Ultimo Dugas 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 Wow SmackDown looks really horrible this week. We've seen Beniot/A-Train about a million times, and the main event looks like shit. Unless they give Eddie/Cena and Rey/Nunzio a lot of time this show is going to suck hard.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 I guess the rumor saying that Taker would be main eventing soon was true afterall.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 4 matches only? Oh, that's not good.

Ultimo Dugas 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 I just wonder what they could possibly fill the rest of the time with. I mean theres gonna have to be an absurd amount of angles this week.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 4 matches and 2 of them I'll ignore. I'm just tired of being forced to watch Albert and Big Show every week.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 Compared to your average smackdown card, this show looks to be pretty shitty. However, despite the fact that I wish there were more matches on the show, I like what's on there. Rey vs. Nunzio will be good. Cena vs. Eddie features 2 of my favorite wrestlers in a match I've been wanting to see for a long time, with a possibility of Cena finally getting some gold. I actually have been enjoying A-Train's work as of late and his previous matches with Benoit were pretty good by hoss standards. As for the main event, Brock has been one of the few people able to get good matches out of Taker and Big Show in recent times, so it could be OK, although I'm not expecting much. The thing that pisses me off most is that this show lacks Mattitude, actually. I'll continue to be optimistic, but with the pre-emptions, less than stellar (compared to most) card, and dearth of matches, this will probably be one of the lowest rated Smackdowns of the year. Guest Goodear Report post Posted August 27, 2003 We go through this every week, "Oh the show looks horrible BLEH~!" and then it turns out perfectly fine. Be at peace you all...

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 Yeah, that looked pretty sloppy. I was watching the show with my cousin (who is known here as The Bad Guy) and he said something along the lines of, "Damn, it looked like he almost broke his neck there!" I hadn't heard about the concussion til now though. At least he probably won't be out too long.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 That did look pretty bad. Spiked right on his poor noggin.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2003 Without trying to spoil.. but I'll use the tag just incase, Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Eddie vs Cena and the 3 Way ME take up over 30 minutes of wrestling time, says the WO spoilers . Hence just 4 matches.. I guess.

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted August 28, 2003 I believe Smackdown's only 1 and a half hours this week. That's probably why we have less matches than usual.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2003 They're propably going shorter because they have the next two months to build angles. They can devote more time to crap and starting stuff.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2003 It's the 9/11 show that's 30 minutes shorter.
