Guest Max Peter David Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 It's pretty obvious that is Russ Haas were alive, he'd have Shelton's spot right now. So, what would Shelton be involved with? Would he be a singles wrestler perhaps with an Intercontinental title reign or US Title reign? Or a Velocity jobber for the hosses? I'd say, he'd have a fairly decent role on the Raw brand, maybe in Teddy Long's stable. He'd currently be in Mark Henry's position, mini-feuding with Booker T.
the pinjockey Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 I think that Shelton would be right where he is now and that Charlie would be in a different spot. Having the history he did with Brock Lesnar, made Shelton necessary on Team Angle. No matter who else was with Shelton, he would give Team Angle the air of legitimacy about knowing Lesnar and his weaknesses. I think eventually the Haas' would basically be what the Bashams are right now. Just they're brothers so just throw them out there as a team and just make them as generic as everyone else.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Shelton would still be on Heat with the craptacular theme music. It's All About The Benjamins~!
Mecha Mummy Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Yep. If Russ hadn't died odds are Shelton would have stayed on Heat with his lame theme music and utter lack of gimmick.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 No matter who else was with Shelton, he would give Team Angle the air of legitimacy about knowing Lesnar and his weaknesses. Yeah, that concept fell through, huh? Did Benjamin or any TA member ever, ever get any kind of advantage over Brock?
Guest StevieNightHeat Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Shelton would be Backin' the Mack.
the pinjockey Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Yeah, TA prepped Angle about the SSP, so Angle knew to move out of the way of it. That's all I've got.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Yeah, I'd need someone to tell me to move out of the way when I see a 300 pounder flipping in the air over my head.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 First of all, excuse me for sounding stupid and/or rude, but what happened to this fellow, Ruass Haas? I would agree that the Haas Brothers would be a strong possibility, and that possibly Shelton would be feuding with Brock(it's possible), OR, maybe teaming with Brock again as the Stretching Crew. That would be neat, because then you'd have a really good tag threat, but that would mean Benoit/Angle for the title, and I think WWF/E doesn't want to have an ex cruiserweight as their champ. At least not since Jericho.

At least not since Jericho. Russ died of a heart attack as result of a coronary heart disease at the age of 27. I had a chance to see him and his brother in my state at an indy show but passed up on the chance. Shortly after, Russ was out of wrestling because of his heart.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 First of all, excuse me for sounding stupid and/or rude, but what happened to this fellow, Ruass Haas? Russ Haas was Charlie's brother. While they were in OVW, Russ died somehow. They even mentioned it on WWF TV. That's why Charlie's wrist-tape has the name "Russ" on it.
AndrewTS Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Yeah, I'd need someone to tell me to move out of the way when I see a 300 pounder flipping in the air over my head. Pfft--WWE bills him at 290, so he's probably a legit 250 or so. I think probably Shelton would be doing what Orlando Jordan is doing now, but probably would be regularly on SD. Wouldn't have a decent gimmick yet, though.

Masked Man of Mystery Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Thanks for clearing that up. Sad though.
Guest bort Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 For a while charile hass was being called R.C. Hass as a tribute to his brother while in OVW but dropped the name when he came to the WWE
Mrnoitaull Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Shelton would be Backin' the Mack. I could've seen that either that,Walkin Orlando Jordan's path, or taggin with Jordan.
Dandy Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 I met Lesnar on the streets of Seattle before WMXIX, and he is every bit of 295.
razazteca Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Teddy Long would manage Shelton & Orlando Jordan in the Nu Doom stable.
Guest Korgath Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Shelton would be Backin' the Mack. It should've been the other way around, actually. Back in OVW, Shelton teamed with Mack and Shelton was the more popular of the two.
The Tino Standard Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Minor tangent here... What the hell happened to Rodney Mack anyway? It was like right around the time that Mizark Henry showed up, Mack disappeared. Not that I'm begging for a Return of the Mack, mind you, just curious...

There was that whole incident with Helms, but he wasn't suspended for it. Haven't heard about him being released or anything. So likely he was just injured.
deancoles Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Rodney Mack had knee surgery at the end of october and will be out until April.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Teddy Long would manage Shelton & Orlando Jordan in the Nu Doom stable.
