BlackFlagg Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Surprised nothing popped up on this, who caught the premier last night? Missed it but was able to watch it through...other means, looks promising....naturally Eliza looked smoking as usual Obviously her family will be involved a good deal in plot points as we go on Spoiler (Highlight to Read): like her sisters coke habit will surely most definately be a focal point in the future So what dud everyone else think?
dubq Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 So what dud everyone else think? I think that little Freudian slip pretty much describes the future of this series... She should've taken the Faith spin-off when she had the chance.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 All I have to add is that she runs really fast.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I can't stand when Dushku runs...she runs too intensely and it just looks silly.
razazteca Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Zach Galafoaiweuroiagus was in it as her co-worker! I think the show can go 8 episodes.
Dr. Tom Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 All I have to add is that she runs really fast. Girls should always run slow, like they used to on Baywatch...
Anakin Flair Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Damn, I missed the premier. and they're already pre-empting it next week to show Dr. Doolittle 2. Shows you how much confidence they have in the show.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Found this somewhere regarding the overnight ratings: The premiere of "Tru Calling" on FOX averaged 3.3/5, tying the first hour of "WWE Smackdown!" on UPN.
Ravenbomb Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 FUCK! I missed it. Is it going to be on again before the next episode?
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Zach Galafoaiweuroiagus was in it as her co-worker! I think the show can go 8 episodes. Zach and Eliza are the only reason I'm going to watch the second episode.
Anakin Flair Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Another thing that ticked me off, there was no advertising for it. Sure, there were teaser blurbs all month, but all they said was "Comming soon!" No date was given. The only way I knew it was on was by glancing in my Entertainment Weekly and seeing Eliza's pic in a caption box in the TV listings section. IT's obvious that they are setting this show up to fail.
Ravenbomb Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 if I forget to watch it again I'll just wait for the DVD. It seems like no matter how a show does these days, it gets a DVD release
Dangerous A Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 While Eliza 0wns my face when she's on, the concept of this show sounded dumb from the get go. She would still get my attention over the lame ass SD that was on this week, but both were trumped by LeBron taking on the suns. Eliza > LeBron but.. LeBron > Tru Calling
Guest EQ Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I like the show. I think it has a cool concept. I don't know if I prefer it to a Faith spin-off, but I'll watch it for however long it lasts and I'd get it on DVD
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I liked the show, but it kinda irked how they recapped everything real quick after every commercial break. It takes away time from the storyline.
Guest EQ Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 They only did that once I thought. They only did it so that people who tuned in late would have some idea of what was going on
Guest The Notorious CRD Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I finally got around to watching this show yesterday (had a ton of stuff stored on my DVR) and I have to say that I liked it. There's obviously some forward thinking going on with the show and I hope it last long enough to resolve at least part of it. My one problem with the show? Too much running! If Tru is going to run around saving people, she really should get a car. But yeah, I enjoyed the show and Eliza is hot as ever, so I'll keep wathing for as long as its around.
The Dames Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 So, besides hearing from the dead...her super power is RUNNING! Excellent. The show as alright (Tru's cokehead sister is HOT though), but it wasn't NASTY. If I don't catch anymore eps, I won't be too upset. Hopefully, it gets better. Dames
Guest EQ Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 This show reminds me of another show that was on between 1996 and 2000. It was called Early Edition, it was about a guy who got tomorrow's newspaper a day early and would go around saving people. It was a really cool show, and the concept is similar to this show.
