Hulk Hogan meets with the Jarretts

From the "take this for what it's worth" dept., Hulk Hogan was on The Bubba The Love Sponge radio show this morning. He said that he met with the Jarretts two days ago to talk about possibly working with NWA TNA but didn't give any more details than that. Hogan is also in discussions to work for New Japan next month. ... Thanks to Brian Fritz for his help with this story.

At least Russo would fight for guys like AJ not jobbing to Hogan. And ironic that the Hogan/Russo BATB incident centered around Hogan not wanting to job to Jarrett.

Yes. While they might not like each other, they should be able to suck it up for a while. Russo even said the one man in the wrestling business he can't stand is Goldberg. And that says alot concerning some of the people Russo has problems with.

 

And I'm with Dames on this one. I don't like the idea of Hogan coming back, but it would most likely give TNA some more attention. Short-term could be a wild ride, but this could pay off long-term.

This would be huge for TNA if they got Hogan. He would add alot of buyrates and help the promotion in the media's eye, because everyone knows the name Hogan. He would be a huge asset to TNA.

Yay, another past-his-prime old fart who defends tradition against Russo besides Dusty Rhodes and Roddy Piper. Come to think of it, TNA has been getting a lot of old farts in the past year: Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Morton, Larry Zbysko, Shane Douglas, Roddy Piper, Terry Taylor, The Road Warriors, and Vader(yeah, even him, because he sucked the last time I saw him). Now Hogan's going to join the list unfortunately.

Indeed I did. That whole segment with everyone switching off with quick tags to keep him off his game, coupled with him finally falling to TWO guys instead of one, was incredibly put together.

Hogan is off course the biggest free agent out there physically capable...It would be a big coup for TNA but once again it would be the stigma of ANOTHER wwe "reject"...

 

TNA needs NOT to go the ECW route and pick up rejects...it cheapens them...makes them look second rate.

In regards to Credible and Douglas, all ECW did was simply push two horribly undeserving performers MILES beyond their actual level of in-ring competence.

 

Then again, like Douglas, ECW was astonishingly over-rated, so hardcore ECW marks probably still think that Shane was held down all over the place.

I don't want Hogan to go there because Hogan deserves better quite frankly. Maybe they can use Hogan as great as they used Sting! Pay $10 a week to watch AJ beat someone by interference in our main event and watch Jarrett go over someone and know we have Hogan and Sting under contract. With prices like these who wants to watch double the amount of TV for free with WWE?

Hey, I've seen those matches, and Douglas was dead last on the list of reasons why those were ****+. And of course, he had to take off and burn his bridge with WCW before the angle was even finished, as usual with him.

 

TNA should get rid of him as well as the no-talent rejects. I mean, he PUKED ON HIMSELF last week for Christ's sake!
