Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted September 22, 2003 When Shane was climbing that structure so he could take his big bump, wasn't Kane down for more than 10 seconds? Also, why did Shane just jump off the thing and not even attempt to do an elbow or anything? Even if Kane didn't move he wouldn't have hit him. Why aren't more babyfaces put over as strongly in defeat as that? Why were Jim Ross and The King making out that this was such an amazing thing when Shane himself has took two bumps that were higher and more spectacluar than that? Fökai 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 When Shane was climbing that structure so he could take his big bump, wasn't Kane down for more than 10 seconds? Yes, he was. Don't know where you're going with that one. Also, why did Shane just jump off the thing and not even attempt to do an elbow or anything? Even if Kane didn't move he wouldn't have hit him. You're thinking too hard about this - this is the world of professional wrestling, where wrestlers leap from the top without a move in mind, and instead eat a big foot to the face. Why aren't more babyfaces put over as strongly in defeat as that? BECAUSE'S A MCMAHON, DAMMIT. No, seriously, because they're trying their damndest to prove Shane's "part of the boys"....which he's not. They're going the wrestler route with him, "protecting" his character so that's he able to trot out there tonight and gloat that he had Kane in the palm in his hand. Why were Jim Ross and The King making out that this was such an amazing thing when Shane himself has took two bumps that were higher and more spectacluar than that? ...most likely because the announcers are trained to wet their pants whenever Shane attempts his Bump Of The Month. Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted September 22, 2003 Yes, he was. Don't know where you're going with that one It was a Last Man Standing match. Kane was down for more than 10 seconds. Shane was standing.

Insane Bump Machine 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 Another illogical thing: When RVD put Christian on top of Jericho in the 69 position it was basically a cover by Christian. But instead of counting the pin the referee waits for RVD to do his Five Star on both of them. Christian had Jericho pinned for about 10 seconds and the referee just stood there. Who comes up with this stuff?

Or Vince McMahon, for that matter. I agree with most everyone's points regarding Shane working with talent, but at least he's not beating the top guy on the roster 1-2-3 or walking out of the ring with the world title. Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 Shane isn't all bad. I highly respect the man's courage and determination in bringing the fans memorable experiences at WWE events. Whether he should be there or not doesn't change the fact that he WILL ALWAYS BE THERE because of his last name. Fact is, out of all the McMahons, he is the most entertaining. I know there is no way in fucking hell I'd jump from the heights that crazy bastard does. UYI

rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 In Orton/HBK, why did Orton try a top-rope axe-handle on HBK when Michaels was lying on the ground? That killed the match for me...

clean rob 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 Why were Jim Ross and The King making out that this was such an amazing thing when Shane himself has took two bumps that were higher and more spectacluar than that? ...most likely because the announcers are trained to wet their pants whenever Shane attempts his Bump Of The Month. It was a big bump. JR and King were selling it as such, what else could they have done? (Shane climbs scaffolding) JR: looks like Shane's going for a big elbow drop drop off the set, just like at Backlash 3 years ago! King: Not quite as high, is it though JR? JR: Well no, I don't think it is King. And why Shane doesn't just spend this time kicking Kane in the head is beyond me. King: Hasn't Kane been prone for over 10 seconds now anyway? What's the ref doing? JR: Good point King, in fact the more I think about it the stupider it seems...oh look there he goes. (Shane flies off the top) King: Pffft. I could do that. JR: This match sucks. I'm off to watch my Best of Jamie Noble videos.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted September 22, 2003 Yeah but JR went totally over the top with "Shane will have a broken neck" and "In my 25 years....." because Shane has done at least two of these bumps previously and everybody knows about them. It would be like if Mick Foley got thrown of the Cell and JR said "BAH GOD! I've never seen anything like it!". Not on the same level of course, but you see my point. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 if there is even logic to look for here it might be this.. Perhaps the ref could not count Kane out because Shane wasn't standing on the floor. to be the last man standing perhaps requires the winner to be standing on the ground, but Shane was climbing up and over, with the potential conclusion of hitting the ground and therefore not be standing. beyond that, I had the same thought, it was useless. unless Kane was moving around showing signs of life that he was getting up and falling back down, they should by the rules of the match have counted him out, or at least made the count for him to get up. but this all was Shane's Exit.....everytime he disappears from the company he goes out big. Blackman dropping him from the scaffold ladder at Summerslam, Kurt Angle throws Shane through a couple of Glass walls at KOTR 01 At Survivor Series 01 he takes everyone's finisher on the WWE side before his final pin.... and now he jumps off and goes through the floor.....we won't see him for 3-6 months. Oh, JR ALWAYS goes totally over the top. Bless, he's so excitable. It would have been weird if he hadn't sold it to such a degree, although I agree it was annoying that the previous bumps weren't mentioned at all, just "Bah gawd, we have seen Shane do this before, surely he wouldn't again!" or something to that effect would have done. It's to be expected though, WWE are forever ignoring things that happened just a few scant years back.
