does anyone know if there is a WWE backed hotline/rumor thing anymore? Seems if folks are going to PAY for 3rd+ hand info the WWE might as well get in on the action. -
http://bash.org/?4281 I'm eagerly awaiting your triumph in the face stabbing field!

Yes, because it makes you vomit in real life also. Yes and don't forget the new alternate skins will automagically be the default for the site, boot your computer, connect to the internet and self launch forums.smartmarks.com in a full screen browser window while playing irresitable hypnotic suggestions via your pc speaker to come, look at them and puke on the floor of the internet and real life. Skins and stuff like them are wonderfull signs of affection and, due to the ability to customize the site, affect only those who wish to use them. Sounds utopian to me. Thumbs up for skins!

Everyone has some really good winners, I'll double up a few as in "I second that!" The series of games known in Japan as "Rushing Beat" and in America under "Rival Turf" (Not so good) "Brawl Brothers" (a sleeper redeemed by it's "Japan Mode" code) and "Peace Keepers" (good-ish.) Brawl Brothers in particular has all kinds of quirky stuff that is fun to uncover. A 2d beat em up that lets you throw your Med Kit or Turkey Dinner at enemies had some kind of crazy ajenda! Saturday Night Slam Masters or Muscle Bomber in Japan. I contend that this game is BETTER on SNES than in the Arcade. Had one of the meanest computer AI's this side of a SNK Neo Geo boss. Allows 2p co-op and 4 player vs. Capcom usual attention to detail is amazing and helps this game shine. Super Contra (Contra 3?) is likely still the driving force behind all the poor sequels we've been getting lately. It is that good. Fatal Fury Special is quite possibly my favorite game of all time but not so great for co-op. To put it in perspective I own a stand up arcade box of this and Final Fight. Which leads me to Final Fight 2 and 3. Final Fight 2 is fine, a messy followup that allows co-op and threw in gratuitous Street Fighter 2 refs. Some people really liked Maki and Carlos for some reason on the A.G.SF2 newsgroups. Final Fight 3 showed real steps to help bolster the sagging series with Meters that allow flashier specials and much improved (on the Snes side) graphics and is reccomended slightly higher than FF2. TMNT: Turtles in Time is an example of a great Arcade port to SNES. Lots of variety in moves will let you beat it a couple of times but otherwise is a bit short. Super Double Dragon is probably the slowest paced beat em up you will ever play. Really deliberate play style and rewards you for studying and reacting properly to the enemies. Our cart would sometimes lock up on the "elevator" stage near the end, grr! We STILL played it! Mario Kart features psuedo co-op by challenging for the cup in a split screen where you can try and keep the computer down and one of you always in first place. This game is so good that there are fans who will tell you neither of the 3d sequels are better games! Secret of Mana if you have a multitap you can play this 3p co-op. As a 3p RPG it actually will take you time to beat making it really difficult if you have flaky friends! Worth all the effort you can put into it. Legend of the Mystical Ninja is an amazing, campy and funny 2p co-op with all kinds of different elements thrown in. Sort of a River City Ransom with more side scrolling and less leveling. Super Smash TV put it on hard mode and play it untill you get all the Pleasure Domes and secrets. You are now a much better gamer! Big prizes! 2p co-op is frustrating with a partner that "sucks."

or "Honest non-murdering suckers" heck... what is the opposite of a murderer? A doctor or someone else that saves lives? Although I must admit I agree with UYI to a certain extent but this is one of those debates that is really old.

How do you think WWE will end the Kane/Lita angle?
griffinmills replied to DerangedHermit's topic in The WWE Folder
Asking why of a joke is usually about the stupidest thing you can do, btw. 9 times out of 10 the joke is ruined by explaining it alone. I would personally force everyone I know to coerce everyone THEY know into watching Raw in an attempt to boost ratings if the answer to this debacle was La Parka. Poor guy has been rocking the house down in CMLL but can't seem to win a match.
