Exactly why is Shane wrestling @ Summerslam again?

Recommended Posts

I got into it a week and a half ago with some posters about how Shane is a spotlight hog with the whole Kane thing. Then last week it appeared Shane was put out and RVD was in for the match with Kane at Summerslam. It looked like Shane took himself out of storylines to sell the tombstone on the steps.

Lo and behold that wasn't happening because Shane is a badass mofo'in McMahon and them there McMahons cannot look weak in any way shape or form. He's hurt, but not hurt enough that he is going to wrestle Bischoff at Summerslam.

Why is Shane wrestling Bischoff at Summerslam? The only reason I can think of is to stroke that ego cock all McMahons seem to have with the exception of Linda. There is no reason whatsoever that Shane should be on this ppv with a match. Plus it's Bischoff. Now I know Shane isn't taking a big bump cause there is no way in hell Shane is selling for the former competition's boss. Steph got shit for booking herself in a match on ppv last month and it was well deserved. This is no exception. There is literally no reason that this match should take place. It is taking a potential match and ppv payday away from some other wrestlers and I feel it's wrong. Sure, hardly anyone on the Raw roster is over enough to warrant a ppv spot, but I feel it's wrong that Shane and Eric should take that payday from the guys who go out on the road every week and bust their ass for little money being that house show business has been in the shitter.

Rant over.

I like Shane O'Mac but I think it's bullshit that their giving us Bischoff v. Shane. If you're gonna use Shane- have him be made to look like a bitch against a real wrestler.

Instead he's gonna overcome the odds, jump off something really high and beat Eric Bischoff. Whoopity shit.

I guess Lawler was right 'This is a match that should be on PPV'

But... but.... Shane is the good McMahon!

...or at least that's what certain posters here will try to tell you.

No one in their right mind should want to see Shane wrestle on the second biggest PPV of the year, let alone against fellow non-wrestler Bischoff. You're on to something about Shane not taking a sick bump (his only saving grace) against Bischoff, this match is purely for the humiliation of Uncle Eric, nothing more, nothing less.

I hope Bischoff shoots on the little bastard.

And worse, the whole segment was so hideous contrived. Yeah, I'd sure sign papers for a match handed to me by my arch-rival without reading them.

They should have had Kane go after Ross again, and have RvD make the save. And Shane should go back to doing whatever he does.

My main beef was the pro-Shane crowd kept saying how it was ok for Shane to come back because he would put Kane over and how Shane isn't a tv hog like his father and sister.

Now he's on ppv taking up a spot in a match that is pointless. He's a hog. He may not be around as much as sis and pop, but when he's out there, he's a hog not looking to put over anything except himself.

Maybe Shane will jump off the top of the EC?

Anyway, as much as a Bischoff fan that I am, he should NOT be on the SS CARD!

Note to WWE: NOBODY WANTS TO PAY TO SEE SHANE VS. BISCHOFF. Thanks for screwing some RAW talent out of a SS card spot, you assholes!

I'd rather see Shane wrestle than anyone else on Raw, with the exception of Jericho and Helms.

Sue me...

Agreed.

I wasn't interested in Shane/Kane, but at least the marks would give a shit about it.

Bischoff/Shane? No. Nobody cares.

And Bisch/Vince would have been mildy interesting 4 years ago.

That'd be nice if Shane was a regular performer, going out on the road doing house shows and busting his ass. That's not the case. Instead he comes out, steals a ppv spot, gets himself over, humiliates one of the authority figures on the show, and then leaves for some undisclosed amount of time.

Polish Rifle said it best. We just can't have a ppv without a McMahon wrestling now can we?

Shane will still be fighting Kane at the PPV one way or another. RVD will get destroyed sometime from now until then and Shane will have to take his place. It is the dumb way to go and they should have just kept it in the direction they were going in .

It'd be nice if they even explained WHY Shane hates Bischoff.

Since wrestling is becoming less and less mainstream, they're trying to keep their core audience. They're trying to do it by pushing the storylines more toward appealing to those "in the know" about the business.

I like RVD and I like how hot the crowd is for him against Kane, but I would have preferred to see Kane vs. Shane at Summer Slam rather than Rob.

If the booking is logical, whomever Kane faces at the PPV is going to be killed in as brutal a fashion as possible to put Kane in line for a world title shot. I think Shane could pull that off and make what should be, on paper, a shit match into something memorable and entertaining.

I don't see how Shane could pull off any high risk suicidal moves against Eric and have the same crowd reaction than if it were Kane.

You guys don't get it.

THIS IS SHANE MCMAHON vs. ERIC BISCHOFF!!

It's like WWE vs. WCW all over again! Shane is a MCMAHON. Eric is a BISCHOFF!! They HATE each other... LEGIT!!! Monday Night Wars... AAAANYONE!??? Imagine this... It's 1998, and you have Bischoff and a McMahon in the ring. THAT'S AMAZING!!! Now, it's 5 years later and WCW has been dead for 2 years and Bischoff is a WWE employee and the McMahon is Shane!!! OOOOOH MAAAH GAAAAWD! That's AWESOME! AAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWSUUUUMMMM!!!

Besides, we all know how this match will go down...

*Bischoff Hires Goons... most likely Stevie Richards...*

*Shane vs. Goon*

*Bischoff gets involved*

*Shane takes goon out, has Bisch all to himself*

*Another goon comes out*

*Shane takes that goon out*

*Shane does ccccrrraaaazzzaaaay bump*

*Shane pins bisch*

*Kane comes out for revenge*

RRR: I know this makes another good point for Pride/UFC vs. WWE, but this feud might be somewhat interesting if we knew this match had these two actually trying to beat the shit out of each other for real.

Hey, it worked so well for Russo in WCW, they might as well try it here...

We can all just hope it's quick.

Shane taking big bumps makes everyone else look shitty. Shane doing SSP's and Van Terminators made people look shitty.

Shane should either wrestle or not wrestle.

And he can't wrestle.

So he shouldn't wrestle.

Shane and his sick bumps, that's the only reason people love this guy.Nothing more nothing less. Want to see sick bumps go watch those ECW wannabes XPW, they got sick stupid bumps without the wrestling and they do them every week instead of Shane's sick bump of the year.

It is not like Shane McMahon is the only employee in WWE that is willing to take a sick bump. I really don't give a flying fuck if Shane take's a 30 foot drop onto an inflated air mat and then he wants to call himself hardcore. He is a spotlight hog mcmahon and he is going to be oinking his way to another victory at Summerslam in a match that has no fucking reason to be on a ppv.
