Hey pinjockey, I laughed.

I too have the feeling that Brock is not the Golden Boy anymore. The way he lost at Summerslam made me suspicious. The way he lost tonight has assured me of it. And to think he was on the verge of something great - he was a better monster than Kane. I kinda feel sorry for him but I kinda don't at the same time.

I feel sorry for him because they are giving him no character. He is either "Brock smash" (heel) or shaking hands with crew guys like any typical 80s babyface. He is going to regress in the fans view if he doesn't get some reason to exist soon.

He is going to turn into Lex Luger if his progression continues like this:

Pre-SurSer 2002: Brock Smash

Heyman turns on him

SurSer-Veng : Hey Kurt buddy how ya doin. Hey joe the lighting guy, how are your kids.

Angle beats him

Vengeance- present: Brock smash

Brock, Albert, and Rhyno?

THE BAR?!

Oh daddy. Daddy likes.

That does have a nice ring to it! :P

You have to account for Gerwitz stupidity though. He would want Funaki in the group. Then have Cole go on endlessly about how BARF is funny.

"Get it Tazz they are called BARF. Brock, Albert, Rhyno, and Funaki spells BARF. HAHAHAHA."

"Yeah, funny Cole."

"BARF. Thats what their names spell. BARF like vomit."

So, everyone is off the screwed up Angle face turn and now on the screwed up Brock heel turn.

It doesn't seem like they know how to turn wrestlers on Smackdown well, least we forget the whole ordeal with Eddy. Im assuming Taker just turned heel as well?

Sounds like a good show though, although like has been said Im not to sure why SPWGTT got shafted to Velocity again. Smackdown actually has some tag teams too (Gunn/Noble, APA, FBI, Bashams, Rey/Kidman) compared to RAW.

I doubt Taker has turned heel, he didn't do anything remotely heelish. Taker just bagged Brock for tapping, and then set up a face/face match next week between himself and Angle.

This one made me bust all kinds of guts I didn't even know I had. Very good.

I'll say this: Next week, 'Taker better be tapping like an electrified tapping machine on the tappingest day of his life.

Or else. ::Shakes fist:: You hear me, 'Taker? You'd best be "taking" the worst beating of your life next week!

El Paso's own Eddie Guerrero arrives to the arena in his car. Eddie walks to the ring through the crowd. Eddie gets on the mic. Eddie says this is where it all started. Eddie says he is at home. HUGE ovation. Eddie tells a story of when his grandmother first came to El Paso and cheated on her citizenship test. Eddie is interupted by John Cena coming to the ring. Cena does his usual rhymes saying Eddie does not belong here. Cena says Eddie has the US Title but he's not even an US citizen. Cena calls Eddie a wet back and says he's going to stick his foot up his ass. Eddie says Cena is pretty good for a white boy. Eddie says he is lying, that sucked. Eddie says Cena should not talk about his people where there are 12,000 of them there. Cena wants a shot at the US title. Eddie grants his wish and the match is on tonight. Cena says after he takes Eddie's title he will take his sister also. Eddie responds with an attack on Cena and clotheslines him out of the ring. As Cena is walking to the back Eddie rubs it in by doing a rhyme of his own.

Yes! This can be a very good feud if the WWE lets these guys do what they do best, and that's entertain. There can be a lot of interesting aspects to it (i.e. who would become the bigger tweener). Eddie is a fantastic worker and since Cena has worked with Benoit heavily (in House Show tours and on tv), it's only fitting that they have Cena work with Eddie to hone his in-ring skills after coming off a big win by defeating Undertaker. Hopefully the feud lasts until the Smackdown pay per view (Or perhaps even Survivor Series). Either way this will bode well for Smackdown t.v.

I'm really close to finally quitting on this promotion. Taker's main event push might clinch it.

I don't think he'll get the belt either......but it's still stupid to job Brock to him.

WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST MAKE BIG SHOW JOB?!?!!?

Posted

You know, I've been thinking about this. I fear Big Show didn't job because he'll be the next contender to Angle, this after Lesnar gets involved in the match next week, leading to Taker/Lesnar.

maybe they should trade Taker for RVD... then a heel RVD can fued with Angle culminating in a ladder match (remembers angle's moonsault and marks out) and Kane can retire taker.

Smark Axiom #420: RVD will never be turned heel, because the audience will never accept him as a heel. He came into WW_ as a heel and the crowds collectively willed him into facedom.

Learn it. Live it. Love it.

Back on topic: this whole "keep 'Taker strong for intermittent title shots" is wearing paper thin. His character is played, his matches are weak, and his shelf life expired the day they relocated Death Valley to Texas.

Jobbing Lesnar to him has angered me to no end. The only salvagable ending to this farce is Angle standing over 'Taker wrenching his ankle into a clean submission next week… which of course ensures that it will never happen. Get ready for 'Taker/Lesnar feud v2.0, sans Sara the horse-faced mule.

Is this the week where they have an hour and a half Smackdown? It seems pretty short to me. I think there are only 4 matches that has been reported.

September 11th is the 90 minutes SD.

I am worried that this is leading to Taker getting title in the near future. To give him "one more run at the top." When in reality he will probably hang around for a few more years after dropping the belt, rendering the run pointless.

I can't believe this line up is being praised

Where's Matt Hardy?

He suffered a concussion last week against Rey and was taken off the card as a precaution.

The worst part about Takers program with Angle? It's going to last 2 months since Raw has the next PPV. I'm not feeling it.

How soon before Vince gets himself involved in the feud?

Has Zach Gowen wrestled at any house shows?

I don't really think this UT thing is anything to get ultra worried about. Anyone who thinks he will tap like a bitch to Angle has obviously never seen a UT match. Let's not forget that UT has done his share of jobbing lately. It'll most likely end in a Brock run in of some sort.
