BoboBrazil Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I'm not watching the show live, so post your comments in here.
Jack_Bauer Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Yeah, I am in the UK and TNA HUNGER STRIKES~!
tpww7 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Red Sox- Yanks and Cubs- Marlins > Russo filled final show. I'll return to ordering next week to watch Styles last match as a main eventer before Hogan arrives...
Jack_Bauer Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Micheal Shane v Chris Daniels could be a good match I think.
BoboBrazil Posted October 16, 2003 Author Report Posted October 16, 2003 Russo announced he wasn't wrestling. Legend is taking his place. I've heard tonight is Russo's last show until after the 11/30 ppv at the earliest.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Hey, can someone give highspot, botched spots, replay value, and news for this show? From the 7 or 8 weeks I've ordered, TNA has been hit or miss. The 1-cent show was great, and that XXX/AMW cage match is in my top 3 for MOTY (personal list, anyways...), WarGames was contrived, and that Super X tournament was absolutely incredible. But Raven has been booked with a bunch of losers (Vampiro? Ugh...), but Slash is a decent worker that could get a good match with him tonight. So lemme know if the show's worth ordering. (...congrats Sonjay!)
Jack_Bauer Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 The X Tag could be great. Just depends on whoelse they bring into the match. Oh yeah, Sonjay v Tiger Mask IV, im BEGGING for that match to be on the three hour show, as I am getting hold of it after it happens.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 No PPV tonight...updates! What's the deal with this Legend guy? Why is he booked into programs of high profile and we're expected to care (such as that Daniels/Legend v. Watts/JJ tag, and the WarGames run-in). He sucks in the ring, can't speak, and has a shitty generic dark match WWE look. He should be used as fodder for Abyss, who is the most ridiculous Mankind mask/Kane gimmick rip-off ever...but has actually really grown on me. Is Daniels/Shane for the belt?
BoboBrazil Posted October 16, 2003 Author Report Posted October 16, 2003 Blame the totalnonstop.com message board. They visit that board and everyone there for the most part has the shittiest ideas. They actually want Legend, Road Kill, and other horrible wrestlers on.
{''({o..o})''} Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Normally I would try to give you highlights but girlfriends gonna be over in about ten minutes so I really just ordered to copy it for the Hogan stuff. Next week I'm so going to be here for you all.
Jack_Bauer Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Well, I want Chris Daniels, Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles on. Raven as well. WHY did I list him AFTER Jeff ? Not that I don't like Jeff, but Raven ROCKS !
tpww7 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I'll be here next week as well. Shitty Lineup + Baseball = an automatic non-order
{''({o..o})''} Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Evidently 47,000 at the tokyo dome. He he. I'm just so glad that this was on before she got here.
syxx2001 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Styles last match as a main eventer before Hogan arrives... Dont you mean, Styles last match as champion? And if you are calling Abyss a current Kane ripoff, then it is actually the other way around. Abyss was a monster before Kane. And Legend has some nice offense.
Guest Choken One Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 even tna lies about the attendence...
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Styles last match as a main eventer before Hogan arrives... Dont you mean, Styles last match as champion? And if you are calling Abyss a current Kane ripoff, then it is actually the other way around. Abyss was a monster before Kane. And Legend has some nice offense. I never heard of Abyss before watching IWA so i'll give the nod to Kane, but Abyss is really awesome so he doesn't lose points. Anyone know other gimmicks Abyss had, incase I've seen him before and not remember?
slimm44 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Blame the totalnonstop.com message board. They visit that board and everyone there for the most part has the shittiest ideas. They actually want Legend, Road Kill, and other horrible wrestlers on. Hey now, that's a little harsh. (Though true)
Michrome Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I didn't order the show, but I bet Daniels is going to win the title tonight with Tiger Mask IV coming in. They've had matches with each other before, and it seems likely that they'll have a match at 11/30.
BoboBrazil Posted October 16, 2003 Author Report Posted October 16, 2003 Daniels already has his match and lost due to the followers.
{''({o..o})''} Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Well shes late again, wasn't Abyss Prince Justice? They have a very similar build and I remember thinking that Abyss had a good workrate for a big guy.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 No reports of TNA Tonight. wOw ::Continues watching LCS games::
tpww7 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I'm listening to the 1wrestling radio show and they are saying Jarrett is hanging Russo and beating the shit out of him.
Jack_Bauer Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Hold on, this event is actually ON ?!?! NOW ?!?! Man, does anyone give a fuck about this promotion anymore ?
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Marlins/Cubs Game 7 = greater than anything else on T.V right now.
BoboBrazil Posted October 16, 2003 Author Report Posted October 16, 2003 Once Russo lost all of the booking power people stopped posting in TNA threads. Coincidence?
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Abyss is totally cool with me, don't get me wrong. He may look bush league, but at least he is entertaining. So Daniels loses to Michael Shane, who's up their with Siaki and Syxx-Pac as far as X-Champs, IMO. Nice...
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Speaking of coincidence, I find it funny that Major League Baseball has produced awesome "storylines" now with underdog series (Cubs/Marlins), the "curse", the interfering Cubs fan, the Pedro/Zimmer altercation, the Sox Vs. Yankees, etc in ONE WEEK, while pro wrestling has had about 2 compelling storylines ALL YEAR...and it's scripted.
