Guest El Satanico Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Much like Scarface last week, this weeks top DVD tells the tragic story of the main character's rise to power. Week of October 7th
Anakin Flair Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Why buy "A Christmas Story"? It's on for 24 hours every year on TBS.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Widescreen, uncut, commercial free, digitally remastered picture.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 THE ITALIAN JOB! One of the more underrated films of the summer.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 A Christmas Story is the single most overrated movie ever. Well...maybe the Matrix is now...but it's still a terrible movie that isn't funny...and I don't know how it became such a big thing.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Good to hear it. I started to think I was the only person on the face of the Earth that didn't like A Christmas Story.
MrRant Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 May all of you who do not like A Christmas Story have a horrible Christmas and shoot your eyes out. Bastards.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I'm getting "The Lion King" free... ...well free as in, 'I bought a lot of shit at Kroger's that earned me points for a free DVD'.

Youth N Asia Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I know you want people to go to the site. But wouldn't it make a little sense to post them
Guest El Satanico Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 (edited) Increasing traffic is one reason, but not the only reason. I also post it as a link, because to post the list on the actual board I'd have to redo all of my tagging for it to be formatted like I want. By linking it I save myself thirty minutes while only costing you a few seconds. Is it really that big of a deal to post it by way of link? Edited October 6, 2003 by El Satanico
BlackFlagg Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 wonder if there's anything special about this Demon Knight release as I already have it on DVD
eiker_ir Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 it's the same thing, it's just a re-release since the first edition was out of print
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 May all of you who do not like A Christmas Story have a horrible Christmas and shoot your eyes out. Bastards. There's a line in the sand, Rant. On one side are those like us that think A Christmas Story is THE holiday movie. And on the other side are a bunch of commies...
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 May all of you who do not like A Christmas Story have a horrible Christmas and shoot your eyes out. Bastards. And may your neighbor's animal ruin Christmas dinner for you. Bitches.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Someone please explain to me what's good about A Christmas story?
BifEverchad Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Much like Scarface last week, this weeks top DVD tells the tragic story of the main character's rise to power. Week of October 7th wha?....Sanford and Son: The Third Season?
Ripper Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 (edited) A Christmas Story is the single most overrated movie ever. Well...maybe the Matrix is now...but it's still a terrible movie that isn't funny...and I don't know how it became such a big thing. Edited October 7, 2003 by Ripper
Bruiser Chong Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Personally, I think what makes A Christmas Story so good is that it's a story that all of us can relate to in a way, not to mention that it holds such a strong appeal to such a wide audience that it's tough to ignore. It's one of those movies that makes you forget about the real world for a couple of hours and just doesn't ever really wear thin. Further more, it's one of those movies you only see for roughly a month around the Holiday season, so in a way, watching it is like a holiday tradition and an indication that the holidays are here. There aren't many Christmas movies that don't ever wear thin and are as memorable and quotable as this movie is.
