The dialogue between Connor and Angel is absolutely amazing. I meant to do a review on that eps, but I kinda got lazy and opted not to. I think everyone was in shock at the new direction the show was taking, rather than seeing how fitting the finish was to the Connor Saga.

I think I'd be pissed if they ended the series with Angel becoming human and then returning to a vampire...especially since that's already happened in the episode "I Will Remember You"

I always thought Buffy should have ended the way Normal Again was, and this show should end with Angel getting redemption, having a good voice over speech, walking down the streets of LA and then getting attacked by a vamp when the speech is over and end with him drinking from the vamp, knowing he will become Angelus again.

That episode RAWKED on so many levels it wasn't even funny....and no one noticed.

Word. I found that to be a moving episode.

it's funny seeing Angel's obvious jealousy of Spike...Wasjust thinking about Spike's transformation over the last few years and it's quite ipressive.

Like in season 5 when he's being tortured mercilessly by Glory but still doesn't tell her Dawn's the key. That's quite an impressive feat, especially for a soulless vampire. I mean Angel was saddled with a soul, but one it's gone he's right back to evil old Angelus...whereas Spike was doing good even without a soul.

That was because he was in love with Buffy, and would do anything for her, even protect Dawn. Plus, I think he genuinley cared for Dawn somewhat.

I contend that Spike getting tortured by Glory is more touching/heroic than Spike sacrificing himself to save the world in Season 7.

dunno about Ripper, but I do, so I love the idea. If I ever had a show and it was this popular, I'd end it on the most downbeat depressing miserable unhappy note I could possibly think of. And I wouldn't have a spin-off that shows what happens, I'd just end the show and say 'fuck you, the show ended unhappily, deal with it!'

 

 

btw, whoever said it, if Buffy ended like 'Normal Again', then how would Angel even exist?

Oh sweet papadaddy, just got finished watching the eps. where Darla turns back into a vamp by Dru... that eps. is all about the ladies.

 

Let's see.

 

-Kate > The tail end of her run, lookin fine.

-Darla > Totally blazing a path for Lilah to follow

-Lilah > When she was coming into her foxy days

-Cordy > Hair cut, but still good lookin

 

.... seriously, this has to be the hottest cast of lady characters in one season/show.

 

Darla looks smokin throughout, and then she turns into a vampire and it's all downhill from there...

 

Dru is hilarious, just fucking fabulous. Her and Darla made one sweetass team... what with darla bringing the foxy and dru bringing the crazy.

 

Angel at the end... I remember watching it at the time and I was just freaked out... so cold, so cold.

 

That whole eps. aside from the Dru/Darla vamp talkin focusin shittin fuckin crap, was awesome.

 

Oh, and Buffy is starting re-runs of Season 5 again soon... *giggles like school girl*

I don't think Angel would turn into Angelus again if he became human and was then turned again. He would be evil, but he wouldn't be Angelus. Angel becoming human would destroy the soul of Angelus.

 

Anyway, Spike is a really awesome character. The thing I like most is that his demonic soul and human soul are in perfect harmony. They both basically want the same things (only the demon has no morals). Hell, the demon quested for his human soul. Spike also doesn't have the "one moment of true happiness" catch.

I don't know about that. Angelus is the vampire form of Liam. Angel is the vampire with a soul form of Angelus. If Angel turns human, he's back to being Liam... right?
