I was just wondering how many of you are fans of the Fire Pro series.

I have Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (the US version- think it's 2, might be 1, not sure) for the GBA and Fire Pro Wrestling Z import for PS2. I haven't played either one in a while, but they're both fun, I guess.

My favorite one so far is Fire Pro. Wrestling D for the Dreamcast, I play that all the time and will never get tired of it.

 

I just got a GBA:SP, so I'll be picking up FPA2 pretty soon. Oh yes, FPW action on the go, it'll be wonderfull.

Part One has modes of play such as must work Strong Style or Kings Way or Lucha Libre or American.

In the sequel, there isn't a Audience Mode. That mode is the work of some genius.

The feeling of seeing a default wrestler having 7 stars under his name, meaning that you have gone through every major pro wrestling style, and passed, is great. My brother even passed the Lucha Style with Rikido, of all people!

 

Other problems with the sequel is that you have to start with 10 guys from WWE ONLY.

Then, you must play through Ironman Mode several times to get all 200 wrestlers.

It's more annoying than challenging.

 

Not to forget: No 5-on-5 tournaments, no league and no round-robin tournament.

 

Trust us, Downhome, buy Fire Pro 1 instead of 2.

Why in the hell would they do that to a sequel? What was the big selling point for part two? More wrestlers, any added gameplay aspects, etc...?

I have the original Fire Pro Wrestling for GBA, I owned the Saturn's 6 Men Scramble for quite a while, and I really need to get Fire Pro D, but I'm not sure where to pick it up. I'm all set, though, got a DC-X to play it even.

And if I'm not mistaken, the reason Fire Pro 2 lacks stuff that Fire Pro A has is because the Japanese version had a Management Mode, while that was removed from the American version. So bleh.

I own Fire Pro D for Dreamcast, and I love it. There was a period of time where I'd play for a couple hours a day. I also have the ROMs of Fire Pro Advance 1 and 2, both American and Japanese. Once I get a Game Boy Player for my new GameCube, I'll purchase the actual games (or at least the 2nd one).

Try therage.com, they might still be selling the Dreamcast version. The FPZ is technically better (more moves, season mode, etc.), but FPD has all the American wrestlers unlocked and with right uniform color. For those who aren't in the know, FPZ's American wrestlers had to be made in the CAW feature, which is amazing, probably the best CAW feature in history in any game.

FPZ is a 2D game, thankfully. Spike only venture into 3D wrestling was not a good one. Here is the site for FPZ. As far as FPD goes, this is the BEST site for everything about Firepro D.

Sadly, the chances of FPZ being released outside of Japan are about as likely to happen as Mark Henry performing a moonsault.

I have both Fire Pro's for my GBA Emulator and I like the first one better.

 

The second one didn't have as good of graphics and less options. Unless you get the Japanese version that has manager mode.

 

Fire Pro for the GBA alone has one of the best CAW systems I've ever seen. I was amazed at the CAW's I could make.

D'oh! I forgot about KOC since I've never played it. I was referring to Spike's FIRST 3D wrestling game, whose name presently escapes me.
