Along with what Mole said, it was mentioned in a few interviews that Alyson didn't want to sing any lines at all in OMWF, but she eventually gave in and did those few.

 

And speaking of her, she and Alexis got married this past weekend. Congrats to them. She has also signed on for an NBC sitcom due next fall. Let's hope that actually sees its way onto the schedule, unlike Nick Brendon's Fox comedy.

I can't say I'll complain about the partial Marsters nudity next week *grin* but it does look like a good episode.

 

Anyone spot the Lucha in tonight's ep? He was in one scene about four times, just walking around in the background (it's like "Where's Waldo," except it's "Spot the Lucha").

 

Also, the whole eating the werewolf for dinner thing was quite disturbing, but it reminded me of a short story I had to read back in high school, but for the life of me I can't remember what that story was.

Tonight's episode was alright, but nothing too special. I think basically they are setting up the love story with the chick and Angel.

 

Next week looks gansta though. Any Spike episode is fine by me.

Tonight's episode: meh. They did the werewolf thing ad nauseum with Oz, and certainly didn't add anything new or interesting with the generic blond lycanthrope here tonight. Angel's "solution" to getting out of the restaurant was weak. I don't know if he's supposed to be getting soft or corrupted or what, but the old Angel would've burned the place to the fucking ground, not just mosey on out and leave the cannibals in peace.

 

Furthermore, Spike had about five or six lines in the entire show, and the whole "disappearing to Hell" thing with him is getting pretty old, pretty fast. They better do something to mix up the plot next week. And where the FUCK was Harmony? She MADE the last two episodes, and she was completely absent tonight. Also, where was the new Lilah-wannabe chick? Way to Russo off that plot thread, guys. Really crappy show overall.

I believe Mercedes McNab only signed on for six episodes, so she won't be around much. I also heard the same is true for the Eve actress.

Eve is hot. She should be in more episodes. I liked the warewolf girl. I wouldn't mind seeing her again (it would be cool if in 4 weeks, she has a cameo in the episode where she comes to W&H and Angel takes her down to her cage ... like what Oz in Buffy). I don't think she'll end up being an important character on the show, but she's not dead and she's not a normal human anymore... so that pretty much guarantees she'll be back (or at least mentioned).

The Good..

 

Blondie. Yeah, horrible acting and stuff, but some really, really, nice eye candy... good lord some very nice eye candy. Boy was it cold in one scene I'd tap it.

Fred talking to Blondie about her 5 year stay, I liked it cause I was thinkin about it at the same time. That was pretty funny as well, cause it's so over-the-top, as well as "Angel with a soul" deal. But then she didn't continue along the same thought-process of her blocking herself away from the world, and how that only hurt her.. and how she knew what isolation was like.

 

Spike's "history" with Wes. They should have him try that with everyone and have everyone call his bullshit.

 

The Doctor-dude... that doctor-dude is the doctor-dude on Star Trek: Enterprise!! YEAH! DADDY! I was comparing Buffy with Star Trek like a week or two ago! YEAH! I don't watch Enterprise so I didn't really MARK OUT like I should have, but I still kinda did!! YEAH! I'm kinda sad to see him go. And that "Oh, he took the juice" bit, fuck that. I ain't havin that. They shouldn't mess with Lornes readings; they did last year and it sucked. Fuck Cordy.

 

The Bad

 

This doesn't feel like Angel anymore. The end, with the fucking david gray-esque music (or it was, infact, david gray) had a whole After-School Special feel to it that made me want to puke. I thought it might be a dream, or just fucking with us, and the real ended had the warewolf fucking everything up proper, but it was just fucking hugs and chinese food... what the fuck? There's not really enough pressure on the season, I miss the big bads. I miss the giganto story-arcs. This is so fucking season one, and I already seen Season 1... Season 5 of Buffy had all the kinks worked out, all the characters established, and then played with it. Now we're getting all this new shit. Fuck that shit.

Yeah, I didn't care for the music bit at the end. Sure, Joss did that a few times back in the early Buffy days, but this just didn't work like those did.

I thought the episode was okay. These early season episodes are sometimes a little weak.

 

But next week looks messed up...graphic images and partial nudity??? Wow that's a first for Whedon shows.
