King Kamala 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 My dad, brother and myself (Being an idiot) have taped over numerous Raws from 94-96, I wish I didn't but I think I still got a few left on tape (One where the featured match is Yokozuna- Randy Savage and another that's featured match is...ugh...Sid Vs Justin Hawk Bradshaw for the WWF world title nonetheless). Summerslam 94, Survivor Series 96, Backlash and Judgement Day 00 and No Mercy 01 have also been taped over. I also taped over numerous Nitros and Thunders from around late 99-early 00ish and Superbrawl 2000 but those tapes can't really be considered good wrestling. So ever have some assclown tape over your god damn wrestling tapes?
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted November 22, 2003 i accidently taped over Summerslam 98, and my family members have taped over numerous good Raws and Smackdowns that had the Raw quad match, benoit vs austin, angle vs benoit cage match, tlc 3, eddie vs edge from smackdown, etc.

Tawren 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Stampede Wrestling used to run weekly on A-Channel in 99-00. I had almost all the eps on tape. I had them in a pile under the VCR, all clearly labeled and everything. And then, little by little, without my knowing it, my sister used them to tape crap about the Backstreet Boys. When I finally noticed it, nothing was left. I hate her...

Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 Don't remember the specifics of what was taped over it, but here's my list: Wrestlemania V. Wrestlemania VII. Wrestlemania VIII. Summerslam 1991. Survivor Series 1989. Survivor Series 1991. Survivor Series 1994. 05.24.2001 Smackdown (TLC III). 03.18.2002 RAW (night after X-8 - Brock's debut). 06.17.2002 RAW (Rock's return). 10.07.2002 RAW (RAW Roulette - TLC IV). Luckily, I've recently downloaded the entire episode of RAW Roulette. I haven't retrieved any of those PPV's yet, though.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 I've had various late 90's WCW PPV's taped over, though most of the ones that were taped over weren't that good anyway, luckily the better ones have managed to survive to this day.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 I was taping Dolemite a few weeks ago and I was watching the tape I was taping over just to see what was on the tape. I saw about two or three minutes of Jung Dragons Vs Three Count from an old Nitro and started getting excited- until all of a sudden it cut into an old episode of the local news where my dad was interviewed talking about the New England Patriots. DAMN MY DAD FOR WANTING HIS 15 SECONDS OF FAME DOCUMENTED! I found a tape a while back that had Game 6 of the 86 World Series and a Raw that had a main event of Diesel Vs Virgil. Ah the ball flowing through Bill Buckner's legs followed by Kevin Nash's flowing locks....what a torture device that tape is.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 More shizzle than I could care to remember Largely because I was a poor kid and only had 2-3 tapes to use for taping stuff, so re-use happened all the time No PPVs (I still have WM's VI-X on tape, back when that was the one PPV my parents would let me get) lost, but no doubt a plethora of Saturday morning shows, WCWSN, RAWs, Nitros, plus a couple of CoCs and SNMEs Somebody taped over the episode of Monday Nitro from 1997 in which I am prominently on camera, alternating between the Disco Inferno dance and the Alex Wright dance. For some reason I'm real curious to see a 10 y/o TCR dancing on Nitro

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted November 23, 2003 Someone taped over King of the Ring 95. .. And just replace "someone" with "I".. ..and "taped over" with "set fire to". I just imagined Lionel Hutz (Simpsons character) saying that. Hutz: Someone kinda accidentally taped over KOTR 95. Well replace someone with I and accidentally taped over with deliberately set fire to.

Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 My mom used to make me use old Prime Time Wrestling/Wrestling Challenge videos for the majority of the WWF PPVs I got from around 1994 to 1998. Her reasoning was that I never watched them (she had me there) and so buying new tapes was pointless. Being younger at the time, I went along with it, figuring that they were just going to sit there. They prolly still would be doing that today, but at least I could know that I have the option of watching them or not.
treble 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 I once accidently taped over an episode of Raw that had a really good Austin/Shamrock match with an episode of WOW. I keep all my wrestling tapes in my room, away from my family so they can't 'accidently' use one to record an episode of CSI or something. I also remove the safety tab from most of them once they fill up so I don't hit the record button on the remote by accident. Something similar to this, a friend of mine borrowed a copy of Starrcade (either '90 or '91, I can't remember), but in the middle of some match, it cuts to Goldberg beating Hogan for the WCW title on Nitro, shows his celebration, then goes back to the Starrcade match. Guest JumpinJackFlash Report post Posted November 24, 2003 A while back I let my friend borrow Backlash 2003. When I got the tape back, and watched it, I noticed that the first part of the PPV was taped over. His little brother recorded him playing a NASCAR game. The matches that were taped over were Los Guerreros/WGTT and Dudleys/ RVD and Kane, the 2 best matches on the PPV. Why should I bother to watch this ever again?
