I just got back from seeing the movie. I thought it was great. Lots of blood, action, comedy, and drama. I can't wait for volume two.

Three words will sum up my thoughts on this film, as I watched it today.

Holy.Fucking.Shit.

Seriously, I'm at a loss for words. The film was so outstanding in every possible way, I don't really know what else to say.

I'll give a serious review for it if you want though, or you can ask questions and I'll answer them.

Hm, Downhome, how does the Spaghetti Western thing come into play? I don't really see much of that in the previews. Is it more just the "showdown" vibe of the fights or what?

There's really no other way to describe it besides "great".

Volume 2 is a must-see for me. My theatre wasn't even half full though, I expected a packed theatre.

Just got back from the theater, and I must say the film was amazing! Its the best movie I've seen this year!(out of only 3 that I bothered seeing:Pirates....Open Range....and Kill Bill) This is ranking near my all time favorites already. They better put both volumes on DVD, but have it as one movie, so we can see it in its entirity. My mom didn't like it though. She doesn't like blood.

Was it really that good?

Looks very generic from the previews.

Just go see the movie. ALL your questions will be answered. *watches Kill Bill on a burnt KVCD*

Yeah the previews don't do the film justice I don't think. It looked kinda cheesy in the preview but man that movie was super charged with energy. Made the Matrix Reloaded seem like boring shit.

Tarantino is a genius, no doubt. He's insane of course, but a genius.

i had the same concerns. the trailer was made either to give away as little as possible about the movie, or to downplay any difference it might have with any other action movie. it is NOTHING like the trailer. see it right the hell now.

i'd post more detailed thoughts (cause there's a lot i'd like to say about it), but i just got back fresh from seeing another great movie, and i'm pretty tired. so, maybe later.

The music that followed the movie just blew my mind as it was the most beautiful combination and the richest soundtrack to a movie I have ever heard. I'm not a rap fan but the RZA is one hell of a music genious and did a great job for QT once again.

I was surpised not to see the sword training scenes with the old school white bearded kung fu master since it was in the trailer for the 1st volume, so I guess it will be in the second.

It's the movie served best when seen more than once.

I just got back from seeing Kill Bill Vol. 1... CONTAINS SPOILERS

Are you guys insane? This was the most boring movie I've seen in a long, long time. The pacing was extremely slow, and the movie, overall, had no heart. The "sword selection" scene, for instance, took way too long. The Anime scene, too, kept going on and on.

There were, however, a few things that piqued my interest during the movie:

- The score was the best part of the movie

- Artistic blood spattering

- Uma blinks and the scene goes from black & white to color

- Uma in the wheelchair

- Uma on the yellow cycle

The last battle against Liu was anticlimactic and didn't exactly leave me wanting more. I mean, Liu gets her scalp lopped off? The reference to Hannibal didn't exactly have me giggling.

My only fear going in was that I wasn't going to be able to get into the fighting. But my fears were put to rest really quickly. I don't know if I should've been as hard at all the blood splattering as I did, though.

The score was just amazing.

I've seen it twice so far, and I must say, this is, hands down, one of the best films that I've ever seen. I disagree with RawMVP wholeheartedly, though. Tarantino actually topped Pulp Fiction on this one. The dialouge was a bit cheesy at times, and the frequent usage of Japanese w/ English subtitles was a little annoying. Other than that, it was a great movie. The fight scenes were breathtaking, the score was absolutely amazing, the overusage of blood made it entertaining as hell, and....I'm out of descriptions here.

Go out and see this movie as soon as possible. If the soundtrack is out yet, I'm there. Fucking there.

By far one of the greatest movie I've ever seen. Absolutely flawless.Cinematography, choreography, sequence, twist at the end, and even the freakin score!!!!Definately one of my top five. Much respect to Thurman and Quentin. Much respect.

This was easily the best movie I've seen this year and may well be the best flick I've seen in a couple of years. There were so many great elements to this movie outside of the obvious that every time I think about it I gain a new admiration for it. It was really the little things that put this over the top for me (PARTIAL SPOILERS):

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

- First fight scene with the overuse of course language as a throwback to all those late 70's early 80's action movies that swore for no other reason than two swear.

- Hattori Hanzo being given a role considering he is one of the pioneers of Japanese Action Film (his name eludes me right now, sorry)

- The overuse of blood as a direct homage to Japanese Anime/Manga (anyone notice there's no super blood until after the anime sequence with the insane blood?)

- The Bruce Lee tribute with the motorcycle outfit.

- The absolute non sensical descrepencies done on purpose (sword on a plane? buying plane tickets with no money?)

Those are just a few things that I loved. There were tons more but I'm late for work. If you haven't seen this movie yet, do so. You won't be disappointed.

For what it's worth, I thought this was better than Pulp Fiction and Reservior Dogs (and I liked those a lot). I've never seen Jackie Brown, but I heard that it's "ok at best".

About the score, I agree there too. I actually turned to my friend during the movie and said "this soundtrack is nasty"
