Hogan not coming back?

Recommended Posts

Obviously, Hulk Hogan is in the news today. A lot of people are still wondering what his situation with WWE is, especially with WrestleMania XX less than six months away. Here is the latest, as it stands today (and remember that with Hogan and Vince McMahon, it can change at the drop of a hat). People close to McMahon have told me that after Hogan left in June, after he didn’t want to do a job to Brock Lesnar, Vince “washed his hands of Hogan”. On Hogan’s side, he wanted to wrestle as himself, not as Mr. America, and was said to have wanted more than a novelty type of push. McMahon didn’t want Hogan beating his top guys due to the age factor. So, they parted ways. People inside WWE have told me that right now, the plan is to do Mania without Hogan. It should also be pointed out that a lot of people have told me that HHH is not a big fan of bringing back the Hulkster so that will probably play a part in it as well. But, given the way that Hogan plays the game of wrestling, and make no mistake he is truly the best there ever was in that respect, I am not so sure he won’t make a comeback.

I have a feeling he won't be back for XX.

But again, ya never really know. Vince is the biggest hypocrite alive. It really doesnt matter to me, Hogan or not, its still gonna be WRESTLEMANIA~!

Well, if HHH is not a big fan of bringing back the Hulkster, then Hogan is never coming back. Unless Vince scrapes the cash together and buys the WWE back from Hunter.

I'd like too see Hogan put someone over in a "retirement" match at WMXX, but TNA needs him more right now. But hey, with Hogan and Vince, never say never. Besides, this was reported by 1Bob, so take it with a grain of salt.

Why is it so important that Hogan be at WMXX? It's certainly not going to be the last one (and anyone that believes TNA will overtake WWE are very much mistaken) and his return would only hamper the development of the younger talent on the roster. Wrestlemania should be a venue for the Eddy's, Benoits, Angles, hell even HHH, Orton, RVD, and whoever else has been on the roster full time.

Vince does not need to, and should not cater to an over the hill wrestler that frankly walked out on him.

Then why is Steve Austin the most pushed guy on either roster?

Hogan was a HUGE reason why WM was a success in the first place. He should come back for the upcoming milestone WM. Like someone said above, in a FINAL retirement match. Preferably against Stone Cold, now that is a $ maker.

Hogan spent the last stint Jobbing more than he was winning anyway so thats fine.

Hogan fighting someone of By gone days of WWF like Savage perhaps, or someone else who happens to be alive that is..then it would be kinda cool.

Hogan last Big match however was against Vince McMahon, I still don't get why Hogan was pulling and advertising for that match for a full year... why be proud in beating some guy who isn't truly a wrestler...

thats like him going against Bobby Heenan.

Hogan and Flair was done on a Raw so it can't be that..

Hogan and Savage a possablity...

Bret can't..

HBK vs Hogan??

gee think of a trainwreck......

It helps when JR has a complete boner for you.

Because Austin is still very over, the only reason there's this speculation over Hogan being at WM is for the nostalgia factor.

Also, the statements that neither Hogan or Vince would work with eachother again could be serious, but they're both businessmen, and if Hogan's appearance at WM would be good business for both parties, he'll be there at Vince's invitation.

This is fucking bullshit. I don't care if Hogan comes back or not truthfully, but this tainted Hogan image pisses me off.

So, he didn't want to do the God awful "Mr. America" gimmick, and somehow it gets turned around into Hogan not wanting to put people over. All Hogan did when he came back was job to people. He lost to Angle by submission, He was bloodied and beaten by Brock, he put over the Rock at Wrestlemania.

It's fucking shit. I refuse to believe that Hogan left because he didn't want to job to Brock.

Fuck that.

Amen.

Also, I am frankly skeptical about Hogan's ability to help out TNA. Even if he does boost their business or land him a TV deal, he'll pressure management to centre the booking around him and we'll have WCW, Part II.

Or Part III, if you consider WWE to be WCW Part II.

I can't imagine what benefit anyone associated with 1wrestling would have from propigating this kind of story.

Having said that, I hope it's on the money - I'd rather have Hogan fucking around with Jeff than taking up time at Mania.

My sentiments exactly. It would be nice to have the hottest CURRENT stars of this generation to shine in the WWE's biggest show of the past half-decade.

F*ck Hogan. This was like the only thing the WWE did right in the past year. He was in a tag match with Angle and Brock Lesnar and made strong at the expense of both of them, and he b*tched that he wasn't getting pushed enough the week he left. F*ck him, and i hope he never gets to TNA, cause i watch that occasionally and i don't see what Hogan being ont top (which he will be) will do to help them except establish their guys as being lower than the old man with the crappy offense who gets big pops but draws no cash.

And don't tell me Hogan drew $$$$ at some event, whatever. I mean NOW, and i mean IN THE US. Right now, in the US, he is a marginal draw at best.

I agree with that 100%

But, doesn't Vince put himself over the whole roster every week on Smackdown?

Hulk Hogan was stuck in a non-sense gimmick as a masked idiot that everyone knew who it was. It was a stupid angle and screamed 1988 for crap sake.

Hogan jobbed to quite a few people his last run and I really am not a fan of Hogan. But this "the guy sucks so he must always be wrong" thing is getting out of hand.

I'd rather see Hogan than dead weight losers like Randy Orton and Maven.

It's still a dream of mine to see the man perform. I don't care how broken down and slow he is and all, he's still Hulk fucking Hogan, the person I grew up watching. I'd gladly pay, and pay well, to finally see him do his thing in person.

Hogan refused to do a job to Brock Lesnar last November and Vince said he'd never take him back. Instead Hogan all but headlined Mania. I doubt Vince will be any more of a disciplinarian this time around.

Sable SUED Vince McMahon and she's back.

I think Hogan could kill Stephanie and still be back for Wrestlemania XXX to face HHH in a tables, walkers and wheelchair match.
