Guest Italian Stallion Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Friday night I was a part of the Mad TV audience. That shit was so much fun. The tickets are free. Got them at a stand at Venice Beach. The guy has tickets to a few diferent shows. Anyways, they tape two shows a day. One at 4:30 and the second at 8:30. I went to the 8:30 taping which also happened to be the 200th episode!! In between each act they taped a comedian will talk to the audience. Some of us got to go on stage and act or do weird things. There was even a rap off. Hilarious stuff. The guy even pranked called audiences friends. We got out of there around 1 AM. How bout you guys? And dont say any wrestling stuff.
Damaramu Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I was a part of the Survivor audience....that was it.
Sandman9000 Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I was in the audience for a couple Nickelodeon game shows. I don't remember which, and don't particularly care.
Murmuring Beast Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I was in the audience for a couple Nickelodeon game shows. I don't remember which, and don't particularly care. Liar.
Guest EQ Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Yeah... you know you remember... and I bet you *DO* care
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Wait a minute. MadTV's still on? Whoa.
The Czech Republic Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 I was on the Bozo show. I remember being surprised at how small the WGN studios were.
spiny norman Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 I was at a Big Brother Eviction Party once. Good fun.
Richard Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 My cousins live in North Hollywood, and their school had field trips to show tapings. They weren't fans of anything they went to though. The only show I remember was SBTB the New Class.

bob_barron Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I've seen 10 Saturday Night Live dress rehearsals: Renee Zelwegger/Eve w/Gwen Stefani Reese Witherspoon/Alicia Keyes Billy Bob Thorton/Creed Jack Black/The Strokes Jon Stewart/India.Arie Winona Ryder/Moby Ashton Kutcher/50 Cent Adrien Brody/Sean Paul/Wayne Wonder Dan Aykroyd/Beyonce I also saw the Hugh Jackman/Mick Jagger episode. SNL tickets are ridiciously hard to come by. Except for Renee and Hugh I had to wait 20 hrs outside to get those tix.
haVoc Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Stupid question coming...... What the Hell is a dress rehearsal? It's not the actual show?
bob_barron Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 The dress rehearsal is what they do before the live show from 8ish to 10ish. It's a bit longer then the live show as they air skits that will end up being cut. Weekend Update is also longer in dress. I also went to a taping of the Colin Quinn show
haVoc Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Oh. So the actual show at 11:30 isn't live? Well, you learn something new everyday.
bob_barron Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 It is live. There's a dress rehearsal before the live show. Then the live show airs at 11:30
haVoc Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Do you get to stay for the live show as well or is that a whole different ticket? I always wondered how SNL worked.
bob_barron Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 It's a different ticket. When you do standby or get them in the mail- you either get a dress or live ticket
MillenniumMan831 Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 For the few in the Cleveland area, I was at a Big Chuck and Little John taping. Good times!
Eclipse Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Damn, I always wanted to be part of a MAD TV audience...but....I live too far to ever be part of one...
