Eddie Guerrero get into a confrontation with a fan

Recommended Posts

I meant like London to be a Cocky Jock frat boy who has no relent for anything...

So, basically, he'd be like every other heel, except he'd wear a team jacket and a college ring.

You forgot the backwards baseball cap and seashell necklace.

That's what I'm talking about...along with Khaki Shorts and Sandals...

I don't get it, if some random guy just poured beer on you would you not be pissed? Some of you are acting like just because he's a wrestler makes a difference and therefore he should be punished.

My point is, Eddie was provoked and was probably acting in the heat of the moment with no time to actually think about possible consequences for his actions. I don't care if you're working a wrestling match or walking down the street, you'd be pissed off if some hoosier poured beer, or anything on you.

Absolutely nothing wrong with khakis and sandles. Where I live, you need them to survive

The only I thing I didn't like about this story is that all of the idiot's friends didn't get their buts kicked in. Guerrero did the right thing.

Crap, Choken, I forgot all about those. At least now we have all the particulars sorted out.

He also needs a Big Tall Muscle personality lacking goof, An short fat party animal freak with a bad crew cut and a week hold beer stain and a furry beard and a Couple Blondes in Abercrombie Shirts and Tight Black Sweatpants...

Eddie was in the right here...and like the other people on this board with common fucking sense, I only wish that he had gotten in one good shot on the guy.

This guy deserved to be punched out, and anybody here who is calling for a fine or any other punishment should have their lights punched out, too...just for being ignorant, smarmy assholes.

That's my two cents.

Slow down, man. We don't need to hire all those people. He can just be a dip in the regular attire.

...wait, no, you're right, he needs a gaggle of similarly attired morons with him.

Hire them? Just go to any local College and offer a free beer and there's your "cast"

That's also the TNA recruiting method

The way I see it, Eddi is a recovering alcoholic who really is trying to stay clean. Not only did this guy pour beer ON him, he inadvertantly poured the beer into Eddie's mouth, which, I think, would count as his first drink since going sober. If that happened to me, I'd be pissed as well, and I sure as hell would have gone after the guy.

I mean, at least Eddie is TRYING to stay sober, unlike, say, Scott Hall...

Might as well get back to your old habit if the boss is making you toil around with it. No sense making your short stay shitty.

True. I think that McMahon was just taunting Hall, putting him into a program with Austin where he gets beer poured over him every show...

Ya know, I never thought of it like that! Good show old man! I didn't even consider that McMahon was doing this, possibly, as a test or something, to test his ability to resist the al-key-hol.....

Bah, I'd *test* him on how well he can handle a good beating if someone did that to me, I wouldn't put up wi dat crap. Who would? You'd either have to be the world's calmest guy, or the world's biggest pushover . . . or the beer-pourer is the world's biggest guy.

I love the Smark mentality. If HHH did this, everybody would be calling for his head. Meanwhile Eddy does it and it's understandable. Bullshit. He ran through the crowd, running after the fan and chasing him, and then started throwing punches. I mean, I like Eddy and all, but what an idiot; he should control his damn temper. I could see if he just turned around and popped him quickly or something like that, but to actually go out of his way to ignore his job (putting on the match in the ring), running through the crowd and leaving your partner and opponents high and dry in the ring is completely stupid, unproffesional, and irresponsible.

Oh, please. You're just generalizing smarks. Besides, you're a poster on a board called the "Smart Marks." Are you trying to say you aren't a smark? Personally, I'm getting really damn tired of these "I'm-not-a-smark-but-I'll-post-here-to-tell-you-why-you're-wrong" types.

Am I the only one that thinks that Eddy was wrong? If he was an athlete in a legitimate sport, and went after a fan that did something to him, he'd be suspended. Period.

And if you're walking down the street, and someone throws a beer at you, and you pummel them, it's assault. The judge won't say "oh, he started it, so what you did was Ok." And the judge won't care if you're a recovering alcoholic. If someone provokes you in a non-physical way, and you're response is physical, you lose.

Now, I'm not saying suspend Eddy, or de-push him. But a fine? Yes. Some form of community service? Yes. But to say that he was right for doing what he did is a joke.

Fuck that....any fan dumb enough to do that to ANY wrestler deserves to have his ass handed too him.....

My God. If we're going on those rules then over 90% of the WWE roster should be fined, suspended, fired and jailed for steriods, pain killers and god knows what else they get away with.

For a bunch of testosterone driven sports fans some of you are the biggest bunch of self-righteous pussies I've ever seen. Boo hoo, Eddie went after some idiot who poured beer on him so he should be punished. Go hug a tree or watch water polo.

Get the fuck out of here with that "Eddie should have controlled his temper" crap. He gets incredibly racist things shouted at him when he is a heel, and he handles it. He takes all of the heat that a crowd can give, and he is still professional. This guy PHYSICALLY provocted Eddie(yes, pouring a beer on a guys head is physcially provocing him). Alchohol abuse or not, THAT would piss each and everyone of you off and it is stupid to say that because he is a wrestler he should have taken it.

I wonder if you would feel the same way if a female wrestler was near the baracades and some guy pulled her top off. Should she be professional and just put her top back on or does he deserve a shit kicking? It is the same instance of someone being completely disrespectful and deserves any and everything they got.

Eddie was perfectly justified in going after this guy, especially given his history with alcohol. And even if not, bullshit like that totally crosses the line of just heckling the wrestlers and having a good time. And I'm not saying that just because its Eddie, I'd be all for HHH beating the guy's ass down to. I know I would in that situation. And Eddie did apologize, which was a classy gesture.

And some of you guys kill me with this "unprofessional behavior", "endangerment of fans" "he should be fined!" nonsense. As someone said before, who knew wrestling fans of all people could be such raging pussies.

Wait, am I a pussy for pointing out what Eddy did was against the law? And thus deserves some sort of punishment. He shouldn't be put on a pedestal because he's a fucking pro wrestler. Or because he's a recovering alcoholic. I'm not saying he should have stricter punishment, I'm just pointing out the facts. You attack someone physically, you run the risk of facing assault charges. Throwing a drink in someone's face is provoking them, but provoking someone isn't against the law. You call someone a pussy, and then they kick your ass, they can't say "well, judge, he prokoked me by calling me names". Same for pouring a drink on someone ... it's NOT an excuse to physically assault someone.

And, Ripper, you ask about if someone pulls the clothes off a girl. That's against the law. I'm not enough of a law-buff to know the terminology, but I'm pretty sure it's sexual assault. So, it's not comparable to pouring a drink over someone's head. Furthermore, if that happened in real life, and the girl's friends or boyfriend beat the snot out of the guy, they'd STILL be potentially facing assault charges. Regardless of the fact that the guy deserved it.

If I'm a pussy for pointing out the, uhm what's the word, LAWS that this country has, so be it. Would I be tempted to do the same thing as Eddy did? Yes. And is there a chance that I would act on this temptation? Yes. But if I did act on them, I'd have to be willing to face the charges.

We get it. You appreciate the law and are an upstanding US citizen. The way you say Eddie should be punished or should be fined you sound like you're going to try to make a citizen arrest.

Screw what is right and what is wrong. Sometimes a motherfucker just needs the shit kicked out of them.
