Mr. S£im Citrus Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 (edited) SWF Smarkdown HOLT report October 27, 2003 San Antonio, TX at SBC Center Report by Terrence York of Houston, TX, Smartmarks.com reader Dark Matches: - Viktor Tarakanov beat J.T. Playa in a 45-second squash with the Bolshevik Revolution. - Todd Royal beat Tommy Nguyen in 4:39 by holding the tights. - Nathaniel Kibagami beat SJL developmental talent Daemon in 6:58 with the Fall From Grace, after no-selling a burning hammer. As he was about to leave the ring, David Blazenwing ran in from the crowd (I guess he bought a ticket, or something), and attacked Kibs. But the Silent One soon turned the tables, and gave Blazenwing the Riot of the Blood in the center of the ring, to a HUGE pop! Smarkdown: - Cyclone Comet sang the National Anthem; there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. - Erek Taylor got up after the show went to commercial and took the mike from Funyon. He demanded that Strangler come back out to meet him in the ring, and then called him everything but a child of God, demanding to stay in the ring until Strangler came back out. He spent the whole break ripping both Strangler and the crowd, which got him a TON of heat! But, about a minute before the show, Mark Stevens came down to the ring with about 10 off-duty SAPD police officers, and escorted Taylor out of the ring. - The crowd was really digging Craven after he came through in the “Don’t pull the Commissioner’s Punk Card” match, but afterwards, he got on the mike and ran down the state of Texas and the Alamo, until he got the crowd to boo him again. - After Smarkdown went off the air, Justice and Rule went back up the ramp, and Wildchild and Johnny Dangerous stood in the center of the ring staring at each other for what seemed like over three minutes. Wildchild eventually left the ring and started to walk up the ramp, but Johnny grabbed the mike from Funyon, and asked him to hold on. He asked the crowd if they’d like to see Wild and Dangerous get back together tonight, which everyone popped loud for. They even started playing “In Da Club” over the loudspeakers, which got a HUGE pop. Wildchild even walked back down the ramp, and it looked like he was going to join Johnny in the ring, but he just walked around to retrieve his chest protector and walked back up the ramp. Johnny followed a few minutes later, and Funyon got into the ring to thank everyone who came out to see the show. Best Pops. 1) Xstasy 2) Wildchild and Johnny hitting the double-dropkick to Ejiro 3) Kibs hitting the Riot of the Blood on Blazenwing. 4) Strangler 5) Craven (before he grabbed the mike) Loudest Boos 1) Erek Taylor 2) Justice & Rule 3) Va’aiga 4) Craven (after he grabbed the mike) 5) Xero (This came off as mostly X-Pac heat, though) Edited October 28, 2003 by Mr. Slim Citrus
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted October 28, 2003 Author Report Posted October 28, 2003 Figured it was the least I could do, considering...
Guest Suicide King Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Hey, it isn't your fault your partner no-showed. And you wrote a promo, so you're aces as far as I'm concerned.
TheBostonStrangler Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Dude, that was badass. Nice work, my friend. If you do this after every show, you'll become my new hero. I'm not kidding.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted October 28, 2003 Author Report Posted October 28, 2003 Is anyone else interested in me doing this again? If five people raise their hands (counting Strangler), I'll try it again for Storm.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 That reminded me -- whether it's accurate or not -- of old-school IGN Wrestling recaps. *mark out*
