BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2003 This week's edition of Raw did a 3.6 cable rating, with a 5.4 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. The show did hours of 3.5 and 3.8. That is way down from last week's 4.3 and would seem to indicate that Monday Night Football, which did a 13.0 broadcast rating, siphoned off some of WWE's audience. 1wrestling.com
Guest Choken One Report post Posted September 9, 2003 Damn that RVD.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2003 Well it looks like Monday Night Football is the closest thing to competition for WWE right now. Hopefully that means.......oh who am I kidding it won't mean crap. Vince will blame it on everyone and everything but the real problem.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2003 I think everybody tuned out after the Kane match. I didn't even watch that.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted September 9, 2003 Yeah, that RVD Vs. Kane match was junk. If I had any self control, I might have changed the channel...or put in a DVD. I had the option to watch either the Rey Misterio 619 DVD or the Shawn Michaels from the Vault DVD. I still watched Raw...and recorded it. I don't know what my problem is. I still like to watch it, if for no other reason so that I will know what people are talking about when they make references to the show. I guess the false hope of "it can't get worse" or "it has to get better" are still there...but they aren't reality. I'm glad that the ratings dropped. The show was bad. Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2003 Blame RVD. He coludn't draw in the viewers to start the show. Damn that RVD.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2003 MNF did get a rating increase of 4% from last year. Britney Spears doing the theme song equals ratings people.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted September 9, 2003 As reported earlier, RAW did a 3.6 rating this week, down sharply from a 4.3 last week. The show opened with a 3.3 rating for the Kane/RVD cage match and grew steadily up until the the six man tag match in the second hour. The Al Snow/Coach/JR/Lawler segment in the second hour drew a show low 3.4. The Steve Austin State of RAW Address did a 4.2 rating, outdrawing the overrun featuring Evolution's beating of Goldberg. That segment did a 4.1.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted September 9, 2003 Everyone was talking about the Buccaneers in the offseason and the rematch of last year's NFC Championship game received alot of hype. I don't see why anyone would be surprised about RAW losing viewers this week.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted September 9, 2003 Britney did the pregame song? No Hank? They tried replacing Hank a few years ago, but ABC was bombarded with angery fans and his absense lasted 2 weeks, if I recall correctly...
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2003 The Al Snow/Coach/JR/Lawler segment in the second hour drew a show low 3.4. Wow! There ya go. Nobody wants to see this!
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2003 Well for one week at least, we learned that good wrestling=ratings Smackdown went up against the NFL and the rating was above the season average, while Raw on the other hand got crushed.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Did anyone expect Raw to do better or even the same rating, against the FIRST MNF of the year which happened to be a rematch of the NFC Championship game? Umm, no. Next week it will be just as bad. The Cowboys game was Fox's highest rated show ever, since everyone tuned in to see Parcells/Cowboys fail like the chumps they are. Should happen again for a team that has NO FUCKING BUSINESS being on MNF.

Hank sang and shouted as Brit posed and danced and did soundbytes Well it was one of those cut and paste duet deals. Raw does not need 2 GMs for the show, Austin is the main draw so Eric Bishoff needs to disappear to Heat along with Al & Coach to do their own thing.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Whoopdie fuck. Raw deserves a 0.6 at most not a 3.6 so frankly this shows what fucking morons Nielson families or the TV-watching public in general is. Britney did the pregame song? No Hank? They tried replacing Hank a few years ago, but ABC was bombarded with angery fans and his absense lasted 2 weeks, if I recall correctly... They did a deut... Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Notice how the ratings drop since Kane was in the START off the show rather than the usual end where the ratings go up. More evidence that nobody gives a flying fuck about Goldberg / HHH as much as WWE thinks we do.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Raw was fucked up more ways then one for me. During commercials they keep running adds saying Smackdown! was coming here (Albany, NY) October 26th. But now 1Wrestling is saying it's actually Albany, GA and the show might get canceled anyway due to Triple H's bachelor party. I checked wwe.com and they have nothing listed after the 20th of October. This company has problems.
humongous2002 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, i guess that Kane is only watchable when he sticks jumper cables on someone's testicles instead of his non-existent wrestling skills, also about the cage match, what the FUCK is WWE thinking in booking a match without giving RVD any type of offense, no wonder people changed the channel including me. Keep on burying your promising marketable young stars and RAW will be lucky to get a 0.1 in the ratings.
