Austin's Return Storyline

Recommended Posts

The following news comes partially from the Torch Newsletter:

While WWE is working hard to keep the plans for Steve Austin's return from leaking, we do already know that everyone who knows the entire angle is said to be very pleased with where it's going. Austin has also reacted very positively to where his character is going.

Right now, the word backstage is that it won't be something that makes the Survivor Series stip look worthless, although the perception to that could change when it plays out on TV. Either way, going into the angle, expect Bischoff to maintain his gimmick of being unfair to various RAW superstars.

I dunno...PERHAPS Jericho just might use his favor for Austin after all like someone proposed.

Jericho... asking to rehire Austin? That would make the whole damn angle a huge waste of time.

The proposed plan was that it would involve Jericho showing Trish how much he loves her or something...It was a long good detailed plan.

There is no way that it would end up being anything but horrible.

The entire POINT of the last few months for Jericho/Austin was to have Jericho finally have Austin taken care of.

For him to just bring him back, for a shitty reason like "proving his love to Trish", would enrage me.

I usually like most stuff, but that would be too much even for me.

Just read this proposed storyline of Jericho reinstating Austin. I honestly don't think that Austin's return would be that meticulously planned out. From what I figure, Heyman will start crapping on Austin somehow, and Austin will come on SD and stun Heyman.... see their ECW connection, the Alliance connection... it just might work... ahh I'm fresh out of ideas anyways.

I'd figure Austin is going over to SD. I guess he's getting ready for his last match at WM 20, hopefully against Hogan. I can't think of anybody else for him to face and besides, it looks like

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Goldberg Vs. Lesnar is gonna happen after all so no Austin Vs. Goldberg for you guys ;)

In other words, he's going to look invincible.

He's just going to return...

...what, you expect them to put effort into it?

He has been banned/suspended like 10 times since 1998, and the reason to bring him back has been paper thin 90% of the time..........

Hey, I'm glad someone thinks I made some sense in my potential storyline! I really think that's the way it should be planned out. Everyone has their opinions that they feel strongly about, and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. So what. I don't post here often but I feel strongly about the direction of this storyline since it involves one of my favorite workers who I feel is one of the most deserving talents of a well planned out storyline, especially if it will help get him over as a huge face, which I see the only logical way possible. But hey, yeah, I'm probably wrong like everyone else is proven to be since WWE hardly ever puts this much planning into storylines anymore, but it's just my opinion and how I think/hope it turns out. For some reason though, I really think they're gonna do something huge with Jericho and Austin since WMXX is around the corner. Survivor Series can't be the end of their story. I really believe it's just the beginning. WWE started the build up between Jericho/Michaels around this same time last year so I believe the company has faith in Jericho to deliver in many ways, especially after the 5 star match he and HBK had at XIX and giving Jericho his own segment, The Highlight Reel. What WWE needs right now is top babyfaces so the fans can have people to cheer for. They keep mentioning how they want to turn their company around. I believe they've waken up a bit by finally starting with Cena. Raw needs a huge face besides Goldberg. Jericho is the only other talented full time wrestler on their roster with the greatest potential.

My little "storyline" is posted in the topic "Chris and Trish sitting in a tree" started by Choken One on the 2nd or 3rd page for anyone interested.

If it gets Jericho over as a huge face and potentially attracts more female viewers as someone else mentioned, I'm all for it. HOPEFULLY this time around if Jericho does turn face, he can prove that he can be just as entertaining as a babyface as he is as a heel. I believe he can. I personally didn't really enjoy his promos against Stephanie as a face the last time around, but alot of fans sure did.

I'm too lazy to read everything, so pardon me if this has already been said:

Maybe Jericho would use his favor to get Austin re-hired (not as GM, just back on Raw)...because he wants to beat Austin in a match.

That would be the smart option, so WWE won't do it.

Nah, I'll be fair and say that the booking on RAW this week was stellar.

I still say they should bring Austin back under the Mr. America mask.

"If you're following the four demandments of eat right..."

WHAT!

"Work out..."

WHAT!

"Take your vitamins..."

WHAT!

"Believin' in yourself..."

WHAT!

"And you know whatcha gonna do when Mr. America runs wild on you, gimme a hell yeah!"

Absolutely, it'll involve Michaels in some way.

I think I see this happening also.

That's what I was thinking. Austin stunning about 20 people, drinking beer, mugging for the crowd, repeat on every Raw for about two months.

How long do you think it will take for Austin's popularity to diminish? How long before the marks get sick of him like they did with Hogan back in the 90s?

This seems like a plausible storyline to follow, assuming they keep going with the Austin/Jericho feud. We'll know if Jericho starts talking about Austin down the road or something such as that.

I think the whole Jericho/Trish storyline is going to be a swerve, but it won't end like most of us think with Jericho playing Trish. It's Jericho, so you know he has to be made a fool. No face turn for him.

Trish begins asking Jericho to use his "favor" to re-hire Austin and some how it will play out with Trish actually being a plant by Austin to use Jericho and screw with him.

Austin comes out looking like a genius. Trish comes out looking great and maybe Lita will be part of this with Christian and him and Jericho end up looking like the typical goofy heels who get screwed over and end up crying in the middle of the ring with JR screaming "JERICHO GOT HIS JUST DO! THE RATTLESNAKE OUT SMARTED JERICHO AND THE CREEPY LITTLE BASTARD! AUSTIN, AUSTIN, AUSTIN, AUSTIN, GOOD NIGHT FOLKS!!!!!!"

My prediction:

Batista continues to talk his shit, and demands that Bischoff hand over Austin to him. Bischoff refuses, leading to horrible beatings and Kane being depushed and turning face. Batista threatens to throw Trish off the stage, prompting Jericho to demand that Bischoff follow his demands, Bischoff accepts. Austin returns at a PPV match, and destroys Batista with no effort. A feud starts, and somewhere along the line Batista is taken out with a Septic truck hose, leading to the nickname of Craptista.

They should just ship Austin to SD as a wayh for Heyman to make life miserable for Vince and be done with it. Keep him off of Raw and let Austin bury different people for a change...
