Bruno Sammartino vs. Ivan Koloff (1975) Bob Backlund vs. Pat Patterson (1979) Bob Backlund vs. Stan Hansen (1981) Jimmy Snuka vs. Don Muraco (1983) Ric Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes (1986) Rock 'n' Roll Express vs. Andersons (1986) Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty (1993) Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (1994) Triple H vs. Mankind (1997) Edge vs. Kurt Angle (2002) ...that makes 10 out of 11 that are confirmed. (*Matches shown in their entirety): Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart* (1994) This is a MUST BUY. That ONE MATCH sold me on the DVD.
Fökai Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 (edited) What no War Games? These are matches that categorize themselves as "old-school" cage matches. I'd assume that the WWE categorizes HITC's and Wargames as a natural "gimmick" match. EDIT: Anyone care to predict the last full match? I say Warrior/Rude from Summerslam 1990. TheFranchise Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 We'll never see War Games on a WWE DVD, unless they found a way to claim they invented them.
Aero Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 We'll never see War Games on a WWE DVD, unless they found a way to claim they invented them. nWo Back in Black DVD has Fall Brawl's 1996 War Games
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 when does this come out again?
razazteca Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Was the Flair vs Garvin the match where Ronnie wins the NWA belt?

Fökai Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 when does this come out again? Two weeks from tomorrow (the 28th). ...and the cover for the release...
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Damn. I'm going to have one expensive end of the month. I go see RoH on the 25th, this comes out on the 28th, my anniversary is the 29th...which also happens to be the release of Rainbow Six and XIII...AND Smackdown HCTP I think...plus regular DVD releases and TNA broadcasts.
razazteca Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 There had to be better cage matches with Flair in it than the Ronnie Garvin one right? The peeps want to see Flair vs Road Warrior Hawk.
cawthon777 Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Was the Flair vs Garvin the match where Ronnie wins the NWA belt? I highly doubt it's the match from Detroit. My money is on it being the rematch from Chicago from Starrcade 87.
Fökai Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Yeah, HCTP also comes out on the 28th. My wallet will be empty as well. There had to be better cage matches with Flair in it than the Ronnie Garvin one right? The peeps want to see Flair vs Road Warrior Hawk. Other potential matches could just be on the Flair DVD, released two weeks later.
cawthon777 Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 The peeps want to see Flair vs Road Warrior Hawk. When did they have a cage match?
Jack_Bauer Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Yup, I want to see the Hawk match damn it ! What I DO wanna see was the Steiners v Money Inc tag cage. That was supposed to have been good.
TheFranchise Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Yup, I want to see the Hawk match damn it ! What I DO wanna see was the Steiners v Money Inc tag cage. That was supposed to have been good. The thought of Money INC on DVD.
cawthon777 Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Flair had matches with Hawk but none were in a cage to my knowledge. The Steiners vs. Money Inc match was great stuff.
Guest drdrainoscott Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Does anyone wonder what they were smoking when they decided to include the Hart/Yankem match? I personally would have loved to see the Hart/Sid match from Raw in 1997 take its place. And I really want to know when I am going to get a DVD quality version of the Beniot/Angle match. My hopes were so high when I saw the original match listings, but it will only be clips.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Magnum/Tully is clipped?! Fuck. Aside from that, this is awesome. I'll pick it up when i get the chance. Last match: either Rude/Warrior or Michaels/Bret (was on some Coliseum release, i think), or the outside possibility of Savage/Zeus Vs Beefcake/Hogan
Jack_Bauer Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 I NEED to see this Magnum/Tully match, EVEN if it's clipped.
Fökai Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Does anyone wonder what they were smoking when they decided to include the Hart/Yankem match? If it's clipped, I don't mind either way. And I really want to know when I am going to get a DVD quality version of the Beniot/Angle match. My hopes were so high when I saw the original match listings, but it will only be clips. Not anytime soon with the settlement enacted.
BifEverchad Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Its great to see the WWE do something worth while with the old footage... Now, please everyone...raise your glasses as we all salute the WWE for doing something good for a change! *raises glass*
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Bob Backlund vs. Stan Hansen (1981) Hansen? On DVD. On WWE DVD. Ooooh Daddy. *Raises arm, adjusts elbow pad*
