This game rocks! Edit: Well, that was anti-climactic. I got a steel cage match from the wheel against Nash. I basically kicked him once and escaped the cage. I think it took longer to load the match than to play the match itself. Thats awesome just because I can see Nash going "Oh fuck it, I'll let him have it, I can't climb the god damn thing anyways *flips hair* "

Seriously, he got up, walked over to the cage and just watched me. I had just got above rope level at that point. Forgot to mention that this RAW was in Las Vegas, obviously.

Anakin Flair Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 In my season, I teamed w/ Vince untill I won he belt, at which time he deemed me unworthy. His new pick? Hass. I then proceded to kick his ass, and he was carried out on a stretcher. the Next wekk, he comes out in a wheelchair and does the whole HBK thing, that /Shawn did in his feud w/ Trips. Oh, and I had a mini-feud w/ Cena involving cars and a forklift. Took me 30 min to beat him in a last man standing match.

The second is Chris Jericho. Fucker takes his time with every damned move. Although I guess that's his cockiness showing. Season mode rules beyond all.
Guest Ray Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 So who's been your toughest opponents so far? I'm playing as Benoit, and Kurt Angle counters *EVERYTHING* I do. Undertaker is also hard to beat. He doesn't counter as much, but it takes a lot of offense to put him down, and HIS offense is so damn powerful, if you let him get a lot in you're screwed. Same with Lesnar.

Every time I faced them (about 4 times) they systematically broke you down. Angle and his Angle Lock would destory your legs and Benoit's Crossface took care of the Head/Back area. Once the match went awhile you would have to tap out from one of those holds. They just won't die either, They kick out of everything. Out of the 4 times I faced them I only won once. After giving Benoit 3 straight shining wizards to finally win the SD Tag Belts. This game is a lot more challenging then SYM ever was.

Clothsline, ribbreaker, knee to gut, kick, F5, pin. I guess thats what I get for no points spent, and Smackdown difficulty

Oh, and does anybody know a powerfull, basic move to destroy an opponents arms? I needs to wear the arm and head down for the crossface, and while I got the head down, the arms take FOREVER. Odly enouhg, I had the same problem with the legs when I was using hte Figure 4 as a finisher.

Lightning Flik Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Something else you might want to do is turn the Smackdown special speed DOWN. It's got three settings of Normal, Fast, Fastest. When you play the game and without modifying options, it begins with the settings on Fast. Turn it to normal, and if you get the head or a body part into the red, they will submit (assuming you've got a high submission rating).

The hours just passed me by playing this without me realising...hell, I was supposed to go into school for a couple of hours in the afternoon, but totally missed the time. Rey Rey is awesome, Goldberg too...I love the way Taker sells certain punches by shaking it off and raising his fists. The half boston version WGTT use is a cool move. I marked out for the Benoit bomb, Piper's thumbs to the eye, a slinghot through the elimination chamber glass...awesome stuff. So far the only bad thing I've seen is Cena's entrance. What's up with the dance thing he does in the ring?

I'm actually liking a lot. Still prefer No Mercy, but this one beats out RAW 2 and Wrestlemania XIX easily. Just because the season mode makes sense (if only because so much McMahon's, so much McMahon-O-Mania that must be killed). Depends on which character you speak of. Currently working on building up Victor Zoukis (whose finishers escape me) and I happened to forget my fourth person's name and move, but for Lightning Flik he's got Chick Kick as primary. Edward James has Extreme Twist of Fate as his primary. Surprisingly, both are quite good at kicking people's asses. Just need to build them up more to win a lot more games. Oh, and Austin's a fucking bitch that must die. Same with Triple H, and oh yes, Rock. Went to RAW to try out my luck there, and those four bastards just lay waste to me. Fucking bastards.
Guest Random Hero Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 You lot are easily pleased. It's not a patch on No Mercy, Wrestlemania 2000 or even WCWNWO Revenge. It's fun for a while, until you realise that it's just another shitty smackdown game with some new features. Once you've played all the new characters and tried the new match types, you may as well be playing Smackdown 4 again. I've had it for 1 day and I'm already sick of it.
