Smackdown: HCTP CAW thread

Recommended Posts

Once I get the game (damn Britain and it's damn 7th November release date), I'll try and see how good my CAWs turn out.

But for now, all I request is ECW style Tony Mamaluke and Guido Maritato(Nunzio).

Quick question: what section is the 99 Crusher [Ki Krusher 99] under? I can't seem to find it..

Also, I've unlocked all of the movesets, yet I still see moves marked with "???????" in the moves section... any ideas?

Actually, no. I didn't realize that moves would be unlocked with them as well. Interesting! ;p

Did you make sure you got ALL of them? There's a 'moves misc' that's after the Japan section.

It'll be at the very top of the "all" list. Just go to Special/Finisher where it shows everything.

The remaining ????????'s are probably moves that are specific ot the Legends. Did you unlock all of the legends as well?

Good point.. I was only looking under regular grapples.. I guess the Crusher is a finisher-only type of move. ;)

Thanks.

Not yet. Four more to go. At $35,000 a pop, it's a lil tough.. especially when I'm using a cruiserweight on a roster that is mostly big guys like Lesnar and Kane. Hence, I'm getting my ass handed to me and have no dolla dolla to show for it.

Top red layer:

Design, simple, left arm, 144 (reduce 3x, rotate once) Towards shoulder on side of arm

(x:100, y: 45) shade 29, transparency -11

Design, simple, left arm, 144 (reduce 3x, rotate 3x), underneath other half, but a little to the right, so that…well, you know what the pepsi logo looks like. (x: 12, y: 3) shade 35, transparency –13

Spiderweb tattoo

Design, simple, right arm, 50 (reduce 3x) (x: -12, y: 9) transparency 100

Pant leg designs

The following steps make the parallel line on each side of CM’s shorts. So that eventually, there will be (on each leg) a line near the buttocks, then vertical letters, then another line to close it off. If you have a picture of Punk’s pants, use it as an aid here. I think I’m pretty accurate.

Design, simple, body 145. placement: tap d pad down 60 times. Tap d pad left 24 times

Design, simple, body 145. placement: tap d pad down 60 times. Tap d pad left 36 times

Design, simple, right leg 145 placement (up all the way. Make line up with 2nd line)

Pants lettering

This is to write “PUNK” vertically down his right leg in between the 2 lines. The P should be placed at the topmost part of the two lines, while the K should be placed right around the bottom of them, leaving decent space between each letter. Use your head (and a reference pic if you can find one. Rohwrestling.com has good pics of him in the photo gallery). Color for all is (x: -28, y: -78) shade –9, transparency –100.

Design, letter, body, alphabet page 5 of 16. “P” “U” “N”

Design, letter, right leg, alphabet page 5 of 16. “K”

This is to write “X X X” down his left leg in between the two lines. Follow the same rules as “PUNK” for this one. Color is (x: -28, y: -78) shade –9, transparency –100

Design, letter, body, alphabet page 5 of 16 “X”

Design, letter, left leg, alphabet page 5 of 16 “X” “X”

This is to write two x’s (one on each side) on his taped wrists over the back of his hand.

Color is (x: -28, y: -78) shade –9, transparency -100

Design, letter, left arm, alphabet page 2 of 16 “x”

Design, letter, right arm, alphabet page 2 of 16 “x”

Anyone messing around with CAW find a version of the Stevie T without a pin, or something close? I want that move for my CAW but THE LOUSY FREAKIN' THING HAS TO GO AUTOMATICALLY INTO A PIN!! That sucks.

Also, I've unlocked all of the movesets, yet I still see moves marked with "???????" in the moves section... any ideas?

Those would be Legends' moves, I believe.

Yeah, this game favors hosses and discriminates against the cruisers.

Quick cheat to make Jeff Hardy. Go under the sample figures and I think it is number 4 or 5 there is a Jeff Hardy with a hat on, take off the hat and give him longer hair. BOOM~! Jeff Hardy is complete.

Here is some pretty cool information that I found at GameFAQs about CAWs...

For people who don't have a Gameshark, Sharkport, etc. and want to be able to make CAWs with decent stats, this is probably the fastest way, although there is some set-up involved.

===========

- Create about 20 or so "Jobbers." (You only need to make one, then clone the rest.) Assign them a 1.5 to Speed, leave the rest of the stats at 1. If you really want to go the extra mile, design the most useless moveset you can think of for them.

- Make your CAW you'll actually be playing as. Bump his/her stats up to 4 across the board.

- Start a season mode. Swap as many of the REAL wrestlers out of the season as you can with your jobbers. (You should be able to make one show completely full of jobbers except for title holders. Obviously, you'll want to be playing on that show.)

- Make sure your difficulty is on SMACKDOWN! level, as you get a (x4) bonus to experience gained at that level.

- Every time you win a match, you'll get 6(x4)=24 XP. This can be hard to do, as even with a 1 Tech, the CPU reverses a LOT. But if you play a "head submission" offense, it'll only take 4-5 moves like Tombstone Piledrivers to have their head in the red. Then slap on the head submission (a simple "Neck Lock" ground grapple works wonders).

- Make sure you DON'T spend your XP if you want to make multiple CAWs of that gender. You can copy your CAW, and any unspent XP goes with them. I currently have a female CAW with 1,100 unspent XP, giving me almost enough for an 8.5 in every stat. Since it's unspent, that means after copying her, I can make CAWs with different stats without having to do this thirty-two times. However, I'm out of luck with MALE CAWs until I do this over again or find a working save file to leech. :)

...and also...

Ick. Here's some useless numbers for you, since I love to number crunch.

-----

Keeping in mind that your CAWs begin with 250 XP, if you want to be able to create a CAW with stats of ...

All "4.5s" [45 OVR] you need to earn 20 XP. :)

All "5s" [50 OVR ~Trish Stratus] you need to earn 70 XP.

All "5.5s" [55 OVR] you need to earn 120 XP.

All "6s" [60 OVR] you need to earn 180 XP.

All "6.5s" [65 OVR ~Tajiri] you need to earn 280 XP.

All "7s" [70 OVR ~Lance Storm] you need to earn 405 XP.

All "7.5s" [75 OVR ~John Cena] you need to earn 580 XP.

All "8s" [80 OVR ~Shawn Michaels] you need to earn 830 XP.

All "8.5s" [85 OVR ~Austin/Undertaker] you need to earn 1155 XP.

All "9s" [90 OVR ~Goldberg/HHH] you need to earn 1530 XP.

All "9.5s" [95 OVR] you need to earn 1980 XP.

All "10s" [100 OVR] you need to earn 2480 XP.

...I thought some of you might that that interesting just as I did.

Ok, first off this is my first CAW in HCTP. To be honest, it's the first one I've ever put any true time into out of ANY Pro. Wrestling games, so this one isn't going to be totally perfect.

I'm pretty satisfied with it overall, but a few of the facial features could use some tweaking. Either way, here is the complete formula.

Please leave me feedback, and if you can, a few suggestions as to how I can make this CAW even better. Thanks a lot guys, and enjoy!

(After you have completed the character, simply give him Move Set 55 NOMM. You can obviously change a few things around in the set if you want. Personally, I changed one of the elbow specials, I kept the Elbow Combination, and in it's place I gave him Tigerbomb 1, aka, his Tiger Driver '91.)

Nice job on Misawa.

Has anyone found a good Low Ki' yet?

I'm still working on Mr. Perfect.. the facial features are proving to be the bitchiest part of creating a wrestler... :P

After just a few hours of gameplay, I now have it so that EVERY CAW that I create from this day forward will be able to have their actual stats.

I highly suggest you doing the method that I posted above to do this. If you don't like the idea where you have to work on your opponents neck to win quickly, then just use the "Table Trick" to win your matches, you'll still get points for winning.

Simply get a table from under the ring, set it up in the turnbuckle, let the opponent get close to you, then run at the table and you'll throw yourself on it. If the opponent is standing at the far side of the ring and starts to run towards you, DO NOT counter. They will do their running attack(which will knock you onto the table). The computer opponent will then throw you through the table, getting themselves DQed.
