So the Cripple Fight from South Park

I'm watching this VH1 special on South Park, and they just showed how Jimmy & Timmy's Cripple Fight was a carbon copy of the fight between Roddy Piper and Keith David in They Live.

I never knew this and it was funny to see how they did the shots, angles and lines the same.

Is anyone else watching the special, or knew about this.

I know this isn't much of a topic, but I'm bored.

I remember watching Cripple Fight with my jaw dropped and wondering why it went so freaking long -- although my favorite part of that show, and probably one of highlights of the entire series for me, was when Gloria Aldred called Big Gay Al a homophobe (I'm pretty sure it was the same show -- gays in the Boy Scouts, right? A brilliant episode on so many levels -- the "straight" scout, Al's final speech.). I heard this VH1 special will re-air at 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday.

And which show did Lear help with? The stairway to God or 1776?...

The ladder to heaven wasn't the 100th episode special. That was the war protest where Cartman goes back to 1776.

TECHNICALLY "Cancelled" is the true 100th episode. "I'm a little bit country..." (the "official" 100th episode) was supposed to be the 7th Season premire episode but production problems in regards to the entire 1776 sequence caused the episode to be delayed and "Cancelled" was bumped up to the Season Premire spot.

By the time they finally finished IALBC, P&S ended up changing the ending of the episode, by way of adding the entire end song sequence with just about every character from the show's history showing up in the stands at the end.

Speaking of They Live, has anybody been able to find the DVD since they re-released it? I've got a friend who works at Sam Goody that had to order it for me because they didn't have any copies, and I've heard people on other boards saying it was hard to find.

It was the back drop out of the chair that let me know it was They live. My old roomate and I both recognized it the first time we saw it.

I figured that it inspired how they did the fight, but I had no idea that it was THAT spot on for it.
