Recommended Posts

For those who get DirecTV, the TNA show on Wednesday will be a regular price show called Best of TNA World title matches, featuring Jarrett vs. Styles, Jarrett vs. Raven, Jarrett vs. Raven vs. Styles and AMW vs. Triple X in the cage match. For those who get In Demand, it'll be the one cent show with Sting & Jarrett vs. Sean Waltman & Styles, Raven vs. Jarrett, Raven vs. Douglas with an announcement (no doubt of a hair vs. hair match coming in the next few weeks), announcement of Roddy Piper coming (9/17), Styles vs. Brown cage match, Raven vs. Styles vs. Jarrett NWA title and Triple X vs. AMW cage match. The one cent deal is also available in Canada on Belle Express Vue and VC-Canada.

I was hoping to get to see some X division stuff, but I can't complain about 1 cent for the cage match.

I've never seen TNA before (of course will be ordering the 1c PPV to check it out) so for you TNA vets I was wondering what you would rate the matches that are on the show:

The Ultimate X match

Sting & Jarrett / Syxx-Pac & Styles

Raven/Jarrett (World Title Match)

Styles/D-Lo (World Title match in a cage)

Raven/Styles/Jarrett (Styles world title win)

Triple X / America's Most Wanted (mindblowing steel cage match for the Tag Team titles)

The worst match on there is Sting/Jarrett v. Waltman/Styles, which I think was ***.

Didn't see Ultimate X but i hear good things despite a flaw that occured once or twice.

Thank God I don't have 4 of these matches, otherwise I'd probably pass on watching.

But its FREE almost. $0.01 lol. Thats saying its free but you cant have free stuff on PAY per view.

I wonder if cable companies will even bother charging a penny.

The Ultimate X match

I'd say ***, maybe ***1/4. Definitely innovative, but the match lacked a lot, and *** might be overrating it.

Sting & Jarrett / Syxx-Pac & Styles

Ugh, I hated this match. **, **1/2 tops.

Raven/Jarrett (World Title Match)

****, easily. If not for the finish, ****1/2. The finish COMPLETELY ruined the match for me, as it made NO FUCKING SENSE for Jarrett to beat Raven after being MURDERED by Team ECW.

Styles/D-Lo (World Title match in a cage)

***. Styles and D'Lo work pretty well together, but I think this was one of their weaker matches.

Raven/Styles/Jarrett (Styles world title win)

***1/4. Jarrett dragged down what had the potential to be a great match simply be being in it. I hate Jarrett, I really do. Boring ringwork, boring micwork, and he's treated like Jesus because he's the boss's son. And he's not as over as half of the roster, yet he's pushed better than all of them. Hence the "Triple J" chants, though Jarrett at least ATTEMPTS to put over other talent by selling his ass off.

Triple X / America's Most Wanted (mindblowing steel cage match for the Tag Team titles)

****1/2. Harris and Storm will probably never, EVER be able to pull of a classic like this again. Elix's bumping, Daniels' selling, and the superb brawling of AMW made this a keeper. If you buy the PPV, buy it for this match alone.

The Ultimate X match

I give it about **. Sloppy work and the belt fell. Twice.

Sting/Jarrett v. Styles/Syxx-Pac

**1/2. Fun tag team formula and it was great seeing Sting again.

Raven/Jarrett (World Title Match)

***1/4. It was going along just fine until the STUPID STUPID STUPID overbooking kicked in.

Styles/D-Lo (World Title match in a cage)

**. AJ v. D-Lo was always overrated and this was just a rushed match with a stupid ending.

Raven/Styles/Jarrett (Styles world title win)

***3/4. Awesome match and Jarrett FINALLY loses.

Triple X / America's Most Wanted (mindblowing steel cage match for the Tag Team titles)

****1/4- Oh yea- this match OWNS.

When is this 1 cent PPV?

This Wednesday and then all day on 9/11

This plus last weeks show makes a great 10 bucks spent, I'm so happy I got my VCR hooked up now.

That's your cable company then mole.

The show is only one cent- that's what TNA has priced it at

It was Cablevision, my sisters. She made me give her $15 more for WM. I was pissed off.

1 cent folks. Come see what all the hype is about. It's one penny, its as close to free as your gonna get. If you've seen everything on it already then order it anyway, tape it and show it to your friends. This Wednesday, and all week long on In Demand 1 if you have digital cable.

The Ultimate X match

This was a fun and unique match. A ladder match without ladders. Yes the belt fell a couple times, who cares. For all we know they'll edit it out since I can't see them showing all these matches in complete (although maybe). About ***

Sting & Jarrett / Syxx-Pac & Styles

Like Sting? Haven't seen him since WCW? Check him out here. Oh check out Sean Waltman obviously fucked up beyond belief in what might be his final appearence ever! A fun tag team match. ***

Raven/Jarrett (World Title Match)

The best hyped match in TNA history. It all reached a fever pitch in TNA's feud of the year. Controversial finish too. ****

Styles/D-Lo (World Title match in a cage)

Ok, this match is kinda hard to justify inclusion. They've had better, although there were a couple decent spots I suppose. **

Raven/Styles/Jarrett (Styles world title win)

Excellent triple threat match. Its one of those 3 ways that's booked right to keep everyone involved. Crowd absolutely errupts in joy when the heel Styles defeats Jarret. ****1/4

Triple X / America's Most Wanted (mindblowing steel cage match for the Tag Team titles)

Possibly the match of the year. 30 minutes of old school style tag team cage goodness. Just watch it, there's no way you won't get into it. Some great spots too. ****1/2

The matches are clipped, right? Because their website says "footage from ____". That, and with the 2-hour time, means the matches won't be the uncut.

But still, for $.01, that's not a problem.

Its unclear. They've hyped that the tag team cage match and Jarret/Raven will be shown in full. So possibly the others will be clipped. Who knows. Its one cent, just buy it.

I just went to order it, and my cable company's still claiming it's $9.95....

Very odd. Do you have digital? Because my onscreen says $0.01. My advice is call up the cable company and ask about the 1 cent promotion, if they dont know about it, email TNA at their website (they respond real quick Ive emailed them before), and let them know what's up so they can take care of it!

Ah,DirectTV is getting ripped off in a way because we dont get the 1 Cent show, but yeah it will be out on DVD, for 2 the price (Or more) and almost nothing extra. I do really wanna see the XXX/AMW cage match though, I have never seen it and I just hope its not clipped on DirectTVs DVD preview. Oh yeah, and if the matches are clipped on the DVD, thats EXTREMELY,let me repeat, EXTREMELY stupid.

I'm starting to sound like I work for TNA here, but I stress (with the exception of Direct TV) the show is supposed to be 1 cent! That is what TNA has intended, any discrepency is the fault of the cable company. If you have onscreen, check it out before hand to confirm the price. If there's a problem, call the cable company, and if that doesn't work email TNA, they will email you back and Im sure they will take care of it.
