Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 from 411 John Malkovich and Dennis Quaid were apparently seen meeting with director Chris Nolan on the set of Batman: Intimidation Game. Malkovich may play villain Ru Al Ghul while Quaid may play Commissioner Jim Gordon. Credit: AintItCool.com I still say Rickman would play Ghul best
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted October 10, 2003 BREAKING NEWS: David Goyer seen talking to his brother! Will he be playing Alfred????
Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Malkovich could be a solid Ra'as, I think, but Dennis Quaid as Gordon? Pfah! That would be a really stupid move, IMO.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted October 10, 2003 If anything Dennis Quaid is the GOOD NEWS.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I agree, I think I'd mark a bit to see Quaid as Gordon. Malkovich wasn't really someone I had in mind for Ghul, but I think he could make it work. I'm not displeased with either of these choices, should they indeed be made.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 10, 2003 No problem with Malkovich...he can play good villians. Quaid...I don't know I can't really see him as Gordon. Is Gordon younger in the comic than he is in the movies, tv show and cartoons?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I would like to see Dennis Quaid as the commich just give him a wig at least they did not consider his brother Randy.
Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I think Dennis Quaid is too young, but perhaps I'm mistaken. If this one is the Year One style flick, then it's a good choice, but I thought Aronofsky's was the Year One style flick and Nolan's just followed regular continuity. Anyways...I still say Malkovich would have no problem pulling off the part. But a better choice? Well, maybe I'm crazy, but I say Michael Wincott. The guy just oozes evil. Highland 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 If there is a god, this movie follows the attitude of the comics and not the other movies.
dubq 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Argh! Please, no Malkovich!! Quaid is fine.. but give me Alan Rickman as Ghul any day of the week!

Guest Just J Report post Posted October 10, 2003 This movie is supposed to be in the early Batman years, so Quaid would work. Plus I think he can pull it off.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 William H. Macy would be a fine Gordon. He can do exasperation and exhaustion quite well, and he looks right physically. His voice is a little too nasal though.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I'd take Randy Quaid actually...
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I agree with Raven, I think Rickman would play Ghul best. But Malkovich has potential.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Put me on that list for thinking Rickman would make a better Ghul than Malcovich as well

A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Oh yeah, Wincott was the bad guy in The Crow... I'm not sure that Quaid would make a good Commish, I mean, unless he plays it well, he'll look too badass and take away some of Bale's spotlight. Honestly. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Quaid would be perfect, give his hair a touch of a grey and a moustache. It's closer to the comics then the old and feeble Gordon we've been presented in past films.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2003 what about Bob Hastings as Gordon?
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2003 I'd like to see Bob Hoskins as Gordon. He has a Gotham feel to him, I guess.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 11, 2003 Wincott? Loved him in the CROW...I'd go for that as well but I guess they want a major name since Bale isn't...
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2003 I'd also like to see Wincott, he was great in The Crow and came off as very evil.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2003 Wincott's best scene in the Crow is when he's talking shit to Brandon Lee while he's whippin his ass, tellin him he has a lot of heart and he put up a good fight, classic bad guy shit...
