I have several ™'s!

You have transcranial magnetic brain stimulation? I thought you were just retarded.

Your attempt at sarcasm sucks. I am ashamed that you are a Bama fan. Why don't you go to the "plains" and suck off a cow.

Why don't you use a question mark?

It's a command not a question, dumbass.

Then don't start it with "why". If a sentence is meant to be a command, it needs to be in the "You Understood" form. It's set up like this:

Turn on the light.

I'm directing that at you, which comes before "turn". The you is understood to be there.

Oh, and how does my sarcasm suck if I'm not being sarcastic? I'm being a smartass. If I wanted to be sarcastic, I'd say you were a witty chap with a striking grasp of second grade English.

If you weren't such a dumbass you'd a realized that it was a command.

By the way, I checked, and I was right with the punctuation I used. Now please, never, and I mean never, tell anyone that you are a Bama fan again.

Actually...."Why don't you use a question mark" is a question.

Any sentence that is prefaced with "Why" is automatically a question....here is an examle:

"Why are you such a cocksmith?"

"Why are you still here?"

"Why do you feel the need to continue to post in threads where you've already lost?"

"Why do you deny your ignorance, but point out the flaws in everyone else's posts, regardless of their validity?"

There. Happy?

"Why don't you use a question mark?"

Unless, of course, you meant "Why" as in interjection, in which case, the sentence must read, "Why! Don't you use a question mark?"

Glad I could help.

Well, yeah of course you were right.

In JohnsonLand you're always right.

Dude, even if you type "Why don't you use a question mark." into Microsoft Word, it automatically gives you a grammar error and suggest that you put a question mark on the end.

You're wrong. Just admit it. Do I need to diagram the sentence for you?

Why doesn't Johnson understand our english language? Unless he's using British vocabulary where they talk backwards like Yoda.

Maybe not, but they like to re-arange words and phrases. Atleast they do on British Comedies on PBS.

This was the statement in question moron, "Why don't you go to the "plains" and suck off a cow."

And if you put it in word is says it's correct. Go fuck yourself.

If you had ever taken Grade 8 english you would know that a command can not start with "Why don't you" or any such question term.

While in the SPOKEN english language it could be considered a command, when typing it on a messageboard to be read (not spoken) it is not a command as when it's made a command it's about tone of voice. We obviously don't know what tone of voice a written word has, so therefore your usage was incorrect.

Funny, I'm English, and I've never noticed speaking backwards.

Except this one time...which I'd rather not talk about.

Anyway, what British Comedies are these?

Johnson...notice the question mark, due to the 'what' in the sentence. As an 'A' grade English student, I know sentences starting with 'what' or 'why' end with a question mark. It's REALLY basic grammar. No offense.

Indeed that is the case. A command usually has the implied subject of "you," as in, "Get me a beer." It's understood that the "you" subject is there and is being told to do something. A sentence that starts with "Why don't you... " is a suggestion, and as such, should be ended with a question mark.

I was kidding, but British people do use different words than us so maybe thats how Johnsons thinking.

Of course calling him Yoda makes more sense, but gives him credit of being a genius midget alien jedi.

Then why would Word not say it was a mistake. That's all I'm asking.

comedy gold, people. this stuff writes itself.

Something writing itself would probably have better grammar than Johnson writing.

P.S.: In the process of writing this, I caught myself writing "grammer" and "righting." I suck.
