Guest ArchoanJB Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Hey, I went to my local Wal-greens and like many people have found many good 2000-2002 DVD's that are from the old WWF. They are 5.99 normally (which is a good deal by itself), but tommorow monring they are 2 for 5 dollars. thats really impresssive. I'm going to go back and pick up the res tof hte ones I missed or didn't have money for. As an example I picked up Rebellion 01 (AWESOME card), Summerslam 00, and Vengence 01
tpww7 Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 What a day to have no extra money to spend because I'm going to ROH at night...

Or is it a reference to everyone's favourite Wal-Mart?
WrestlingDeacon Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Wal-Greens is a pharmacy owned by Wal-Mart. They're your standard uber-pharmacy with a lot of random items. I doubt if they extend beyond America and Canada.

razazteca Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I do not think Walmart would have the same deal. I only notice that some DVDs like Daredevil would be $11 tomorrow and that is about it.

Chuck Woolery Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Why are we hyphenating Walgreens? It's all one word, kids.
MrRant Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 http://www.walgreens.com/about/history/default.jhtml Started by Charles R. Walgreen, Sr.
Guest Choken One Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I do believe that Walmart brought it though... Or maybe that's CVS.
MrRant Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I do believe that Walmart brought it though... Or maybe that's CVS. Walgreens is huge. Walmart doesn't own it. CVS doesn't either because Walgreens is the biggest pharamacy.
Guest Choken One Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 No...I meant Wal-Marts owns CVS. I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart has an branch of their own...
Slayer Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I didn't even know I could buy DVDs at Walgreens
MrRant Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 No...I meant Wal-Marts owns CVS. I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart has an branch of their own... No. Walmart has it's own pharamacy inside of their stores. Much cheaper.
Guest Choken One Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I didn't even know I could buy DVDs at Walgreens Me either. I've only gone there for misc. shit like Gum or Notebooks.
DerangedHermit Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Wal-Greens is a pharmacy owned by Wal-Mart. They're your standard uber-pharmacy with a lot of random items. I doubt if they extend beyond America and Canada. They're not owned by Walmart. Walgreens was started in 1901 by Charles Walgreen in Chicago, while the 1st Walmart didn't pop up until 1962. The only other stores Walmart owns are (duh) Sam's Clubs. The Walgreen's closest to me has the 2/$5 deal, but YMMV with other stores.
Guest Choken One Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I'd Mark if by accident they have like WMXIX and Vengence 2003 there for the sale. But I'm sure it's shit like Judgement Day 2002 and KOTR 02.
Guest Choken One Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 HOLY FUCK I did a store locator and I have 16 Wal-Greens within a 25 mile radius. Add that to the 20 Wal-Marts and 50 CVS and 10 krogers... Alotta Fucking sick people around these parts.

Downhome Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I don't have a Walgreens near me. The only one that I could even locate NEAR me is about 45-50 miles away.
Guest Gatornibs Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 A big fuck you goes out to the person who didn't tell me it was 2 for 5. I bought 4 today for $6 each. Vengeance 2001, Rock: Just Bring It, Unforgiven 2001, and NWO Back in Black. They also had No Mercy 2001 and Hulk Still Rules. This was in FL. so in the last week K-Mart/Walgreens combined have had those plus Summerslam 99, Hardy Boyz Leap of Faith, Invasion, and WWF Action, and Rebellion I'm looking for the Survivor Series 01, Summerslam 2000, No Way Out 2002, WWF Hardcore, and Triple H: The Game, cuz they're the only ones I've read about on the 2 threads I haven't found yet!
Matt Young Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Hmm... my stepdad's a Walgreens manager, so I have been to all 5 stores in this area, but I have NEVER seen a wrestling DVD. If the deal is going on here, I'd love to pick up some of the shit you guys mentioned, especially Hulk Still Rules. On top of that, I get a 15% employee discount at the store.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I found "Its Our Time" at Walgreens, but haven't picked it up yet. Other movies on DVD or video for $4: The Chinese Connection The Gold Rush The Lost World The Rock(not WWE) Bunch of Cheesy Kung Fu Films Some film about people in apesuits from the 50s
