OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 WWE.com also advertises that the new issue of Smackdown Magazine (Formerly WWE Magazine) will feature an interview with Randy Savage. This will be the first time in close to a decade that Savage has been involved with any WWE-related project after he left the company to join WCW. 1wrestling.com

OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 I was trying to read about this on 411mania, but none of their links will open. They also have two links up for "Jeff Hardy returning to WWE?" and "People concerned about John Cena's push." Here's the Cena one: Many in WWE are concerned with the very obvious face turn for John Cena. Eddy Guerrero lost a lot of his popularity when WWE did a similar turn with him. Some feel that Cena's turn should have been more gradual, ala Steve Austin and The Rock. Michael Hayes had pushed for this idea and an angle was shot to support this idea last week on Smackdown, but it ended up being edited out. OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Here's the Hardy one: Statement #1: Rob Van Dam is the greatest hardcore wrestler ever. Matt: False. In my mind, Mick Foley stands out as the greatest ever just because he did it here, and this is where things are remembered in the wrestling business, being the biggest company there's ever been in the history of the world. Statement #2: Jeff Hardy has wrestled his last WWE match. Matt: False. Jeff has the passion for this business running through his veins. I think one day Jeff will be tired of being burnt out, he'll get his head spun on straight, and he'll be back. Statement #3: Comic books is the best way to pass time on the road. Matt: False. Reading comics is fine, but I don't know if it's the best way. I don't have a great example, but reading comic books isn't No. 1. Statement #4: There are way too many reality shows on TV these days. Matt: True. Reality shows did really well, and like everything else, they flooded the market, so now it's saturated. But some are still fun. Statement #1: Rob Van Dam is the greatest hardcore wrestler ever. RVD: True. I added so much credibility to the Hardcore Title that it offset the balance, and they had to get rid of it. Statement #2: Jeff Hardy has wrestled his last WWE match. RVD: False. There are way too many Jeff Hardy fans that I see everyday who can't wait to see him back. Statement #3: Comic books is the best way to pass time on the road. RVD: True. For someone like me, it's a great world to visit. And you can't always count on the hotels having the adult channels. (Laughs) Statement #4: There are way too many reality shows on TV these days. RVD: True. Why the hell am I supposed to care about what some Joe Schmuck had for breakfast? Guest Vitamin EC Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Maybe I'm missing something but I don't get that Eddie comment, the guy is getting huge reactions every week, I don't remember it being any better when he was a heel. Maybe his reactions haven't improved since his face turn but they certainly haven't reduced. Back on the topic at hand, should be an interesting interview. haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Thanks, buddy! I like those questions. Is this going to be a every week thing? Last week they had Angle and Nash. P.S. the new WWE.com set up sucks nuts.

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Gee, I wonder if he'll badmouth Hulk. Hehe...and with the current WWE/Hulk relations, I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

1234-5678 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 If they do sign Savage, i wonder who he would face at WMXX. Savage vs. HBK could be watchable if Mach gets rid of the ring rust first.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Actually, Eddie was over big time THEN they turned him heel to which he was over even more (fans didn't accept it). They then did nothing with him and didn't capitalize on his popularity by setting him up for a ME run so he is where he is today... still in the same position he was around WM time. Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Savage vs. Hogan would be epic. Savage back in the WWE? Man, I'd hurt myself from marking out.

Guest Megatron Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Silly fucks. Savage and Cena will feud over who's rap CD is better. This does sound logical, but since when has Vince done the logical thing?
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Except that Savage's rap album is the worst rap album since SHAQ FU. He and Cade can feud over the flying elbow.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Silly fucks. Savage and Cena will feud over who's rap CD is better. This does sound logical, but since when has Vince done the logical thing? He might go the other "logical" route. Like I posted earlier...Orton's being plugged as the Legend Killer (making me wonder if WWE is stealing from E-Feds. That's like the 10th idea or so that I used in an E-Fed that WWF/E or WCW has used. I used it with David Flair and he beat his dad, Bret Hart, and Steve Austin to prove it...but anyway) and Savage is a legend in a way. So...Savage vs. Orton would also make sense. However, since it's in Smackdown magazine, it makes me think that Mach would go to Smackdown if he went to WWE.
Guest Megatron Report post Posted November 25, 2003 However, since it's in Smackdown magazine, it makes me think that Mach would go to Smackdown if he went to WWE. He'll probably feud with Vince, then.

KTID 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Well, maybe you didn't recognise the paraphrasing Matt: ...the greatest ever just because he did it here, and this is where things are remembered in the wrestling business, being the biggest company there's ever been in the history of the world. What's so idiotic about that? WWE is the only fed that matters. It's been that way for at least 5 years now. Sounds to me like a guy who's very, very happy to be working in his dream job. KTID 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Sorry, but he blatantly took a shot at RVD *AND* ECW by saying that RVD doesn't matter because he was in ECW. To me that is bullshit, but hey i'm probably biased because I hate WWE.
