Guest Evolution Report post Posted December 4, 2004 Mexico City Team Names Ideas: Mexico City Guerreros (Warriors) Mexico City Pollos Estupidos (Stupid Chickens) Mexico City Trabajadores Baratos (Cheap Workers) As for the one hitter/one pitcher idea, this probably won't happen until five seasons down the line, since I'm still holding out the idea that some new people won't be intimidated by the sheer GIGANTIC amount of posts and will read the first post and sign up. Spring Training explained, once again: You start with 20 points, divided evenly at the start among four categories. Batters: Contact Hitting Power Hitting Strike Zone Judgment Defense Pitchers: Pure Stuff Pitching Velocity Pitching Control Stamina From there, you can take away points from one category and put it in another, as long as you distribute all twenty points by the end of your reorganization. The other option is, of course, to take five points from all four categories (or from one), and put it towards learning a new position. There is no guarantee that you will learn the position, however, so choose how to distribute your points wisely. Post your Spring Training plans at any time. Vasarian_Brandy 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Oh, and since this is big, Mexico City and Quahog are officially teams now. Their logos: Mexico City Guerreros Quahog Quagmires Awesome logos. I wish these teams luck... But not too much luck. Boston still needs to win the big one. Anyway, here's Fury's Spring Training regiment: Contact Hitting 6 Power Hitting 7 Strike Zone Judgment 6 Defense 1 Since steroids are illegal (Drugs 'r bad, mmmkay?) , I'll have to boost the ol' bat the old-fashioned way, and hope I don't turn into Giambi or A-Rod in the field. COL: Nigel McClain gets a new one-year contract worth $4,349,643 through salary arbitration. COL: Jesse Ewiak gets a new one-year contract worth $3,908,571 through salary arbitration. Free Agency Before the hub-bub even started, a big trade was announced that likely won't please Mr. Logan Caldwell: Trade between Detroit and Memphis : Memphis gets : SS Domenic Hopkins LF Dale Boothe Detroit gets : 3B Logan Caldwell Mexico City: Free agent 3B Edward James has been signed to a contract of $8,491,800 per year, for 4 years. Los Angeles: Free agent RF Austin Sly has been signed to a contract of $7,694,500 per year, for 3 years. Quahog: Free agent C Timothy Marsch has been signed to a contract of $5,800,000 per year, for 3 years. Now, this is all well and good, except that Austin did not want to go back to the Glory Holes. He wanted to go to the Pride. So, a trade to fix the error that proves that I do not 100% control this game: Trade between Los Angeles and Columbus : Columbus gets : RF Austin Sly Los Angeles gets : SS David Menchaca And the trade to move Dehn to Quahog... Trade between Columbus and Quahog : Quahog gets : CF Jonathan Dehn Columbus gets : SS Labrandan Albright
