ChrisMWaters Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 OK, just got home from work (grave shift) and on the way home, a thought occurred to me. What songs would some wrestlers have if they could do like ECW and use popular songs for their themes. So, this thread begins. Pick a wrestler (or wrestlers) and give a popular song for the theme. Even wrestlers with popular songs as the theme (like Edge with "Never Gonna Stop") can get picked for new songs. Oh, and if you have songs that you think would fit a wrestler, but don't know which one, post it here and others can try to fit it in. I'll start the ball rolling with one Raw guy, one Smackdown guy, and one stable for themes...plus a theme I think would be good for a wrestler. Kane - "A Violent Reaction" by American Head Charge Kurt Angle - "Gonna Fly Now" (the Rocky Movie Theme...you know it.) Evolution - "Princes of the Universe" by Queen and the theme I think would be neat to hear in WWE for a guy... "TNT" by AC/DC
haVoc Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I'd love to see someone like Jericho come out to Pantera's "Becoming." The guitars in that song are so F'N loud in an arena it's scary.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 2, 2003 Author Report Posted October 2, 2003 Oh, because it was used at WrestleMania X8...another song I'd like for a wrestler to use is "Superstar" by Saliva. I just like that song. ^^
BifEverchad Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Beastie Boys, "Gratitude" would be an awesome entrance theme for anyone, perhaps even a stable.
Mecha Mummy Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 The FBI - Ditch the cheap rip-off and use "No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn" by the Beastie Boys Spanky - Just for the hell of it, I'd love to have his theme be "Genie in a Bottle" by Christina Aguilera again.
Crimson Platypus Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Rico - It's Raining Men (not sure who that's by) Teddy Long (and crew) - Damn it feels good to be a gangsta (Ghetto Boys)
ChrisMWaters Posted October 2, 2003 Author Report Posted October 2, 2003 Hmm...for the hell of it...you can also suggest guys that were around in WWF/E before... Too Cool - "Here Come The Hotstepper" (yeah, I know Public Enemy used it in ECW. ) Dude Love - "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf
Crimson Platypus Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 haha also Rico could use Right Said Fred's Too Sexy. Or Rico Suave (by that Ricardo guy) Junkyard Dog - Hound Dog (Elvis) Undertaker - Cemetary Gates (Pantera)
ChrisMWaters Posted October 2, 2003 Author Report Posted October 2, 2003 Undertaker - Cemetary Gates (Pantera) Heh...either that or "For Whom The Bell Tolls"
Crimson Platypus Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Undertaker - Cemetary Gates (Pantera) Heh...either that or "For Whom The Bell Tolls" Good call, that one would be great for Mankind too (although I really liked the music he did have) Ken Shamrock - Angry Again (Megadeth)
TheFranchise Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Rico - It's Raining Men (not sure who that's by) Teddy Long (and crew) - Damn it feels good to be a gangsta (Ghetto Boys) The Weather Girls or recently Geri Halliwell.
Ultra Violence Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Kane : Stone Sour - Tumult Booker T: Bloodhound Gang - Tricky Jericho: Metallica - Don't tread on me HHH: Electric Six - Gay Bar Rico: Electric Six - Dance Commander Kurt Angle - Rammstein - Mein Herz Brent
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 For some reason I would like to hear "Poundcake" whenever Vince and Steph are in the ring together. Randy Orton or Ric Flair- "Inside" by Van Halen Now listen here. It's not what you are, ya see, it's how ya dress 'Cuz that's one thing I learned from these guys, I must confess Now me look, I got this job not just bein' myself, huh! I went out I bought some brand new shoes Now I walk like someone else, hey! Maybe I'm crazy or just too high But all this here can't be worth my piece of the pie
2GOLD Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Ric Flair should be coming out to Cococabana by Barry Manilow since his robe and walk work perfect for it. And Randy Orton should just come out to "Dogs barking Jingle Bells"
2GOLD Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 And Coach should come out to Owen's old theme "Enough is enough and it's time for a change!"
Guest Rob Edwards Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Jericho HAS to come out to Muse's "plug in baby" it'd suit his cocky heel persona beautifully
Guest meanmaisch Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Charlie and Russ Haas used to have a cover of "TNT" as their theme music during their indy days.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 they should just let Jericho come out with a Fozzy song as his intro not like anyone would really know its him singing outside of Canadians and those in the North west
Guest hosserific Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 highway 61 - bob dylan for the undertaker would be fresh fly like an eagle (edited of course) by steve miller would be great for cruiser
King Cucaracha Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Big Show- Eat You Alive by Limp Bizkit. Work it out for yourselves.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 For when HHH and Stephanie reunite: Smack My Bitch Up by Prodigy
Guest Coffey Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Mad Season ~ "River of Deceit" for Raven.
Corey_Lazarus Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Nah, "River Of Deceit" is too mellow. Besides, it was a common song used for video packages involving Tommy Dreamer in ECW. WWE RAW Rob Van Dam - "Walk" (Pantera) HHH - "Orgasmatron" (Motörhead) Steve Austin - "Demise Of Sanity" (Black Label Society) Christian - "Here I Go Again" (Whitesnake) Chris Jericho - "Metal Health (Bang Your Head)" (Quiet Riot) OR "To Kill A Stranger" (Fozzy) Kane - "I Don't Wanna Be Me" (Type O Negative) SMACKDOWN Kurt Angle - "I Need A Hero" (forget who) Undertaker - "We Live No More" (Black Label Society) TWGTT - "Push" (Helloween) John Cena - "1/2 & 1/2" (Gang Starr) Los Guerreros - "Smooth" (Santana f/ Rob Thomas) Funaki - "Turning Japanese" (The Vapors) Brock Lesnar - "Terminator" (dunno the composer) TNA Raven - "Crushing Belial" (Shadows Fall) Vampiro - "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" (Misfits) The New Church - "Skeletons Of Society" (Slayer) Jerry Lynn - "Of Hate We Breed" (Susperia) Jeff Jarrett - "9 Teen 90 Nine" (Limp Bizkit) Shark Boy - "Jaws" (John Williams) AJ Styles - "Now Or Never" (Dope) D'Lo Brown - "Jungle Love" (Morris Day & The Time) Sonny Siaki/Ekmo Fatu - "Blood Milk & Sky" (White Zombie)
Lord of The Curry Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Bonnie Tyler sang that "I Need A Hero" song IIRC.
HarleyQuinn Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I kind of would like seeing Mankind(96 persona) come out to the Suspiria Theme by the Goblins. Sable - Every You, Every Me by Placebo
Lil' Bitch Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Test - "Nobody Like You" by Limp Bizkit HHH - "Many Men" by 50 Cent
Mecha Mummy Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 Nah, Funaki's theme should be "Last Dinosaur" by The Pillows. Fun fast-paced J-Rock owns.
DangerousDamon Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 kane-hell's bells by ac/dc randy orton-any boy band song kurt angle- hearts on fire[i think that's the name of theme in rocky 4] john cena- right where you stand by gangstarr rey mysterio- 004 by fermin IV goldberg- crush em by megadeth rico-this is your night by amber.
{''({o..o})''} Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 For no real reason that we can remember whenever anybody plays as The Big Show in any game, we play that song "Tiny Dancer". We've pretty much done this since No Mercy and it cracks everyone up every damn time.
spiny norman Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 Triple H: Flashdance...What A Feeling Kurt Angle: Karma Chameleon Chris Benoit: Come On Eileen Undertaker: Material Girl Brock Lesnar: Total Eclipse Of The Heart Kane: Waterloo Rob Van Dam: Raspberry Beret. I think those songs would really suit these wrestlers well.
