Guest SweetNSexyDiva Report post Posted September 19, 2003 I thought it was supposed to be more of a discount clothes store, but I found everything priced pretty much the same as if I had went to the mall. I found a fantastic pair of shoes.... and I picked them up to discover they were $120. I don't understand why people would shop there, for example, for black high heel shoes for $120 instead of going to Nordstroms and paying the same amount for a bigger selection, plus name brand. Okay, so shopping is more a girl thing, but I had to rant about this. Why would I pay $40 for a pair of jeans that don't even look that great when I can just go to Old Navy or the GAP and spend the same amount for pants that do look great on my ass? Sorry, I am just mystified that a clothings store's logo would be "Name brands, small prices" when it is so far from the truth. I know... truth in advertising. the max 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 We have ROSS, which is kind of like Marshalls. I've only been in a Marshalls once, and that was to use the bathroom.
El Gigante 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 Marshalls, the only place where you can get $10 jean jackets.
Papacita 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 I will forever hate Marshalls because when I was little, my mom used to drag me in there with her every now and then when she went shopping. Wasn't like other stores, where I could go look at toys and stuff until she was ready...I actually had to stand there and watch her look at blouses and shoes and it drove me crazy...crazier than usual. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 The Marshall's near me is fairly priced, though I haven't bought anything there in a while. We also have TJ Maxx, which is in the same corporate family as Marshall's I believe. They've got good shit. In fact I need to go back to get a Nautica denim jacket I saw that was only $25. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 There was a Marshalls in the mall where I used to work, but I don't think I ever bought anything there...
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 Fuck that, MARSHALLS RAWK! Where else could I get a 80$ Kenneth Cole sweater for 30 dollars? How about the 80 Dollar Perry Ellis slacks for 19? The 50 dollar Haggars for 14? For dress clothes, nothing beats Marshalls! This 40 dollar Perry Ellis belt...9 dollars! These 100 dollar Nuns Bush shoes, 30 freakin dollars. Now I wouldn't buy jeans or T-Shirts their because the selection is shit, but I was able to build a entire summer wardrobe with less that $250. 6 pairs of pants, 8 shirts, 2 pairs of shoes. And ALL of it is name brand. Hell yeah...the Marshalls in Atlanta 0wns peoples faces or something.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 I love Marshalls. I get all my shoes there for $20-30, and brands like Puma/Addidas/NB/Simple/Airwalk. They also have great cheap clothes too. There are two within 15 minutes from my house and I always hit them up whenever I can. They also have a TJ Maxx by me, but the one by us is pretty bad. I've heard that there are alot of good TJ's, but the one by me sucks.

Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted September 19, 2003 There's a Marshalls near me but I've never actually gone in it. Probably because there's a pizza place right next to it in the mall that has horrible food that makes me sick. There IS however a TJ Maxx in the area as well and its not a half-bad store. Not something I go in regularly, but good deals when I have gone in.
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Report post Posted September 20, 2003 Maybe the Marshalls near me just sucks.
Guest stardust Report post Posted September 20, 2003 I've never been in Marshall's, actually. I've also never been in TJ Maxx, even though one just opened up here last week. I might have to go by tomorrow if I don't have to work. I agree, though, SSD. What's the point in spending around 100 bucks for something that doesn't look that great when I can get something for much less that looks much better. And as for shoes, have you ever gone to Shoe Carnival? Name brand shoes, but lower prices. And if you can grab some of their clearance stuff, aww yeah. I got a pair of Candie's from there one time that were regularly $80 for $13. They're awesome shoes, too, seeing as how they're black with a chunky heel and you can dress them up or down. And yet I still always either go bare foot or wear flip flops... hmm...
