On the topic of uber CAW's...I know somehow my Jindrak and Paul London CAW's became tag team champions...hell they weren't even a tag team. Just randomly put together and actually won them. I don't see how though...seeing as how when I decided to lay one of their matches it was fuckign hard as hell...going up against people like Taker and stuff...but it's just a random luck of the draw thing with simming matches.

You'll need to put some actual tag teams into Season mode or you'll get makeshift tag teams like in WWE sometimes (Booker T and RVD, for example).

Speaking of not liking your Raven's appearance, if you still want one, go here and look at the Ravens done by a guy called Born2Box. They're really good. He has some just about perfect Hogans and Jeff Hardys you can see there as well.

The more seasons you go through, the pairings of tag teams and title changes get weirder.

 

My Bret Hart CAW has been having one hell of a feud with Shawn Michaels in the background of me building up Scott Steiner. The world title has been changing hands almost constantly, though I don't think that Shawn should be good enough to beat my Bret.... ah well... but then again Dave Hebner *is* the ref in the game.

I'm playing season mode for Benoit on Raw. Over on Smackdown, at Armageddon, there was a HIAC between Jericho (WWE Champ), Taker, Angle, Rey, RVD, and Ultimo Dragon (who has like 12 SP, so why the game chose him...). Anyway, I decided to jump in and play as RVD to see if I could get the belt on him. So about a minute in, Rey and I fight to the roof of the sell. I tried to knock him off, but did RVD's spin kick/leg sweep thing and ended up going off the cell with him. All of a sudden, Ultimo, of all people, runs out of the cell and rolls me up with la magistral and GETS THE THREE!

 

So Ultimo's the new WWE Champ.

That said, HCTP has run fine on my machine. I don't even get this "wierd noise" that I see people talking about...

This "weird noise" is something you get a few months after you dropped your PS2. If you don't have a warranty, you're fucked.

I think im experiencing that same problem. It'll make a weird noise if one of my CD's are scratched and it won't play. Is there anyway of editing Superstar wrestlers attires?

Is there anyway of editing Superstar wrestlers attires?

Unfortunately not. Yukes is behind the times, still. I wish they would include the attire editing feature in the next Smackdown game, but they probably won't knowing them.

However, I like that you can edit the Superstars' movesets. I gave Goldberg and O.G. Undertaker the "Rock Angry" as a finisher, since I hate them both so much. I also updated some of the other wrestlers' finishers, especially those who had the same finisher for both options.

That's a Japanese guy whose CAWs are the best for every character he does....

I knocked his Dynamite Kid CAW earlier, but I'll be damned if some of the other Puroresu guys from that site aren't spot on. I made his Mitsuharu Misawa, Toshiaki Kawada, Kenta Kobashi, Keiji Muto, Jun Akiyama & Masahiro Chono. All six of those guys have their moves as presets in the game, so that part was easy. The only thing on the formulas that you might not be able to follow (like design signs) he has pictures showing what goes where. Really well layed out...and I don't speak a lick of Japanese.

 

I did change the Jun Akiyama & Kenta Kobashi outfits a little. I prefer Kobashi in his orange outfit, and Akiyama with dark hair and his blue outfit.

I want to make Vader, Terry Funk & Raven next. I've had a few different Raven's in the past, but I've never kept them for whatever reason. I've held off on Terry Funk because I don't think there is a Spinning Toe Hold in the game. As for Vader, I can't get his mask right. I don't want an old school Vader, and I didn't really want to make him without his mask, but it looks like that's what I'll have to do. At least his movelist is one of the premades. Of all the CAWs I currently have on my memory card, only Randy Savage didn't have a premade moveset.

 

I'll probably break down and make Low Ki, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Spanky, American Dragon & Paul London before too long. I'd like some more legends too like Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, Dusty Rhodes, Greg Valentine, Rick Martel, etc.

Lately my game seems to have loading problems. Entrances don't finsh loading and post-match segments don't start. It's been getting more frequent recently. Does this sound like a game glitch or a problem with my PS2? I've considered my console being the problem because I've had it since the first week the system was released, but I don't know the average lifespan of a PS2.

There is. It's called Spinning Toe Hold, and it's finisher only.

Well, I saw that Vader earlier today. The mask is all wrong and the shape of the other Vader looks better. So if I used the formula for the other Vader but put the clothes from the new Vader on, it might be OK. I think I'll give that a whirl.
