Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Will no doubt be shoved in the 'never be as good as Foley's book' pile with all the others but he is a bit of a smark darling, so here you go: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...2779710-5167036
The Mandarin Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 18: That time I sorta' pissed in the aisle of an airplane.
AndrewTS Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Bob'll probably look to preorder this as soon as he finds out. "William Regal: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE S.) William Regal, Neil Chandler " *sigh* I guess that means another ghost-written book. If it's not being written by the actual wrestler, why bother? Especially when likely what happened is that the writer and wrestler hung out for a day or so, and the book was written from that. It still could be quite interesting. If it covers the Hogan promo, thoughts on the Real Man's Man gimmick, and gives a little bit of dirt, it could be an interesting read.
Lord of The Curry Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 14: Why I potatoed Bill Goldberg and why I liked it.
AndrewTS Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 14: Why I potatoed Bill Goldberg and why I liked it. Oooh yeah, I forgot about that. Although, with Billy on the payroll, I doubt it would be brought up.
Guest Waldo Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 12: How to have a shitty match with Antonio Inoki
Lord of The Curry Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 15: How Chris Benoit saved my career.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 16: Who is Bob Barron, and Why Is He Stalking Me?
The Mandarin Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Oh, no. Please. Stop. This is turning into WWE Unscripted. I don't want to be blamed for two of them.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Id mark out if it was titled: William Regal: A Real Man's Man... oh and Chapter 17: My short stint as a Las Vegas Showgirl
Slayer Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 20: Orange Juice, Real Man Style
razazteca Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 9: How I take care of the bloody Irish -- remembering the matches vs David "Fit" Finley
Nevermortal Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 14th: Kissing Ass (Literally!)
bob_barron Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Chapter 20: Meeting Bob Barron Chapter 21: Meeting Bob Barron (again) Chapter 22: When fans find out your address... I look forward to the book- Regal's a very witty guy and has lived a very interesting life filled with many ups and just as many downs
Youth N Asia Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 That would be an interesting read. Chapter 23: Barron, the Restraining Order
1234-5678 Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 The question is, which will sell less copies..........this book or Moolah's? Where is Flair's book, where is Vince's book?
DerangedHermit Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 The question is, which will sell less copies..........this book or Moolah's? Where is Flair's book, where is Vince's book? I believe Flair has a book coming out next year (see insert in Ric Flair Collection)
Nevermortal Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 26. Bob Barron Riding My Lizard Collection in the Backyard
Slayer Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 27. Lumberjacking with Barron (aka Barron Knows His Wood)
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 29. I got AIDs from Barron. All kidding aside, I'd probably borrow the book from a friend, because Im not really a Regal fan, but I never really heard much "backstage" stuff from him so it might be interesting. If he ever does a shoot interview (if not already), I'd probably buy that first.
bob_barron Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Regal did a shoot interview a long time ago- RFVideo has it. I heard it has poor sound quality so I'm not gonna even bother with it.

Guest Boo_Bradley Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 If it covers the Hogan promo Gah?

In a match with Goldberg in which he was supposed to be jobbing, Regal, apparently pissed about the job, unloaded with shoot punches and kicks to Goldberg. Regal got fired because of it IIRC.
Mystery Eskimo Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 It wasn't the job, it was that Goldberg was being an idiot and not co-operating with his offence. I think.

Still worth the pink slip.

Regal got fired because of it IIRC. Was this Nitro? Because I have the Regal/Goldberg Nitro match, and I don't remember seeing that at all. In fact, Regal was trying to run FGB through a little wrestling exhibition like that stint he used to do at the county fairs, and Goldberg kept messing it up by trying to get out, headbutt the guy, etc. I was marking out, an actual *GOOD* FBG match!
