Comments which don't warrant a thread.
garfieldsnose replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
Your sig reminds me, ever see that NHL Christmas commercial with the family and everyone gets Rangers gifts and are so excited and the son is a Flyers fan and gets a shovel, socks, a belt, and other shit? I laffed. -
So which poster would you most like to fight?

I love foodin. -
Absolutely the worst call I've ever seen live. The bad thing is they reviewed it and STILL called it a first down. There is no excuse for that. Instead of the other 150 ppl, the NFL should have fired some of these refs.

I think Batista/Orton has the biggest chance of being a letdown match. It is supposed to be this great big important match, but I can see them not making it work. Hope I'm wrong, though.

Wrestlers who you did not want to see succeed

The Great Khali. But now he is awesome, so I'm glad he is sort of a success. -
This PPV looks good on paper. The PPV's have been very good recently. I see no reason, besides two matches, that this will not be a good-great PPV. EDIT: And I still find no reason to start a PPV thread of a PPV you aren't going to watch. Doesn't make sense to me.

Then why do you feel like you have to start a thread for this?

WWE General Discussion - December 2008

Nitpicking is the best. They won the World Tag Team Titles, not the WWE Tag Team Titles. I win. -
Not if the Orioles learn how to win on Sundays. Then the Yank$, $ox, and Rays are in trouble. See, I used the $ sign instead of an s. I am clever.

Domination against the Penguins yesterday. Let's keep it going, boys. 12-1-3 in their last 16.

WWE General Discussion - December 2008

Your mom's bad in the ring. -
Your "no" is so wrong it's not even funny. Victoria was once the best woman wrestler on the roster. She is not now. His statement said she was the best female wrestler on the roster. Which means now. And she's not the best female wrestler on the roster right now. So my "no" is so right, but you're right, it's not funny, nor was it supposed to be funny.

Flyers score 4 goals in the third period and then sweep a shootout 2-0 to beat the Hurricanes in the most amazing Flyers comeback I've ever seen.
-
I think it's pretty sad that the team you root for just won the World Series and you are far more concerned about the Yankees. Far more concerned? No. You can think it's sad if you want, but that's not what's going on here. God forbid I say something bad about the Yankee$.
-
Still waiting for the season when the Yankees buy their own WS trophy. Pretty soon the government is going have to bail out the Yankees. Here's to hoping they crumble. Cheers.

Something tells me if she can't walk in 10-20 years, people will blame WWE for letting her wrestle for too long.

Impact Spoilers for December 11th
garfieldsnose replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Well it makes sense that Ray and Angle would agree to it. I guess Shelley will win the X Title and drop it to Homicide the next day or something. It's not "smart" booking, I guess you could say. If you make a match so soon for disbanding either group, nobody is gonna buy it. -
Always hated the escape the cage rule. Though, it does make for some exciting endings.
-
No, because it was actually on TV last week. If it was the dark match last week, then I'd be up in arms. For no reason, actually. It doesn't really matter. Why have a cage match with the same people in the main event in back-to-back weeks? This isn't TNA! Thought I'd throw a shot at TNA for good measure, but for no good reason. Just needed to make my usual anti-TNA remark.
-
Remember bps, when it comes to TNA, people around here will complain about anything. Even on a show, that on paper, looks pretty good. Pot meet kettle.

Perhaps her bad knee(s?) got the best of her.

I'm not tremendously high on J.A. Happ. How many good MLB starters were full time AAA starters at the age of 25? And Happ was good in AAA, not dominant. I've seen him live a couple of times, he never impressed me. Check the TSM blog for more thoughts on that. I'll be stunned if Happ is as good as Randy Wolf was from 2000-02. Coste is obviously expendable with Marson coming up and Ruiz possibly sliding into the backup role. I'd support the trade myself. DeRosa would replace Utley in the short term, and be a useful piece in the long term. It also helps that he's a righty hitter, and a UPenn graduate. Good points, as usual. But I think Ruiz will be the starter this season barring unforeseen events. His work in the playoffs will get him a year or two as a starter, imo.
-
alkeip, the rumor is a three team trade with the Cubs getting Peavy, Phils getting DeRosa, and Padres getting possibly Happ and Coste. Thoughts? I'd like to keep Happ, he has a ton of potential. He's a lefty, too, and so far looks better than Randy Wolf did in Philly.
