Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 But do you not agree that it was INTENDED to be funny? I mean, the spoilers made it sound like it was the funniest thing ever, but I guess the humor just couldn't be conveyed on TV. This isn't an isolated incident either.
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 The spoilers made it sound funny?? "Kurt dresses up like Cena and raps, brings out a midget dressed up as Angle" sounded funny?
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 I should have been more clear. Those that wrote the spoiler reports said that they thought that it was funny. They had said "I won't spoil any Angle's great lines because they were so hilarious" etc. etc. etc.
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 but...but...but... it wasn't... funny..
Guest BionicRedneck Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 It was going OK until somebody thought it would be good to have the midget say "wiener" and have Cole and Tazz laugh as if "wiener" was the funniest word ever.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 Cole and Tazz tend to ruin segments with their hard-selling. Case in point - the pure, unmitigated "American Strong Style" bullshit.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 I'd like to find the cock-jockey who came up with the term "American Strong Style" and shoot him.
Guest Ray Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 Angle is only "mid card entertaining". It works for skits and whatnot but it doesn't make me want to buy anything that he sells. The words "Angle" and "sell" don't belong in the same sentence. And that midget skit was one of the worst things ever...
ISportsFan Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 And that midget skit was one of the worst things ever... I don't know how that could be one of the worst things ever when it wasn't even the worst thing on the show - and definitely not even in the top 5 of the worst things of the month on WWE TV. I'm not defending the skit in any way, I thought it was terrible. But let's not exaggerate too much. Steph's interview was more horrible by a magnitude of about 100x, and the Eddy/Big Show stuff, Kane/Shane stuff, and other Vince/Steph angles were worse too. Jason
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 "AHAHAHAHA He's SHORT! IT'S FUNNY CAUSE HE'S NOT LIKE US!!!" - Vince McMahon
Kardo Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 My brothers reaction walking into the room and seeing the midget "You know somebody actually thought of this"
Dangerous A Posted October 19, 2003 Author Report Posted October 19, 2003 I can tell you I was watching SD with some old casual fans that WWE lost sometime in 2002 and when we saw the midget skit, I was embarassed to still be a fan. They remarked how they are GLAD to not watch anymore because they hated trying to explain stupid shit like that to non fans or casuals. Fuckin WWE.
BoboBrazil Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 He looks sick still. He needs to put on some more weight. He isn't even recognizable anymore:
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 WWE feels that Goldberg needs to change his in-ring style. Goldberg seems to be ad-libbing too much in the ring, and not going in with a set plan as to what to do. This caused many injuries to himself and his opponents in WCW. Management is getting high on his character, but wants him to adapt his ring style. - Mark Henry hurt his shoulder at the 10/18 house show in Providence, RI. He is set to have an MRI on it today. - Rene Dupree hurt his knee at the Providence show but seems fine now.
Guest Choken One Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Time to bring DDP for Goldberg Match storyboards...
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Didn't we just see a report that they want wrestlers to not plan out the match beforehand, and to call the match in the ring?
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 no he wouldn't, he likely hasAMPLE material now. = understatement of the century.
2GOLD Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 - Mark Henry hurt his shoulder at the 10/18 house show in Providence, RI. He is set to have an MRI on it today. Man, Mark Henry is just arrogant bastard. Trying to show up Kevin Nash with injuries like this! Who does he think he is ?!?
