haVoc 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2003 WWE RAW did another 3.4 rating this week off hours of 3.3 and 3.6. This is the same rating as last Monday. The overrun of 4.1 was the highest rated segment. Backstage news items from RAW... - Many wrestlers were shaking their heads backstage at RAW last night when they saw that Triple H, despite being on hiatus to film movies, managed to get himself on RAW via a taped segment. - The plan right now is for WWE to deliver a Goldberg vs. Shawn Michaels match on an upcoming RAW. - Word is that the Mark Henry/Goldberg match came off very bad due to Henry forgetting many spots throughout the course of the bout. - Many wrestlers were also talking about the Canada house shows this past weekend. Most of the gates for the shows were poor, resulting in small cuts for the wrestlers. - Steve Austin is scheduled to be a guest on the Howard Stern Radio Show sometime soon. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted October 7, 2003 The Goldberg/Henry match was just wrong on so many levels why mention any aspect other than the fact that they felt the need to PROTECT FUCKING MARK HENRY FROM GOLDBERG!!!!!!!!

This is HHH's way of keeping his character alive on tv while he is away. He is one smart motherfucker, I'll give him that. He's about two more political moves from Hogan-like status. haVoc 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2003 Triple H plays a better game then Hogan. He has to. Triple H can't draw like Hogan. If Hogan couldn't draw top dollar he would have never gotten away with most of the crap he has.

The thought of Shawn beating instant karma and being able to perform again while Bret is growing increasingly older and more bitter makes me glad for some reason. Remember kids, no matter how bad you had it in the WWF/WWE, WCW will always fuck you over that much worse.

Guest JericholicEdgeHead Report post Posted October 7, 2003 I'm actually suprised RAW scored a 3.4 rating. I thought they might have been close to a 2.9-3.0 with the football & baseball game last night. I'm still wondering when RAW will get that dreaded 2.9 rating that might make Vince sweat. Guest thrall585 Report post Posted October 7, 2003 Shawn Michaels vs Bill Goldberg? Bill Goldberg "I respect Shawn Michaels but he isn't the type of guy that I'm interested in working with" before he joined WWE. Shawn Michaels vs the Rock would be better. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2003 I have stated before that i REALLY want to see that match, but Shawn would have to be REALLY built up again to be able have some sort of "big time" feeling for a Rock feud. I really don't want a heel turn with him refusing to do a lot of things he would have before now that he is a christian, and I certainly don't want him going over all the midcard in an attempt to re-establish himself. No, he doesn't need to be built back up. He's Shawn F'n Michaels... dammit just show a video package and have them both cut stinging promos on each other and it's GOLD. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2003 Problem there is, this would not be big money especially after shawn gets butchered by MARK HENRY and seems to be setting up for a clean loss to Goldberg. Then what? Realistically speaking, Rock wants to come back for some big time dream match, and with Shawn having been back for near 2 years now, it would be without a lot of luster. I'd say the Rock would come back and face Sting at Mania, but unless this really gets some insane hype, I don't see it happening. I'd still enjoy it, but it's not really feasible according to how the rock looks upon his career at this point.

I'm still wondering when RAW will get that dreaded 2.9 rating that might make Vince sweat. When they have a Raw featuring no over-the-top angles, all angles involving wrestlers only, decent writing and continuity, the right booking, a main event push for Jericho imminent, decent matches, and underlooked guys like Dreamer and Richards getting more TV time.. Just to piss us off, that would draw a 2.9 and Vince would go back to the old "tried and true" methods.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2003 To go against everything a smark is supposed to believe in....I'd pay money to see Sting/Rock.... I'd pay a LOT more to see that than I would to see HBK/Rock. The Rock is the kind of guy who seems to have a pretty good match most of the time, as he really puts a lot into it. When Sting is in the ring with a guy like that, he's almost always "on" also. That match could very well be very good.
