Somebody seriously needs to get Pat Croce on the phone.

Is it just me or did things start falling off after he left ?

Danny Ainge doesn't make any god damned sense. I mean Jesus Christ, he didn't really gain or lose anything there. Although James has been doing good work for them. But hey! They got Lindsey Hunter!

Bored, I still have that issue of SI... hehe.

Also, The Hawks will put Terrell "The Hoss" Brandon on Waivers as part of the deal.

EDIT: Has this been posted ?

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- The Orlando Magic sent Gordan Giricek to the Utah Jazz for DeShawn Stevenson just before the NBA trading deadline Thursday in a swap of shooting guards.

The Magic also recieved a future second-round draft pick.

Stevenson averaged 11.4 points in 54 games for the Jazz, finally showing a glimmer of the promise that prompted Utah to draft him out of high school in 2000.

DeShawn is young, athletic and a fierce competitor,'' Orlando general manager John Gabriel said in a statement. ``He has grown nicely under the leadership of Jerry Sloan and the Jazz organization, and we look forward to him taking the next step with us.''

Giricek averaged a career-low 10.2 points in 48 games with Orlando. This is the second time in as many seasons he has been traded at the deadline.

Stevenson is having the most successful season of his four-year career. He has always been able to drive to the basket, but this season he has become more of a threat from the outside. His shooting percentage of .445 is a career high.

Utah selected Stevenson 23rd overall from Washington Union (Calif.) High School, hoping he would be the next player to make a quick leap from prep to pro success. The development was slow. After averaging 4.9 points his second season, Utah signed Stevenson to a one-year contract option and tried starting him at shooting guard early in 2002-03.

Stevenson held the job for eight games before returning to the bench. He grew frustrated as a reserve and let Sloan know it in a heated argument during practice that got him sent back to Utah during the opening round of the playoffs.

Stevenson apologized and was quickly reinstated from a one-game suspension.

Giricek is in just his second NBA season, having played for years in Europe.

He came to Orlando with Drew Gooden from Memphis in a deal for Mike Miller and Ryan Humphrey in 2003. They put a charge into a mediocre team, and Orlando won 13 of 18 games down the stretch to make the playoffs. Giricek averaged 14.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 27 games.

This season, however, Giricek fell out of favor with new coach Johnny Davis, and Giricek lost his starting job in early January to rookie Keith Bogans.

Giricek had improved his defense in the past days to Davis' satisfaction, and was seeing more time off the bench. In his last eight games in Orlando, he averaged 12.5 points on 48 percent shooting.

Giricek gives the Jazz four European players and two from U.S. territories. The Jazz's ``international'' roster is Giricek (Croatia), Carlos Arroyo (Puerto Rico) and Raul Lopez (Spain), All-Star forward Andrei Kirilenko (Russia), rookie Sasha Pavlovic (Serbia-Montenegro) and guard Raja Bell (U.S. Virgin Islands).

No. James and Mills are the same players Atkins and Hunter is, but we get another first rounder. Ainge is looking to a build a bit from the draft. Bring up the contract? No need. 4.5 mil for 2 more years is not even gonna budge the process of rebuilding the Celtics. We gave up NOTHING and we gained a pick. That is not a bad move when you have the space to do so. Atkins can be just as good as James. The only questionable thing about this was he helped Detroit get Rasheed, but that's not a huge deal.

Ugly win tonight. But a win none the less. What's disconerning in away is the year the Wolves might be a Top 2 seed in the playoffs. They'll have play someone like the Grizzlies, Nuggets, or Rockets. 3 teams that have beaten the Wolves, and usually play them tough.

One more thing. Why in the hell did Wally's wife change her hair color? She was awesome has a brunette.

BTW, looks like Vince Carter is out for 2-4 weeks.

I do doubt that Rasheed will be a Piston by next season.

I don't think any of those teams can beat the WOlves in a 7 games series. Not a chance in Hell. The Nuggests would probably give them the best run since they are a bit more balanced, but it's a major stretch to say that they(or the Grizz and the Rockets) will beat the best player in the league along with Cassell and Spree in 4 games.

T-Mac is fuckin' awesome.

Because he acted like a fool and kicked the ball twice?

But yeah, that was pretty funny. I like how Howard tried to stop him.

Pacers become the first 40-win team in the league, but not after a fight from the Wiz. The Magic have 42 losses, which means they can now do no better than tie us.

The magic number for the Pacers to clinch a playoff spot is 12.

The Celtics are being whooped. We are so lottery bound...here's hoping we lose enough to grab Okafor.

The Wolves activated Olowokandi yesterday.

He's a body inside. You can never have enough.

Guys. What would you consider a succesful season for the Wolves. Tonigh my cousin thought they could make it to the NBA Finals. I think, they need to experience making it out the first round, and than losing in the Western Conference finals, before making it all the way.

At least to me, it seemed that Minnesota brought in Sprewell and Cassell to strengthen up the team's back court. It just happens that both have wound up doing extremely well since joining the T-Wolves, and because of that people's opinions of how well the team can do have greatly increased.

God damn, they're still terrible but the Hawks legit do go down kicking and screaming everynight. Namely because at this point, it's all roleplayers.

VERY nice of the Pistons to drop one to the Magic last night, as we just learned here that Artest could in fact miss the rest of the regular season.

But, WOW. Look at the next ten for Detroit:

@ Phi

@ Chi

v Atl

@ LAC

@ Utah

@ Por

@ Den

@ Sea

v Chi

v Phi

Our schedule for the rest of the season isn't too much harder, though. I think we can hang on.

Anybody catch that Hawks/Rockets game? Triple OT!

One reason why I wish I had NBA League Pass. Sounded like a hell of a game to watch.

It was a crazy game. Both teams had it won but the other team would hit some last second shot to stay in it. Jason Terry's 3 in the 2nd OT from about 35 feet on the wing was nuts, but I swear Yao couldn't have done any more unless he drove the team bus and cooked the team breakfast today. 41 points (on 15-21 shooting, no less) 16 boards and 6 assists while fouling out two Hawk centers.

I wouldn't want to play the Hawks any more this year though. The whole friggin' team is playing for a contract 'cause just about everyone is a free agent after the season.
