Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I was listening to my local sports radio station here in Toronto called the Fan 590, and they were doing a wrestling segment this evening hosted by Stormin' Norman & Joltin' Joe, and here are some of the noteworthy things they said: - Goldberg will be facing Chris Jericho in a rematch at SummerSlam instead of Triple H for the World Title. This is punishment for Goldberg blowing up backstage at Linda McMahon's comments about him being a disappointment recently. - They said Mick Foley will main event SummerSlam against Triple H for the World Title. - SummerSlam '2004 will be at the SkyDome, and the WWE will announce this sometime in December. LMOA! Goldberg not getting the shot that he didn't deserve in the first place. That's just too funny.
Mecha Mummy Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Heheheh.... *Tries not to laugh maniacally.*
Guest CronoT Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 There's absolutely no point having Mick Foley in a Title match at SummerSlam, because we all know it's a job. He won't win, because he'll be gone the night after, probably even sooner.
LooseCannon25 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 and Mick Foley deserves the title shot instead of him? Someone help me understand this logic please
Guest Downhome Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Since when did 590 AM became the breaking news source for Pro. Wrestling? Sorry if I seem a bit, well, if I don't believe it. I do however feel that Goldberg/Jericho should take place at Summerslam, as well as HHH/Foley, that all sounds great to me.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 All bow to the World HHHeavyweight Champion for life, Triple H!
Guest ISportsFan Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 You guys know that this was only said on a random Toronto radio show, right? Not saying this isn't true, but we should probably wait for conformation from da Meltz (most importantly) or da Wade (second most importantly). Jason
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 So HHH will continue his winning streak while Foley does all the bumping, Goldberg will get punished by getting to squash Jericho again, then we get to see Golberg get squashed by HHH in September or so. Gee, can't wait.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I hate Goldberg but why have a non-wrestler who has no shot in hell of winning ME the 2nd biggest show of the year over the guy who's supposed to be carrying the company? Now, 1. Foley is next on HHH's hit list and that reign'll go on forever. 2. Goldberg's dead no doubt about it. 3. Foley's legacy will be fucked doing EXACTLY what he spent half of 2000 saying he wouldn't do and that's wrestling again for no damn reason but boost HHH's ego.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 The headline is misleading..I was thinking he got mad and punched out another limo window and would be out 9 months..
LooseCannon25 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Geez..........HHH vs. Foley might be one of the most one sided fueds ever. The only time i remember Foley beating him was at Raw in 97 when he broke out the Cactus JAck character for MSG. Besides that its been all HHH
Guest The Old Me Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I don't buy it. Foley in the Main Event at SS is retarded unless he's making a comeback, which again, would be retarded. I hope they job out Goldberg then fire him, although that's a large waste of money.
Murmuring Beast Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 If Foley faces Triple H, thew will bigger buyrates than they would if Goldberg was in the match. This pretty much means that Kane gets demasked or whatever next week.
Guest Nevermortal Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I don't get it......Goldberg doesn't deserve a title shot, but Mick Foley, and KEVIN NASH do? Goldberg at least defeated The Rock. Nash did nothing. Mick Foley is retired. That makes no fucking sense.
LooseCannon25 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 They can get rid of him without paying him....all they have to do is keep jobbing him until he gets fed up and afraid his character will be killed and he agrees to part ways with them.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Hmmm, I think that Foley may do a Rock. By which i mean, come back, have HHH job to him (because he's established) then drop it to annother heel the next month and fuck off. MARK MY WORDS~!
B. Brian Brunzell Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Foley vs. HHH eh? Keep elevating that young talent, boys.
Guest ManKinnd Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Geez..........HHH vs. Foley might be one of the most one sided fueds ever. The only time i remember Foley beating him was at Raw in 97 when he broke out the Cactus JAck character for MSG. Besides that its been all HHH Don't forget Austin was NEVER pinned by Rock until WMXIX.
LooseCannon25 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Next, after SummerSlam at Unforgiven it'll be HHH vs. Pat Patterson for the World Title.
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I don't get it......Goldberg doesn't deserve a title shot, but Mick Foley, and KEVIN NASH do? Guest The Old Me Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 That makes no fucking sense. Than that's what WWE will do, probably.

Guest Vyce Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I never thought I'd say this but..... Fuck Goldberg got ROBBED. Foley shouldn't even be within 100 miles of the WWE at this point. YOU'RE ABOVE IT ALL, MICK. Just go off and write good, bestselling books. Please don't piss away your legacy, especially on someone the likes of HHH.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I never thought I'd say this but..... Fuck Goldberg got ROBBED. . No, FGB couldn't get the fans to stop cheering for the heels.

Guest The Old Me Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Jericho had better win. I think Jericho will always be their "job boy." They should screw Goldberg over in severe fashion.

To be honest, the first time I read what you wrote I thought you said Foley/HHH was THE most one-sided feud ever. I see you said it was one of them, so my post was pretty much worthless. Sorry.
