In the movie, which they reported is scheduled to start shooting in January of 2004, IMBD reports that Rock will play “a gay bodyguard-singer who develops an alliance with Travolta's character.” … Thanks to the many people who sent that along. 1wrestling.com

The guy is meant to be f'ing huge (and Im sure he's part Samoan too...). It would be in terms of character, much better being one of 3MW or even Rikishi.

Like someone else said, it's just a character in a movie. He probably wants to show that he is more than just an action star and this is one way of accomplishing that.

Jobber of the Week Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Will Smith once mentioned on David Letterman that he was scared of doing more alien movies because then that would lock him into only doing comedic sci-fi. "Oh, you got an alien movie? Send it to Will." My guess is Rock is concerned about the same thing happening regarding him and action movies. Not sure about Walking Tall, but it's pretty obvious from this far out that Spy Hunter will bomb.

It would be ironic if he was to get injured during his "one time only" match. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever gotten injured during their scheduled last match?
