Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Besides this RAW being totally kickass so far, I have to say the Women's scene is again a high point. I think it's even better with Molly, Gail, and Trish than with Vicky and Jazz. Gail was a great heel tonight and Molly plays a great heel herself. I also found it funny that Trish was doing alot of Austin's moves tonight and she blew a spot tonight. Austin of course MADE WWE style. So that furthers the point that WWE style can cause blown spots and even worse injuries because you're trying to lock yourself into one way of doing things you're not familiar with. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I'll agree that WWE style has made for just as many, if not more, injuries as before, but RAW has been the same old bland RAW as usual.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I loved the women's match. Wish it got a little more time, but you get what you get. And Molly is such a good heel. Gail wasn't bad herself, but that last spot was pretty damn awesome.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Raw's been kick-ass? Eh, hasn't gotten above "meh" from me yet. Lance Storm/Goldust skit was funny, and Hurricane was fun (as always), but beyond that Raw's been pretty blah.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 All the women suck but Molly, but Trish and Vicky aren't too bad.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 The finish was great, and Molly is wonderful. Too many blown spots from the challengers for me to really enjoy it, though.
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 The finish was really well done, but Trish blew a spot she's done hundreds of times before, and Gail nearly killed herself with that plancha. Yes they have had better performances before but if this is the 'highpoint', you can have it.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I just saw the end of the women's match, and I didn't think it was that bad. Most of the women's matches have been fun to watch, but who really expects to see Flair/Steamboat out of them?

Based on your latest remark I think you're the one with the bug up your ass (or the sand in the vagina as you put it) I didn't interpret his latest post like that. I don't really care that in 2001 Chyna had the belt. I care about 2003. Where Molly has the belt despite being a jobber for the past little while, Gail Kim has completely flopped, Trish is stale, Jazz is AWOL, Ivory is in and out and Victoria is directionless. Bob, please clear that itchy sand out of your vagina before you reply again. Trish is fun to watch, Gail seems to ahve new life now that she has a discernable character, Victoria, Molly, and Jazz are all very talented women with painful looking movesets. The dvision's as good as it will ever get.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Raw sucked. I haven't been so happy to be done with reviewing that show since I took over SmackDown. The finish of the women's match did kick ass though
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 At first I heard the injury was a work so Teddy Long could go off about the "man" screwing him again but I think with Teddy saddled up- they had to scratch it. Any word on how long Jazz will be out if the injury is true?
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Trish is fun to watch But after being the top face for a year and a half- her character is starting to get a bit stale. I was happy when they were having her do jobs and moving her down the card a bit. Gail seems to ahve new life now that she has a discernable character She badly fucked up a pescado tonight. She's still very green and they need to send her down to OVW pronto. Victoria Has no current programme and is directionless right now. Molly I like her but it was a mistake to put the title on her without building her up first. Jazz Has not been on TV for a while. The dvision's as good as it will ever get. I thought the division was much better earlier in the year when Jazz came back
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 12, 2003 1. As long as she gets pops, she's fine. She's the Hulk Hogan of women's wrestling, why mess with a good thing? 2. She messed up one move. She doesn't need to be sent down, she needs to continue wrestling now that she (GASP!) has heat. 3. Irrelevent. She could easily win the belt next week. She just didn't happen to be in the match tonight. 4. She's injured. SHE'S STILL THERE BOB. Give her a couple weeks to heal before declaring her "AWOL" 5. Does it matter what you think? I admire your valiant struggle to clear the sand out of your vagina, but I don't go saying that every post.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 As long as she gets pops, she's fine. She's the Hulk Hogan of women's wrestling, why mess with a good thing? And look what eventually happened to Hulk Hogan. If you make someone the centrepiece of something for too long they eventually get stale. I liked when they were foreshadowing a Trish heel turn but I think Gail killed all that. She messed up one move. She also was sloppy in the tag match with Trish v. Molly and Victoria. She doesn't need to be sent down Yes she does- send her down, make sure she is ready and then repackage her so the fans forget about her. She needs to continue wrestling now that she (GASP!) has heat. I didn't notice Gail getting much heat once she hit the ring or during the match. Irrelevent. She could easily win the belt next week. She just didn't happen to be in the match tonight. Victoria has not wrestled on RAW since July 21st. That's a long time. She could win the belt tomorrow because they haven't buried her yet. She's injured. SHE'S STILL THERE BOB. She's been AWOL since June 30th. I'd consider that more then a couple weeks. Especially since no one has heard a thing about her. That was after TEN YEARS, BOB. Trish isn't quite there yet. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. 2. She...was...SLOPPY? OMG! So is half the damned RAW Roster. 3. How are they going to repackage her so they forget about her? Put her under a hood? You send her down now, and she becomes the female Bull Buchanon. He never got over because he was immeadiatly shunted down, and when he finally did become passable, he was so unover from it that he had to leave. 4. Exactly, she isn't involved RIGHT NOW. But if she won the belt next week it would be believeable because we've seen how capable she is. 5. Ok Bob, sow hy don't you wait till you KNOW soemthing before proclaiming her AWOL. YOU CAN'T BE INJURED AND AWOL. AWOL MEANS ABSENT WITHOUT LEAVE. SHE HAS INJURY LEAVE. SHE IS NOT AWOL.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 12, 2003 "I didn't notice Gail getting much heat once she hit the ring or during the match." - Bob barron You also didn't notice the tremendous amount of sand in your vagina till now. Her interview segment was good, and she got as much heat as any of the other RAW female heels (Little).
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 That was after TEN YEARS, BOB. Trish isn't quite there yet. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. In today's wrestling world people become stale much more quickly. Trish is starting to show signs of it and they should depush her just a bit so this doesn't occur. That's why I was pleased why she was doing clean jobs to Molly recently. She...was...SLOPPY? OMG! So is half the damned RAW Roster. So that makes her blown pescado and her blown spot exhibition a few weeks ago okay? While no wrestler is perfect they shouldn't be as bad as Gail. She's a hazard in the ring. How are they going to repackage her so they forget about her? Put her under a hood? You send her down now, and she becomes the female Bull Buchanon. I think part of that had to do with the fact that Bull Buchanan sucked. I don't think they should give up on Gail and send her packing. Send her to OVW for a while and then when she is ready- you bring her back. If she starts becoming a competent wrestler then she'll get over. Exactly, she isn't involved RIGHT NOW. But if she won the belt next week it would be believeable because we've seen how capable she is. She hasn't been involved since Wrestlemania- except for a mini feud with Trish Stratus that ended with out explanation. She's not bringing any positives to the division currently. Ok Bob, sow hy don't you wait till you KNOW soemthing before proclaiming her AWOL. She's been gone since June 30th with no explanation. YOU CAN'T BE INJURED AND AWOL. AWOL MEANS ABSENT WITHOUT LEAVE. SHE HAS INJURY LEAVE. SHE IS NOT AWOL. Do we know what the injury is? How she got it? How long she's out for? If she's even injured? No- then I consider her AWOL. Most of the women's matches have been fun to watch, but who really expects to see Flair/Steamboat out of them? The end of the match was the best part, and I am not being sarcastic. iamsherm 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 The crazy thing is, I find the women's wrestling segments to be one of the most entertaining parts of the show these days. Sure, they don't put on the smoothest of matches, and aren't the greatest actresses to ever grace the small screen, but you can tell they really care out there and are working hard. This is more than I can say for a vast majority of the men on the RAW roster. That said, I think the women's division is stale, and it's not Trish's fault either. Each week on RAW, you can count on one segment reserved for a women's match, usually involving 4 or 5 of the "divas." I'm probably in the minority, but I would like to see them have TWO women's matches a night once in a while ... just to shake things up.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Quote "Do we know what the injury is? How she got it? How long she's out for? If she's even injured?" Victoria's been battling an injured leg for awhile. That's why she's wearing the leg brace. Last week's Raw looked to be the final straw. When she first came down to the ring interfering she threw around Stratus? and busted her leg. That's where she hurt herself. It was either from preforming the move or from her opponent landing on her leg. (perhaps a combination of both) It was immediatly evident and looked very, very sick. She gutted it out afterwards though. Kudos to her and kudos to the women tonight for despite being out there for only a couple of minutes were easily the best part of Raw.
