Mrnoitaull 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 OK I have just seen what I think is the most amazing commercial I have and ever will see. The commercial I am refering to is the Nike Grid Iron commerical with the complete CGI footballgame/arena. With the Vick jersey glowing, snow, wicked camera shots and the freakishly real players I couldn't help but try not to bust a blood vessel. Anyway , what is the greatest commercial you've ever seen. What heck provide as many as you like ( literally).

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 There's one currently playing up here in Canada: It shows the first American on the moon. He tlaks to Houston, all happy etc. and then gets ready to hit the golf ball. Suddenly a puck hits his helmet cracking it. The camera zooms over to show a Canadian on the moon shooting the first hockey puck. And its a beer commercial. I nearly died of laughter whne I first saw that. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I think it was during the Super Bowl a couple years ago, for Monster.com, where all they had was a monkey jumping up and down. That was gold.
WrestlingDeacon 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Robert Loggia for orange juice. There's this little kid at a breakfast table and his parents can't get him to drink his orange juice. "Ok, little Billy, if you don't believe that drinking your orange juice is good for you who would you believe?" "I don't know Robert Loggia?" Robert Loggia then walks into the kitchen and shoves the glass of juice in Billy's hand. "Drink your juice, Billy. It's good." "Wow! It's Robert Loggia! Thanks Mr. Loggia!" That is the most ingenius things humans have ever created.

Guest Smues Report post Posted November 11, 2003 AFLAC!!! And besides the duck there's always a commercial with Godzilla and Godzookie running around wrecking havoc, and at the end it turns out to be a message from the ad council promoting being a dad. Priceless.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Two of my favorite commercials, which are also two of the funniest things I've ever seen, are actually running right now. The first one is the Juicy Fruit commercial for their new series of gum (it fucking rocks by the way, oh yes it does) where they show a kid's party, and all of a sudden the donkey Pinata comes a live making all sorts of sounds. I about die every time I see that one. The other, I forget what it's for, but a guy asks someone else "Were you raised by wolves?" and he answers with "Yeah", I believe that's how it goes. Then after he answers, it shows a flashback of him as a grown man nursing on a wolf teet with a whole pack of them. It's quite possibly the greatest thing ever. OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Actually I think its Quiznos, not Subway.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Another I love is one from a number of years ago. If I remember correctly, it was for Starburst Fruit Twists. It shows this red piece of candy, just being controlled by someone's hands. He goes "see my wiggle", then does a wiggle, "see my twist", then does a twist", "SEE MY FORBIDDEN DANCE", and then as it shakes about it sounds as if the damn thing is having an orgasm. I only saw that version a handfull of times before they edited it down to just the first part, heh. I'd LOVE to see that again, I wish I could download it or something. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 One commercial I like now is a FexEx one that plays during NFL games where the punchline is "FedEx shipping, so easy even an MBA can do it..."

Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted November 11, 2003 The Mountain Dew commercial with the dude from Wild America doing a voice over of the human/Ram clashing
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 The Canadian commercial from 2002 where a guy says he's from Canada and the dumb American says she knew a Glenn from Canada, and asked if he knew him from his office. He replies that Office Glenn is dead. Someone at a Raw last year had a "Office Glenn (Down Arrow)" sign, that was great. There was a commercial that I don't remember all that well as I've only seen it once, where hundreds of guys dressed up as sperm run through the street towards a woman, so the guy pulls out a condom and they all go away. It was shown before a movie. I also have a commercial for the Mario Brothers game, where Luigi keeps yelling "Maaaaario where aaaare you!".. it's hilariously cheesey. Some of those new Barq's commercials are pretty good.

DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 (edited) - the "Running of the Squirrels" one they had during the 2000(?) Super Bowl - the Terry Tate, Office Linebacker series (especially the first) - the Radio City Christmas Spectacular commercials (they always get me in the holiday mood; if it wasn't for Christmas -- it would be meh.) - the New York Mets commercials they had in 2001 involving NYers giving Mike Piazza batting tips and Benny Agbayani and Tsuyoshi Shinjo's fun in mistranslation - the Yankees/Adidas spots (what the hell is ANSKY?) Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I pick Cog, Honda Accord's real time Rube Goldberg chain reaction. It's just really cool. You can watch it here. THANK YOU! I was wondering if I'd have to be the first one to mention this. The Nissan Maxima commercial from Super Bowl XXXII where the pigeons chase after the car, rapid-firing shit at it while "Highway to the Danger Zone" plays in the background was the funniest one that came to mind. WrestlingDeacon 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 There's one that used to air as a sponsor of Jeopardy at the end of the show. It was for some canned yam company. It had Sammy Kershaw singing "Sweet and tasty, they come in a can. I'm here to tell you they're one heck of a yam." I think it was Serta matresses that had a series of commercials about the dreams you would have on them. It was a voiceover saying stuff like "And everything is perfect, outside of the fact that there are two Mickey Rooneys." And they cut to these twin Mickey Rooneys dressed like the phantom of the opera. And another one is about having breakfast on the beach with "your mother, your high school sweetheart and Cornelius from Planet of the Apes."
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Oh, and the worst commercial would have to be the WPLJ one with our favorite white-boy former WWF announcer Todd Pettengill.

Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 The commercial for that new Strappleberry gum where people are busting out of file cabinets starts out alright, then evolves into greatness as a guy crashes through a fake skyline dressed as a building. Then his scream when the guy comes out of the cooler...priceless.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 The funniest commercial is the one for Mayostard where the people are slaves to getting mustard and mayonaise out of two jars, and then the Mayostard Abe Lincoln bust in with a machine gun and says "Let's get the hell outta here!" Classic.
