Your Five Favorite Anything

4.) Ghostface Killah-Fishscale

I never really got what people see in this album. I love Supreme Clientele and Ironman and I think Ghost was the second best part of Cuban Linx (behind RZA's career-best production work), but Fishscale always felt kind of sloppy and unfinished to me. It's certainly got some great stuff on it, but it just doesn't seem to hold together the way the best Wu-Tang stuff does. Maybe it's the complete lack of RZA (or even Mathematics) beats?

I think we've corrupted Ravenbomb with the Zappa.

I haven't done a Zappa list in a while, now that I think of it.

1. Big Swifty (Waka/Jawaka)

2. Black Napkins (Zoot Allures)

3. Inca Roads (Helsinki Concert)

4. Advance Romance (Bongo Fury)

5. City of Tiny Lights (Sheik Yerbouti)

Tough to dispute any of those. I'd probably go with Watermelon, Outside Now (from Broadway), What's New In Baltimore?, City of Tiny Lites, and Black Napkins, though.

album intermissions (skits don't count):

1. blur - "the debt collector", parklife

2. ween - "the HIV song", chocolate & cheese

3. tool - "intermission", aenima

4. tori amos - "mr. zebra", boys for pele

5. nine inch nails - "big man with a gun", the downward spiral

five is sort of a borderline case, as you could sort of argue that it's a real song. i think it counts because it's only a minute & a half long, it's obviously a throwaway that doesn't quite fit the tone of the album, it's the only track that sort of has a sense of humor, and it serves a preparatory function for "a warm place."

Five songs that make me want to murder the classic rock radio DJ as soon as I hear the song begin.

Joe Walsh-"Life's Been Good"

Grand Funk Railroad-"I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home"

The Eagles-"Seven Bridges Road"

Def Leppard-"Photograph"

The Eagles-"Peaceful Easy Feeling"

There's more. Most of which involves The Eagles.

I've never heard of any of these songs, I guess I should be happy.
