Guest CronoT Report post Posted December 1, 2003 We're also talking about a station that has Star Trek: The Next Generation as 35% of it's programming. Ah, feel the hate....
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted December 1, 2003 DerangedHermit, I sure as fuck hope that you were kidding about wanting Nathan Jones VS Mark Henry... The first Raw and SmackDown! Cross-brand match? Well, there have been two, the obvious one being the Royal Rumble and the second being at last year's Unforgiven - 3-Minute Warning VS Billy & Chuck, if that counts... I can't remember much about the actual match itself, although I do have the DVD. The stipulations sucked - as if we're going to see Stephanie McMahon perform real "Hot Lesbian Action" ("HLA") there... I won't even talk about Rikishi's little part in it... And who the hell wouldn't want to kiss Stephanie McMahons ass, literally? That win did nothing for 3-Minute Warning (Rosey and Jamal), because if it had, Jamal wouldn't've been let go, and Rosey wouldn't be being fucked up the ass regarding his gimmick like he is now. I would've fired them both... If the entire WWE fanbase consisted of IWC marks, then Raw probably wouldn't be up there in the Top 15... Hang on, yes it would, but its credibility wouldn't be nearly as high, as least, not as it currently is...
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Oh, and why the hell do you get a 'Raw' ranking for a higher Post Count than 'SmackDown!?' ...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Am I the only one who finds having a WRESTLING match (taped as well) for a Video Game kinda out of place? Woudn't it be more sensible to have a Smackdown HCTP hype package with various wrestlers showing it... Hell...Have like a MaddenBowl or something...take 4 guys from Raw and Smackdown Booker, Steven, Jericho and Matt Vs Spanky, Mysterio, Edge and Angle The resident goofballs. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Have they made a porn called "Star Fuck: The Next Penetration" yet? Cause that would rule: "Dr. Crushme, time to go to Warp 69... engage.."
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Booker, Steven, Jericho and Matt Vs Spanky, Mysterio, Edge and Angle The resident goofballs. Any video game team with Richards on it is unfairly slanted since he seems to be the only guy in the fed to find the time to play video games way too much. Replace him with Helms and you have fairly even teams and good entertainment.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 There was 2 Raw vs Smackdown matches at King Of The Ring 02.

I like Star Trek: TNG, but I was commenting on what the person I quoted was alluding to. He appearently has a dislike for it.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 The first match has been announced: Also at the San Jose tapings will be a special Chris Jericho (RAW) vs. Rey Mysterio (SD) match taped for Thursday night's Spike TV video games award show. A second match for that show will be taped either tonight at RAW or tomorrow at SD. 411mania.com
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Nah, I like STNG (how do you think I know it's on so much 0, I just don't think a "Network for Men" trying to build it's image as an 'alternative' network, should have Star Trek for the majority of their programming... SPIKEtv is still run by goofs - hence the decision for allowing a wrestling match at their award show.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted December 3, 2003 According to Meltz..the other match is Trish vs Victoria Bra and Panties. $20 says that the loser wears the stupid underwear that reveals nothing. geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Of course, thats what always happens. WWE is so stupid they don't know anything about what their fans want. It was laughable seeing Jackie get stripped down into panties that would make her normal outfits look risque. Meanwhile, Rico gets stripped down into a thong. I live in a sort of frat house with about 20 other guys and as soon as that match came on everyone laughed because the outcome was known in advance. These are guys who regularly go to strip clubs and such, who you could see T&A to. Not to mention the fact that they are marks. If even the marks don't believe they will see anything risque how are they supposed to sell their product. WWE is so out of touch it is unbelievable.

OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 I'm not complaining since Trish/Victoria>any Smackdown Diva, although Dawn Marie is close.
Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Um, do most of you actually think there's gonna be actual matches at this VGA? Oh wait I forgot, Meltz said it would happen, therefore we must abandon all logic and remember that two wrestling matches are being taped to air, ON A VIDEO GAME AWARD SHOW.... Argh.... tpww7 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Syntax: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio match was actually taped last night live at the Video Games Awards in Las Vegas, which air Thursday night at 9 p.m. on Spike TV. The WWE segments will be airing after 10 p.m. so as not to compete with Smackdown. The show was at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with more than 5,000 people there. Al Snow and Jonathan Coachman did the announcing. Jenna Jameson was the ring announcer for both of the matches. The way it was described to me, Jericho and Mysterio put on an okay segment ending with Rey diving on Jericho outside the ring. Trish Stratus and Victoria ran in and immediately pulled off each others' shirts and wrestled in their bras, ending when Stratus pinned Victoria. The crowd liked it. Show itself was said to be overall pretty raunchy with Spade and Funkmaster Flex. (thanks to Tom Blattler) From da Meltz.
